Is there anyone here like me who hasn't really collected since the '90s? I was a HUGE collector in the '90s and stopped around 2000. I still buy figures every now and then but for the most part I stopped collecting around the time of the titan tron figures and WCW ToyBiz. I still kept them all and have a ton of figures. Is there anyone here that mostly collected in the '90s but have stopped now?
In my room, I have two large buckets full of WCW Galoobs, OSTM, ToyBiz, ECW, WWF LJNs, Hasbros, Jakks BCA, Titan Tron, a few classics, the old WCW Nitro arena/ring, the first Jakks WWF ring (I also used to have the Jakks Monday Night RAW ring, the Titan Tron, SmackDown entrance and ECW ring with cage.

That's not old, son. Old is japanese Popy, Remco AWA, LJN WWF. You have a sweet '90s collection. It makes me feel old when I look back on getting the AWA Remco Road Warriors and the LJN Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper for Christmas one year. When I was 26. ... actually I was only 8 or 9, but still... the way those things have picked up an aura of being true classics, it makes me feel like a geezer to think I was around to sift through them on the retail pegs at Ames years ago. If you could go back in time to when all that stuff was in retail, how fast would you clear the shelves? I miss those days. |
