Hey guys, a couple months ago somebody posted a house show Royal Rumble match that took place at MSG a few days before the 1994 Royal Rumble I believe.
The Rumble is by far my favorite match, so I was wondering if there is any more of this type of stuff floating around out there. I've seen every actual Rumble about a billion times so is there another house show Rumble or possibly a Rumble-style match from another federation?
If you guys know of anything I'd love to see it.

Are you talking about this one? Well the one that was posted before took place at Madison Square Garden actually, but this is very cool as well. These are the types of things I'm looking for. I wonder if the WWF did a series of warm-up Royal Rumbles in '94 or something.

Smackdown had in 2004 to see who would face Brock Lesnar at NWO for the WWE title.
There was that 7 man one on Raw in February.
The mini-royal rumble in 2008, lol.

I saw the Raw Rumble, but what was the mini-royal rumble in 2008? I didn't really watch between 2002 and 2009 so I'm not exactly privy to a lot of stuff that happened over that timeframe. Also, is there any chance that the original ECW or another federation had a Rumble-type match? I know WCW had World War III, but that was just a three-ring battle royal.

The mini-rumble was when Hornswoggle (I think you know who he is if you've watched 2010 and 2011) qualified for The Royal Rumble match in a tag team match with Mick Foley, so I think either Vince McMahon or Jonathan Coachman put him a the mini-rumble to see train him for the real one or some thing. I think it was like Mini Batista, Mini Kane, Mini Mankind, Mini Mr. Kennedy, and Mini Khali

I found the 1998 tag team Royal Rumble on youtube. It's strange because I never missed a Raw back then so I must have seen it, I just don't remember it though.
Lol at the random team of Taka Michinoku and Bradshaw.

It makes me very sad to think of a time when WWE had enough teams to do this sort of thing.

Thanks for the link to the Tag Team Rumble.
Also, the battle Royal that Cena/HBK had was pretty good.

What I'd really love to find, but probably doesn't exist on video since it was a house show, was the "test" Royal Rumble the WWF did in October 1987.
This was a few months before the first televised Rumble in early 1988. They were testing out the concept on a house show and ran a Rumble match that was won by the One Man Gang. Except the fans turned on it badly, because the match was said to be for a title shot against Hulk Hogan at the next house show in that town.
During intermission of the show (and before the Rumble took place that night), they announced the return date, with a main event of Hulk Hogan vs. One Man Gang for the title... completely giving away the winner of the Royal Rumble the fans were waiting to see that night.

I'd never heard that story before, and I would really love to see that. Like you said though, it's really unlikely that the video of it would be available anywhere. I'm assuming it was a 20-man like the '88 Rumble?
