Overrated-
Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker from Wrestlemania 26: Meltzer went out and said that it was match of the year right after seeing it. All they did was try and redo what they did the year before. I highly enjoyed their one from 25, though.
Underrated-
British Bulldog vs. Owen Hart from the European Championship Tournament Finals.
I wouldn't say that Hogan/Andre was overrated. I don't think anyone has said it was a great match, but it helped revolutionize the business and made Hogan a true mega-star.

I honestly don't understand why everytime we have an Overrated/Underrated thread, Hogan/Andre is considered overrated. No body has ever claimed this is a good match. It's all about the ending with the match, not the match itself.

Im going to be really controversial here and say 98% of Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania Singles matches. Now, Im not saying they're not good matches but he keeps getting the name "Mr Wrestlemania" when I feel that his better matches of his career have been away from Mania. vs Razor in the ladder match at SummerSlam, Vs Bret in a ladder match at Survivor Series, vs Taker at Hell in a Cell, vs Ric Flair on I believe it was Prime Time or Superstars.......I feel the actual matches were much better then work he's done at Wrestlemania. With the exception of Wrestlemania X Ladder Match.

With the exception of Wrestlemania X Ladder Match. I agree 100%. It waqs annoying as hell listening to the HBK fanboys during the last few years of his career eat up anything Shawn did. Was he a great wrestler, yes, but is he so great that he is Mr. Wrestlemania, no. People tend to forget that alot of his WM matches were against other greats like Angle, Jericho, Benoit, HHH, Hart, Ramon, Taker, etc...so it's not like he had to carry anybody. As for his matches, I think that his matches w/ Austin, Jericho, Flair, Ramon, and both Taker matches are overrated. W/ Austin, it was amazing that HBK could do what he did considering his bad back, but the match wasn't anything special. His match w/ Jericho was one of the better matches of the night, but they went on to have better matches. His match w/ Flair wasn't that good. Everybody seems to think like it was an amazing match that HBK carried, but it wasn't. The only good part about it was the ending. As a whole, it wasn't that good of a match. W/ Ramon, the ladder match was good for it's time, but as for a ladder match innovator, not really. And he even stole the ending from Bret Hart after Hart asked him not to us his ending. I won't even get into how overrated his and Taker's WM25 match is. It was HBK fanboys wet-dream come true.

I also agree that HBK had FAR better career moments/matches outside of WM.heres some off the top of my head
vs Razor Ramon @ Summerslam 95(IMO better than WMX) vs HHH @ Summerslam 2002 vs Undertaker in the first HIAC The first Elimination Chamber vs Diesel @ IYH:Good Friends Better Enemies vs Bulldog at IYH:Beware of the Dog and KOTR 96 vs Kurt Angle outside of WM vs HHH @ RR04
and thats what just leaps straight to mind.yes he had some great outings at Wrestlemania but I didnt enjoy his match with Mcmahon at all.......WM26 had the we seen it before vibe too....

Bulldog/Owen was a SICK match! such a great technical back and forth.... Andre/Hogan...i guess i consider it overrated because SO many people do talk about it,but in addition to it being quite the mediocre match,i openly question it's significance as far as revolutionizing the business...at that point, wrestling had been getting hotter every year for a few years,so the trend was already on the way up....as far as Hogan, i already felt he was a mega-star....it "made" him in the wrestling world's etes ,but to mainstream America,he was already the most well-know wrestler of all time...

Overrated - Taker/HBK at WM 26. Underrated - Taker/Batista at WM 23.

I don't see why people call HBK/Taker over rated, pretty much everybody says WM 25 was better...
plus, it had one of the best, if not the best, stories leading up to it in the last few years. Also, the emotion in the match was insane.

I still find Undertaker vs Stone Cold at Summerslam 1998 to be a very underrated match. It spilled all over MSG, and was more or less a complete knock down, drag out fight. And it ended in a way that didn't really make either Undertaker or Stone Cold look bad. Also featured a leg drop from the top rope that is still one of the coolest ing things ever. Plus Austin got a concussion during the match early on.I believe he got hit and hit the mat too hard. Underrated- Angle vs Benoit RR 03 Overrated- HBK vs HHH vs Benoit- Just didn't see Benoit as whc material. Call me crazy but its just my opinion. I preferably would have want Benoit vs Eddie vs Kurt more. Angle vs Benoit at RR03 is terminallyundertalked.its one HELL of a match.....Steiner vs HHH had no hope following that. Vince should have known this.

vs Shelton Benjamin - Raw (2005 possibly?) As in underrated or overrated? Because when I read the title this was the first one I thought of being overrated, especially on these boards. The match gets way too much credit because of that kick.

I always thought The Undertaker vs HBK at Bad blood in your house and Ground Zero in your house was always very underated matches between those 2 may even be better than their wrestlemania ones Overrated I would have to go with HBK vs Triple H at summerslam 2002 only because I was so much looking forward to this match and the return of HBK and ended up a little disapointed Same with Bret Hart vs Vince Mcmahon at wrestlemania last year.

Underrated: The Benoit/Angle vs. Rey/Edge match at No Mercy, granted it was overshadowed by Taker-Lesnar, but I felt it was the best match on the card that no one talked about, and as well brought a lot of credibility to the new tag belts at that time
as well as the Angle-Lesnar Ironman match which had great wrestling as well as drama.
Overrated:
HBK-HHH HIAC Bad Blood 2004: That match was too long....too sluggish, I felt thier whole fued was played out after the Last Man Standing match.
Jeff Hardy-Taker's ladder match on RAW- The match was good, yes. But to be called one of the best ladder matches....not so much, there were parts that were sloppy, yet I do remember Jim Ross' commentary sucking me into the match more than the actual in-ring stuff. Good match but definitely not the best ladder match.

Overrated:
Hogan vs Andre WM3. Outside of the bodyslam, there was nothing memorable in this match. Andre had trouble just getting around at this point and Hogan was Hogan.
Bret vs Shawn, WM 12. A great match that should have been better. There were too many rest holds and not enough pin falls.
Macho Man vs Flair, WM 8- A horrendous, ill-timed storyline that culminated with a solid, but not great, match.
Underrated:
Rick Rude vs The Ultimate Warrior, SummerSlam '89. One of about 5 good matches Warrior had in his entire career and rarely talked about.
Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels, 30 minute Iron Man, Oct 2005 on RAW- Amazing match that gets lost in the shuffle when talking about the plethora of 5-star matches these guys have in their respective legacies.
Batista vs. John Cena, WM 26. Considering how sloppy Cena usually is and how lumbering/slow Batista is, this was a near miracle. Cena and Bats are like Hogan and Warrior: two bad workers who could bring out the best in one another on a big stage.

WM12 Bret vs. Shawn is badly overrated, its not very good at all.
Underrated I'd go for Kurt Angle vs Undertaker from No Way Out 06, great match.
