Downloaded the demo 2day and was pleasantly surprised to see it's Packers at Bears. This is the first time I've played a Madden Game since the one that had Vince Young on the cover whenever that was. I'm more of a basketball game guy, but I think I'm gonna pick this up when it comes out. Played 2 games (one on rookie and one on pro) and blew the Packers out both times. Gonna have to bump it up to All Pro and see if it's more of a challenge (I'll probably get my ass kicked haha)

Man play action is really in bad in this game.

For some reason they have made Rodgers horrible in this game. I find myself running much more often than I should due to his horrible inaccuracy this year. It's either that or they've tweaked with the throwing too much.

As a Falcons fan, hearing that play action sucks is really, REALLY bad. That is usually like 25% of their playbook. And I like to run it.

The problem that I'm having with this Madden is that I can't seem to get enough time to go through a progression on pass plays. Course, that could be more about that Packer O-Line and not the game engine itself.
Also, I have a tendency to give away the game if I'm leading in the second half. Rodgers was tossing up some absolute garbage on some of those plays.

Only gripe I have it that it seems fast. Like everything is sped up. Passing, rushing, etc, etc. Also while playing my nephew BJ Raji almost caught up to Devin Hester, and to that I say LoL ok

Yea, there's no time to throw at all.
Granted I don't mind chucking it up to Nicks sometimes, but I like having a mid-range passing game.

I used the Packers in the demo and didnt have a problem with play action. It also might have to do with the AI being set differently. You can run Play Action in every single play or else teams would figure it out. There's always a time and place for everything.

Just played a game on All-Madden difficulty. I would have won the game 14-13 had I not played like a moron in the last minute. They ended up winning 16-14.
I've played 4 games on the demo today. 2 on All-Pro, 1 against a buddy, and the All-Madden one I just mentioned. I only won 1 of those games. I always throw at least one INT in the 3rd quarter, it's my downfall.

It is fun, but like others have said passing is weird. I saw on the loading screen they have a very in depth passing feature for each qb (like throws spirals, gets frustrated, etc.) My main problem is not being able to break tackles at all. As soon as someone touches someone they go down.

Blocking is terrible on kickoffs/punts. Passing is a little more difficult so I need to work on that, but the run game is improved greatly from the no suction tackles. Definitely a solid demo that I hope translates into a solid game.

I find myself nearly returning TDs on kickoffs with Knox on All-Pro. I think the blocking and coverage has heavily improved this year. Don't like how LBs are amazing in coverage though. Great QBs (Brees, Manning, Rodgers) can throw over a LBs head with ease. Can't count how many times Pisa Tinasamoa has picked me off because of a bad throw that was intended for a fairly open Finley.

I had a few more user picks today, but still, passing can be extremely frustrating. The pass rush is so intense.

I've only played as the Packers, and while I do share the same sentiments about the pass game and the pass rush, I honestly find myself sneaking out of the pocket more and still able to make the passes.

I'm pretty good at getting user picks too. Collins and Woodson are pick machines.

I just had the sickest game on All-Madden. It's a dead lock for 3 quarters tied up 3-3. I couldn't get ANYTHING going passing, but my coverage on defense was great, so I was shutting DA BEARS down. About a minute left and I get the ball after Gould misses a 48 yd FG that woulda gave Chicago the lead. Rodgers finally pulls his head out of his ass and decides to become clutch. hits Jennings on a 48 yard streak off of a no huddle. Then hits him again on the sickest post route one handed catch and he gets tackled at the three. 40 secs left Starks runs it in. Cutler somehow hits Hester on a 30-something yard catch and they're at the 5. Then Cutler gets sacked by Raji and they have 8 secs to get it to the line. Gets it off with 1 second left and throws a fade to Knox and he bobbles it and drops it, game over. IN INTENSE

After the demo i have high hopes for this game. I know its still not even out yet but the demo is better than NCAA 12 retail IMO. The gameplay is easily the best its been for the next gen, and can finally be compared to the old-gen versions again. Play action works pretty well, you just have to know when and when not to use it. Graphics are a better, helmet and uniforn degredation looks sweet. I love the stadium atmosphere in this game, they look and sound so much more alive than in NCAA12.
