* Alberto Del Rio opens up SmackDown talking about Edge, Christian and WrestleMania. Edge drives a tow truck out and has Del Rio’s car from WrestleMania on it. Teddy Long comes out and announces Christian vs. Del Rio will take place tonight with the winner facing Edge at Extreme Rules in a Ladder Match.
* The Corre vs. Team Big Show from WrestleMania will take place tonight with a 2 of 3 falls stipulation.
* Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston & Santino Marella vs. The Corre
- The babyfaces win the first fall... Wade Barrett pinned Santino Marella to win the second fall. Kane attempts to chokeslam Barrett but is triple teamed. The Corre is disqualified.
* Cody Rhodes b. Trent Barreta
- Cody gets the win following his finisher. After the match Rhodes continues to attack Barreta and Rey Mysterio comes out to make the save.
* Edge and Christian are shown backstage. The talk about possibly having to face each other at Extreme Rules.
* Kelly Kelly & Beth Poenix b. Lay-Cool
- Typical divas match. Kelly Kelly got the win via pinfall on Layla. Michelle McCool was favoring her back and blames Layla for the loss.
* Michael Cole and Jack Swagger come out to the ring and cut a promo. Cole continues to boast about his Wrestlemania win against Jerry Lawler. Swagger says that Cole was easy to train.
* Sin Cara comes out and takes Jack Swagger out.
* Layla tells Michelle McCool that she's signed them up for couples therapy. Michelle says they're not a couple... Layla tells her to just 'show up.'
*Alberto Del Rio defeated Christian to earn a World title shot at the Extreme Rules PPV.

As one of the biggest peeps around this pisses me off a ton. It feels like Vince is purposly messing w/ all of Christian's fans now by teasing a world title push. It was bad enough that they made him Edge's bitch and put Christian in his corner during WM instead of adding him to the match, but now instead of giving the fans a great ladder match at Extreme Rules w/ Edge and Christian, we have to sit through another Del Rio/Edge match(their WM match wasn't that great IMO). Nothing against Del Rio but Christian is one of the greatest ladder match specialists ever. We know that him and Edge can put on a good ladder match(No Mercy 2001).
Sure, Christian got two wins over Del Rio before WM, but it's about damn time that he got a world title shot for once. He jobbed to McIntyre and Rhodes all last year and never complained, so give him his due already Vince. The fans are dying for it. Not just the internet fans, but the majority of WWE fans. Stop screwing w/ us and give Christian a world title run already.

I guess they are saving the Edge v Christian v ADR triple threat for later. I am kinda sad Christian is not involved. Wonder what [if anything] he will do at Extreme Rules now. LayCool on the way to breakup is not a shock. Poor Layla she is trying.  I guess they wanted to give the 8 man tag match that got 3 minutes at WM a lot more time? Too late they all got  ed at WM... |

They'll probably screw Christian again and just stick him in Edge's corner. If they turn him heel, it'll make even less sense since Christian hates Del Rio for injuring him in storyline.

They are building Christians turn, which I'm fine with. He is getting closer to the title and greed will end up taking over. I like it

I had a sneaking suspicion that the IWC would have a collective heart attack that Christian didn't win. You all didn't think Del Rio wasn't going to get a re-match did you? Funny though at the idea that Christian is "Edge's bitch." How so? They are friends. Edge has been DEL RIO'S BITCH!!! Edge is the one who is having his arm attacked every week by Del Rio and CHRISTIAN'S Edge's bitch? MmmmmmmmmKay.
Del Rio will probably win here in one of Edge's own matches...typical WWE. But glad to see Edge retain at Mania FINALLY.in an excellent match.

Sin Cara fits better on Smackdown hopefully they'll keep him there and bring Evan Bourne over as well in the draft.

I like that Christian keeps inching closer, but can't quite get there. It's going to push him to the brink and eventually and he'll snap on Edge.
