Im writing plans for a new pic fed, i got alot of inspiration from ROP and ROG .

Ever since wwefan167 left, this board hasn't been the same. Hate to say it, but 2006 was the best year this board had even with the whole WF-spam thing going on. Really some amazing shows put out and a lot of the guys who did shows got proper replies. I never remember what happened to pfz but I lost the link to it which still annoys me.

Ugh, I noticed that a couple of months ago. No idea why imageshack suddenly decided that every single image violated their TOS. Its either a glitch or something to do with hotlinking, but considering its a hosting website, it shouldn't be the latter.

My screen name was wallsofrock, I actually didn't have a fed but was mod of the board for a couple of months, remember doing an award show and wrote a couple of (text) house shows for the FCW as a little feature they did on their website.

A lot of the screen names on here I still recognise...deskjet, Mikey, brm I think.

From reading around and the responses this thread has generated I definitely don't think this place is dead!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks to me like theres too many members, probably of the younger generation, doing a couple of shows and then quitting, or one show then restarting. Also definitely rushing shows just so they can post them on here and get a bit of quick feedback. Remember FCW...those guys worked at their own pace, they didn't rush when people who posted threads or sent them messages demanding the next show...they would just take their time and eventually, even if it was a few months later, release insanely high quality stuff. And whether you liked pic feds or not, nobody could deny that what they were making was excellent...it was that good even the admins were watching it! THAT's what's missing in my opinion...

No disrespect to current fedders but I don't think theres anyone who is really setting the standard and giving other wannabe fedders something to aspire to. The standard has slowly gone down.

I think what this place needs is an older member, with a little bit of spare cash as someone else said, to put together something of a good quality, from the pictures right through to the storylines and website, that really galvanizes the board, attracts attention and gives it a little buzz again.

I don't want to put too much pressure on myself early doors, but I'm gonna give it a try.

I don't agree with you 100%, bro, though you raise some very valid points. There are still people here putting on amazing shows. You don't see them post one every week, but when they do, it's incredible stuff. Some are great at taking the pictures, others are great at telling the story, some are expert posers and some are just good at making the whole show fit. Some examples for me are Tirva and brm, or Warsman when he used to put up his shows.

Ha, theres still plenty of time for me to get some abuse yet...

To be honest my statement that there is nothing exceptional on here was made from scrolling through the last couple of pages of shows, and I didn't watch them all either...so there is probably some great stuff knocking about.

There are still some great feds up, but without support they wither and die. Too many groups/cliques/fighting and guys only supporting their friends killed the board. I seen some great shows up, and they basically get ignored. I also seea lot of 'PROMISE' feds that go on for a couple of pages with updates and such but never come to fruition, thats been happening for awhile now. The only member left of the territories is me, with a couple of guys still interested we may keep going. BRP, samsson, stingersplash all have shows up that get little or no reaction at all.

Pic fedding always has down time, it booms over the summer and into the winter, then when classes pick up (since most of the fedders are in education bar a few) the rate of shows up decreases. It'll be fine again by July.

Edit: I'd bet money that this time next year, we'll have a topic just like this. Sure the fighting doesn't help, but a lot of the community's moved on now and it probably is just a tiny minority who'll never get along who feel like the other half is holding the board back. As for the mod, it was probably a bad decision leaving the board's modship to a person who doesn't have much time for pic fedding due to work commitments, but that's just personal opinion. Nothing to be concerned about here at all. When we get like the backyard board and die majorly, yeah, then we worry!

I disagree shifty, I think wars did a decent job with what he had to work with. Sure he made mistakes, but the board was aflame at the time and he did the best he could. I see some great new fedders on here that arent from the split groups that show great promise so as long as we have that and look to the future instead of what happened in the past or how great the board used to be then the board will be fine. Your right it is slow during the spring until people get out of school. Everyone will be back for freedomania I am sure.

And you really cant single one person out and blame him for what happened on the board, thats not fair, not saying you are, but everyone involved, you and I included added some kind of tension to the fighting goin on in the past. If you want the board to flourish PARTICIPATE!

I wasn't blaming Wars, nor criticising the guy, just saying that it would have been more sensible to hand it to someone more active, that's all. Entitled to an opinion, no? I have stuff in the works as usual, lots of ideas, at the minute though just been helping certain people out more than working on my own stuff though recently.

I've been known to poke my head around here from time to time as I'm boys with a couple of the older fedders. I saw this thread, and I did in fact throw this thread to the admins for their attention for you guys. What will happen is beyond me, but still.
