I remember I had stopped watching WCW in 2000 it was just on and off and it was so weird-when I missed a couple of weeks literally EVERYTHING was different than the last time you looked.
there was so many people coming and going it was unreal.

During the Jarrett days is when I started to fall away from WCW, company was just ALL over the place and by 2001 was unrecognizable compared to early 2000.

basically,the story is this....
Russo wanted Jarrett to go over...but Hogan had creative control in his contract,so he said no...then Russo wanted a finish where Hogan won by DQ,Jarrett kept the belt, and Hogan ran off him and Steiner...
again,Hogan said no...day of the event,Hogan met with Russo and Bischoff and exercised his creative control clause and said he was going to win and leave with the belt...then it was going to be declared vacant and there'd be a tournament, where the finals would end with Hogan challenging the winner and regaining the title... Russo decided he rather just have Jarrett lay down and then declare the title vacant after Hogan left ....Hogan went along with this, though said he expected the fans to be pissed at getting ripped off...the guy who was Russo's boss was also there and approved this finish as well,so in Hogan's mind he felt Russo had no choice but to do what they had set up....
so,they went with that finish, and Hogan walked out with the title... what happened then was Russo went off on his own and did the whole public rant against Hogan and declared Jarrett still champ and made the match against Booker T....
that's what Hogan sued for, breaching his contract by going against the creative control clause he had put in it and changing the storyline he had agreed upon....

In Russo's book, I think he says that Hogan knew he was going to do that promo and sued anyway.

I remember actually buying the PPV that all happened on and it was pretty exciting to watch it all unfold live. It was WCW's best PPV since '97, and pretty much the last good event that they had. It signaled a new direction for WCW, but for the most part they really couldn't build on it.

I agree. They spent more time talking about Jim Crockett Promotions than WCW from 1999-2001. ECW has a shorter history but was given a longer documentary. The funniest thing about RAFOWCW was when Goldberg said "Everything Vince Russo was associated with...smelled like $#!+".

I really enjoyed it. Especially because I remember 95% of it very vividly, especially the Crocket era stuff. Brought back a lot of great memories.

someone else put it best in a review when it first came out:
the documentary assumes you already know about most of what they talk about, and therefore doesn't go into much detail, figuring you already know all about it...
