wow another legend passes with ANOTHER heart attack.I mean how many is that now from the boom period of mid 80s to early 2000s that have went that way?
for me Savages finest hour will always be the Mega Powers and his feud with Hogan.

Im bout to sit down and watch WM 4 just to see Macho at his finest. I hate that we've lost another. About all I have left from my childhood is Hogan, Flair and Gumby

Im bout to sit down and watch WM 4 just to see Macho at his finest. I hate that we've lost another. About all I have left from my childhood is Hogan, Flair and Gumby now theres a fine idea.Ill be watching the main event of WM4,S-Slam 88,SS88 etc all the way through to WM5. in my mind Savages finest hour |

Its crazy to think in 6 months, 1 year or even 10 years from now when we talk about wrestlers we lost too soon, we're going to have to add the name Macho Man Randy Savage |

Tomorrow night (when I have some time to myself) I am watching his following matches: WM3, WM4 (last match), WM5, WM7 & WM8 I was lucky enough to see him live at the NEC in Birmingham during the European Rampage vs. Jake Roberts. RIP Macho - an all time legend |

truly one of the greats....was lucky enough to see him wrestle live twice:
July of 1992, Catholic Youth Center in Scranton,PA. , defending the WWF Chapionship against Ric Flair...
ironically,July of 1993 , TV taping in Wilkes-Barre,PA. facing IC Champ Shawn Michaels for the title (it was a non-televised match)
can't...honestly,i can't believe it.... and,SOMEHOW,Flair and Jake The Snake are still walking around...

I wish I could have saw him live! He will truly be missed. It sucks that we could not see him actually wrestle during his TNA run.

Curious as to why you're surprised Flair is still going?? Flair was more of a party person then a drug addict. Im sure he had his share in stuff but nothing the likes of a guy like Roberts or Scott Hall. |

on the agenda for me tonight Savage matches with Steamboat, Warrior from Mania and against Honky Tonk and Bret from SNME, very sad, a legend that will be missed

Do you guys think he was another casualty of cocaine? like so many others man he was probably a victim of The schedule,painkillers,drugs,uppers,downers and the rest guys had to take routinely when on the road. my cousin Michael is a docter and he says painkliller abuse coupled with the recreational stuff weakens your heart terribly and detioriates the muscle wall of your heart.the list of guys to go this way is like a whos who of the WWF 88-92 Rick Rude Curt Hennig Davey Boy Smith Hawk Crush Bam Bam Bossman obviously theres loads Im missing and now Randy Savage.unreal. |

Devastating news today. One of the best of all time. Very sad.
Always hoped for he and Warrior to get inducted into the HOF in the same year and finish it all off with a tag match at Wrestlemania. Not going to happen now.

Man Joker, I was just telling you last week that one of my all time favorite matches growing up was Savage vs Hart from SNME.
I also commented that Savage vs Steamboat was the first match I ever saw, and without it I may never have spent my life watching wrestling. Then I listed Savage in the top three of my favorite wrestlers list. And in the regular section I said that The Mega Powers Exploding was the greatest storyline in WWE history.
Just seems like I've spent a lot of time remembering all these great Savage moments lately. And now it breaks my heart to think about them just a few days later.

The late 80's-mid 90s was a golden age of wrestling for me and my childhood, and Macho Man was one of my favorites of all time. I even dressed as him for Halloween this year! His persona just sucked me in...his energy in his promos, his colorful outfits, as well as his in ring performance. He truly was a "Superstar." The first PPV I ever ordered as a kid was Mania 8 when he beat Flair for the title. I always hoped maybe we'd see him back in the WWE some day. He will be missed.

He was truly the "cream of the crop"! The first WWE house show that I went to when I was 12 was main evented by Savage challenging Hogan for the WWF championship in July 1987...great match!
I was lucky enough to see Macho Man wrestle in person 2 more times...

A true true legend which is a term that really gets thrown around alot these days but in Randy Savages case its really deserved he really is one of the all time greats.
I was lucky enough to see him live twice both in 1992 once was a WWF title match against The Mountie at a house show in Glasgow and the other was against the Ultimate Warrior at Summerslam the same year.
I loved his whole run that he had with the Warrior back in 90-91. I hated him for what he did to the Warrior at the 91 Rumble and could not wait for Warrior to get his revenge at Wrestlemania but at the same time I didn't want Macho Man to retire.
I have so many memories and thoughts on Randy Savage but the biggest compliment I can give is that he is one of the very few wrestlers that in my own personal opinion I never saw a boring match with him in it.
