Hi, this is a question to everyone who can help but I thought mabye Stomwijf might be able to help me a bit better...
About 10 years ago mabye, I went on holiday to Holland to see family, and in a small shopping center in Nijmegen (could have been Appeldoorn) there was a little shop selling bootleg Hasbros, and I bought one of every figure they had (unfortunatley I no longer have these bootlegs) the ones I bought included an orange haired Jim Duggan, a black moustached Hulk Hogan, a yellow vested Rick Rude, Jake Roberts with his arms on the wrong way round and another who I really couldn't recognise...
And it is that wrestler who I am asking about. All the heads and parts were clearly Hasbro parts, but the head on that last figure, I just can't recognise, I've looked through pictures of Hasbros but I have never found anybody with the same head.
So I wondered if you (or anyone else) has any pictures of bootleg Hasbros so I can pick this wrestler out. Its an odd request but it's driving me crazy trying to think who it could be...
Thank you.

The knock-offs you're talking about were by Simba of Germany. I think you mean this one:

Not sure, the head may be from another toyline or a mold produced by Simba self... it looks somewhat like a modified Akeem head.

Possibly Akeem but I'm not so sure .... I have the set of six, the other five are pretty evident (Piper, Hogan, Duggan, Ax and Roberts), but for this Simba figure, I do not know for sure who's head they used. It certainly was not of any WWF Hasbro figure, although he does look a bit like Ted DiBiase with extremely short hair.

I had an idea that mabye by some change, Simba got hold of a test head of some kind and used that, but a Hasbro figure was never made with that head but I highly doubt it...

The one with the Piper head could easily pass as Tommy Rich. Nice figure for a bootleg.

I'm sure this has been pointed out before, but the "Rick Rude" head isn't from any hasbro-released figure, either. The Hasbro Rude has the permed hair and a different facial expression. Maybe this company did heist some prototypes, like that Mannix company did with the "Shawn Michaels/Bob Holly/Luger/we're not sure" head on their bootleg line.

Which Rick Rude head are you talking about? I see none.

The one that's not pictured. I'm going from memory, but I remember there being a figure with a head that looked like Rude, but slightly different. Could be (and apparently by your terse response, this is the case) that my memory is just off in this instance.

It somehow reminds me of Petey Williams (ofcourse he wasn't wrestling back in 1990)

It's possible that's what I was thinking of. I'm not heavily into the knock-offs and bootlegs, so I don't pay as close attention to them as a lot of people here.

How do these companies get a hold of the "official" parts to create all these bootleg figures?
