Why is Bret Hart on Jim Duggan's team on Survivor Series 89 while Jim Neidhart gets to be on the Ultimate Warrior's team? It don't make a lick of sense. Bret is completely out of place on Hacksaw's team and looks like a complete fool engaging in their 2x4 antics, something Jim would look great doing. Plus, Warrior's team needed that 2nd guy who could actually wrestle who was ready for the mid-card and The Anvil didn't fit the bill. Then again, they didn't have anyone who was big in size minus Warrior so maybe they needed Anvil.
Nevermind any of that, just explain why they split up the Hart Foundation over 2 different teams? Lol

Bret was scheduled for a singles run in late 89, but for reasons not known to me, Vince put the Harts back together soon after. Bret got his delayed singles run after WM7.
I think it worked out for the best.

Vince had decided to put Bret out solo in 1990 but delayed it for year and gave the Hart Foundation another run with the Gold.

Because, Neidhart was always the better wrestler and screamed "Main Eventer" more than anybody.

Neidhart was pretty damn underrated in my opinion. When the Hart Foundation were together, Bret was the technical one, but Neidhart was the power house and the only one who could cut a promo out of the two of them. Because, Neidhart was always the better wrestler and screamed "Main Eventer" more than anybody.

haha, I was actually just thinking about this exact same thing the other day. Just always seemed very weird to me that they wouldn't have The Hart Foundation on the same team, but I guess if Bret was supposed to get a singles run around that time then it makes a little more sense
