What kind of wrestler was Billy Graham? How were his matches? If you could compare him to other wrestlers, whom would he compared to?
I feel ashamed as I have never seen one of his matches. Any help would be great.

His best matches, at least that I've seen, were with Dusty. He was more of the ground-layer for big guys like Hogan.

Yeah, he was admittedly never a great worker, he was passable but he was all about the Body and the Mic. Comparable to Hogan/Jesse Ventura. Decent psychology but nothing spectacular. Lots of Punchy/Kicky & restholds. Bearhug for a finisher.

I have his DVD.Its worth buying. So do I and I would say the exact same thing. It's definitely worth buying. Matter of fact, I'd say it's one of my personal favorites out of the many, many , many WWE DVD's that I do own.

In fairness to Superstar, the style of wrestling back then was a lot slower and more methodical, and highspots were few and far between. Things like a headlock or an armbar still meant something in the context of the match.
But yeah... even compared to his main-event peers in the 70s, Superstar's technical ability was pretty limited. What made Superstar great was that he was awesome at interacting with fans, his opponent, and the referee.
He also was better at selling than a lot of "power wrestlers" were... again, chalk that up to Superstar being a superior performer when it came to telling a story, if not wrestling a technical masterpiece of a match.

I really need to get around to watching that DVD. I picked it up when Wal-Mart was running that $4 sale and never got around to it yet.

Well I guess I've got to pick up Superstar's DVD. From his book and what many have said abotu Graham is that he was indeed ahead of his time. Many stores still carrying his DVD?
