The go home show for Survivor Series. Very excited for this. Great promo from Mike Awesome to kick off the show, hyping his encounter with Stone Cold Steve Austin for Sunday. Awesome vs. 'Taker sounds like one hell of a main event. Solid opening contest, I liked the destructive showing from Kane. Good promo from the European Champion Owen Hart, adressing his betrayal of Davey Boy Smith. On top of that, a good win for him over X-Pac. Smith attacking afterwards was lovely, hopefully setting up something for Survivor Series on Sunday. Would be great. Liked the showing of a more serious side for Jeff Jarrett. Yes! Sacrifice Debra! #SatanicRituals for the win! It all makes me sympathize with Jarrett and Debra, though. Quite a lot of Ministry this past hour. I'm not complaining, though. 'Taker introducing Mable, now Viscera, was awesome. The wrist slitting was some classic Attitude Era over the top sh*t. Kane being involved in another dirty finish tonight, not too sure on that. I did like the Ministry laying out Kane post match, though. Further establishes them as a great threat, and shows the newly added Viscera's unison with the rest of them. Decent win for WWF Champion Mankind over Prince Albert. The aftermath with Shamrock laying a steel pipe to Mankind's car and ambushing him was fine. It's more build to the match at Survivor Series, though it's a shame that the WWF Title match is not even the second most built match. With the Austin/Awesome and Ministry/Corporation programs overshadowing it, I can't really get that excited for it. It's a great opportunity for Shamrock, but one that he'll obviously come up short on. Owen vs. Davery Boy officially on the card for Survivor Series. Nice. Up next, an odd WWF Tag Team Championship defense for the Brood against the Nation of Domination. The reason I say it's odd is because the Brood are out of place here in the middle of the feud between D-X and the Nation. Plus, I feel that with the Brood being there, there should have been some involvement from the Corporation. And I'm not that big on the stipulation for D-X and the Nation's match on Sunday, simply because I expect both factions to soon disband, regardless of the outcome. Finally, great main event between Mike Awesome and the Undertaker, but holy sh*t. I was not expecting a clean victory for Awesome. I like it, though. McMahon distracting Undertaker is the perfect final piece of build heading into the Traditional Survivor Series match. Austin then taking out Awesome with a Stunner was fine, but the ending felt so "calm." I would've liked to have seen some big ass brawl with the Corporation, the Ministry, Austin, Awesome, and maybe Mankind and Shamrock. Overall, a decent go home show. Some things were a bit off to me, but nothing that killed my enjoyment. Looking very forward to reading Survivor Series.

THE BRIT REPORT Presented by Mike Potter on Thursday 12th November 1998
-- You can see my review of Sunday Night HeAT and RAW is WAR here.
-- Blitzkrieg has been signed to a contract officially.
-- WWF RAW defeated WCW Nitro again this week in the Monday Night Wars, with a 4.8 to 4.7 rating.
-- There is still no word on who could end up disbanding at Survivor Series. Apparently there are ideas on what management want to do with everyone involved with the match, regardless of result.
-- Steve Williams' debut is expected to occur at the turn of 1999, most likely on the January 4th 1999 show.
-- Speaking of newcomers, Justin Credible's promos should start running following the Survivor Series. Credible has been signed to the company since September.
-- Apparently the Insane Clown Posse want to record a song dedicated to Kurrgan and Giant Silva. Of course this will most likely lead to a push for this massive combination, and air time to the ICP in return to promote their album release from last month.
-- Sabu has been receiving heat in the backstage area, apparently for his poor working behavior and stiffness on certain moves. If he keeps this up, him and Rob Van Dam's push could be derailed.
-- The Jackyl quietly resigned from the World Wrestling Federation two weeks ago. It was known for quite some time, as Tori replaced Jackyl in the former Oddities combination, though they are now joined by Steve Blackman.
-- It is not yet known when Val Venis will be back. He's been working with a bad neck for quite some time, and will most likely/hopefully be back in time for WrestleMania XV.
-- WWF has the Survivor Series on 11/15/98. The card currently is: - Steve Austin vs Mike Awesome in a Street Fight for Austin's contract - Mankind vs Ken Shamrock for the WWF Championship - The Corporation (rumoured as being Jeff Jarrett, Big Bossman, Steven Regal, Test and Vince McMahon) vs the Ministry of Darkness (The Undertaker, Gangrel, The Acolytes & TBA) - D-Generation X vs The Nation; Losing Faction Disbands - Abismo Negro vs TAKA Michinoku for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship - Owen Hart vs Davey Boy Smith for the WWF European Championship - Sable vs Jacqueline in a Last Encounter match for the WWF Womens Championship
-- ECW had November 2 Remember on 11/01/98, in results from the card: - The Blue Meanie & Nova def. Danny Doring & Amish Roadkill - Tommy Rogers def. Tracey Smothers - Lance Storm def. Jerry Lynn - Masato Tanaka & Balls Mahoney def. The Dudley Boyz to win the ECW World Tag Team titles - Tommy Dreamer & Jake Roberts def. Justin Credible & Jack Victory - Sabu, Rob Van Dam & Taz def. Shane Douglas, Bam Bam Bigelow & Chris Candido (RVD and Sabu still work certain shows for ECW)
-- In results from WWF RAW is WAR on 11/09/98: - Test, Big Bossman & Steven Regal vs Al Snow, Bart Gunn & Bob Holly; no contest - Owen Hart def. X-Pac - Christian def. Jeff Jarrett by DQ - Kane def. Viscera - Mankind def. Prince Albert - Mark Henry & The Godfather def. The Brood by DQ; Brood retain the WWF Tag Team titles - Mike Awesome def. The Undertaker
-- In results from WCW Monday Nitro on 11/09/98: - Kidman def. Juventud Guerrera to retain the WCW World Cruiserweight title - Alex Wright vs Barry Horowitz; no contest - Scott Norton def. Lodi - Rey Mysterio Jr def. Eddie Guerrero - Rick Steiner & Judy Bagwell def. Scott Steiner & Buff Bagwell by count-out to retain the WCW World Tag Team titles - Konnan def. WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 15th November 1998 St. Louis, Missouri - Kiel Center
We kick off Sunday Night HeAT tonight with Stone Cold Steve Austin making his way from the parking lot into the Kiel Center, and tonight it was do or die for the "Texas Rattlesnake"s career! The opening video package for Sunday Night HeAT aired, and we cut to the live Kiel Center for HeAT! Michael Cole and Shane McMahon were on commentary, as they promoted what to expect out of this hour before Survivor Series, with a tag team battle royal kicking us off!
1) Rob Van Dam last eliminated Prince Albert to win a tag team battle royal; Rob Van Dam & Sabu challenge the Brood for the WWF Tag Team Championships tomorrow night on RAW is WAR - Participants: Rob Van Dam & Sabu, The Oddities, The Hardy Boys, Kai En Tai, Too Much, Dan Severn & Steve Blackman, The Disciples of the Apocalypse, Southern Justice, the JOB Squad and Kurrgan & Giant Silva. The winning team in this tag team battle royal would go on to challenge the Brood for the WWF Tag Team Championships tomorrow night on RAW is WAR, as these ten tag teams battled it out. Kurrgan and Giant Silva were the largest team in this match, but Prince Albert and Dan Severn as well as the Disciples of the Apocalypse managed to dispose of the over seven-foot tall Silva. Kurrgan soon followed as every team worked together to get him out. Eventually, the match came right down to the Skull, RVD, Dan Severn and Prince Albert; their respective team going to face the Brood tomorrow night when winning. It finally came down to Albert, as Albert tipped the "Beast" over the top rope out of nowhere, and RVD suddenly came out of nowhere, the "Whole F'N Show" with a top rope heel kick sending Albert over the top rope! (7:12, **)
Rob Van Dam celebrated his win, as tomorrow night, the "Whole F'N Show" and the "Arabian Nightmare" Sabu challenge for the WWF Tag Team Championships!
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
Kevin Kelly was shown standing by with Davey Boy Smith, as Kelly asked for the "British Bulldog"s thoughts on how his brother in law, Owen Hart has changed. Smith mentions that Owen has not been the same ever since he dropped Val Venis on his head, and if Owen wants to turn back to that obnoxious, arrogant man he once was and got his arse kicked for, Davey would happily be the one that kicked his arse! Davey mentions that they fought to determine the first ever WWF European Champion, and Davey was the man who won. Tonight, it happens again!
The "World's Most Dangerous Man" was shown arriving at the Kiel Center, as Michael Hayes catches up with the number one contender, Hayes asking for words from Ken Shamrock before his WWF Championship opportunity. Shamrock tells Kelly that tonight we will see Mankind like we've never seen him before. This year we've seen Mankind eat defeat various times. He's fell from the top of a Cell, he's been busted open on more nights than the St Louis Rams have won, and he's lost NEARLY as much as the Rams! Tonight, Shamrock will make Mankind tap out for the first time ever. And he will take the WWF Championship in exchange for a broken ankle!
The theme of the "Lord of Darkness" hit, and the Undertaker came out to the ring, the "Deadman" without Paul Bearer currently, as the "Phenom" climbed into the ring to loud cheers, Undertaker talking about how we are only an hour away from the apocalypse of the World Wrestling Federation. Survivor Series...eight years ago is where he started. And he's dancing with the devil. Tonight, the Corporation will fall into a hefty demise courtesy of the Ministry of Darkness. On a night where the Higher Power will be watching over him, he can say that he's coming home tonight. Tonight, the "Deadman" leads an army of justice and tarnishes all that Vince McMahon produced. The pyrotechnics of Kane then hit, as the fans cheered loudly, the "Big Red Machine" walking out to the ring and staring face to face with the "Lord of Darkness"! Kane tells Undertaker that he can do what he wants to the Corporation, but when it's between the Brothers of Destruction, there's no end to their problems. Kane tells Undertaker that he is far from done with the 'Taker's deeds, challenging him to duel here tonight on HeAT! 'Taker laughed, telling Kane that this is a stupid request, and he has definitely decided to decline. However, his followers have an idea for Kane. With that, the Acolytes ran to the ring, Bradshaw and Faarooq trying to double team Kane just like last Monday night! The "Big Red Machine" managed to Chokeslam both of them, 'Taker laughing and telling Kane that he can face them in the main event.
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
A video package aired, reviewing the rivalry between D-Generation X and the Nation, as this rivalry featured Triple H taking the WWF Intercontinental Championship, Chyna getting attacked by the Nation and then kidnapped by them. DX impersonated the Nation and proved to be cooler than the Nation, to which the Rock responded. These ten men have been in several wars over the past three months, and it ends tonight when the losing faction must disband forever!
2) Abismo Negro def. Tom Brandi - Abismo Negro expected a hard-fought battle later tonight with TAKA Michinoku, but here tonight he fought the "Sincere One" Tom Brandi. Brandi tried to mat-wrestle Negro, but Negro was far too good in the ring for Brandi to fire back. Negro caught Brandi with a hurricanrana and then tried El Martinete just for Brandi to block it and work over Negro's lower legs, an STF locked in. Brandi stalled though, confidence showing off strongly as Negro soon managed to fight back, enziguiri and then a muscle buster. Negro set up for the top rope and prepared a frog splash just for Brandi to get his knees up. Brandi nailed a jawbreaker and covered for a near fall, as Brandi tried to wrap it all up with the diving neckbreaker, but Negro dodged it and came at Brandi with the El Martinete for the win! (5:21, **1/2)
Abismo Negro celebrated his win, and tonight he will have to fight harder than that as he challenges TAKA Michinoku for his WWF Light Heavyweight Championship.
Jacqueline and Luna Vachon of the Pretty Mean Sisters were standing by as Kevin Kelly caught up with them, Kelly asking the WWF Womens Champion for some pre-match thoughts before her final encounter with Sable. Jackie talks about how it has been eight months too long. And we all know that Sable wants this final match so she can go home, get fat and get pregnant! Luna talks about how she's not jealous of Sable, Sable's the one who is jealous of Jackie's fame!
The New Age Outlaws were shown arriving at the arena with Chyna, no X-Pac or Triple H in sight!
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK === 4) The Acolytes vs Kane in a handicap match went to a no-contest - Quite the drag-down, knockout handicap match as the Acolytes have shown quite a new roughhouse personality ever since Bradshaw and Faarooq returned to the WWF to join the Corporation last month. The "Big Red Machine" traded heavy hands with Bradshaw as Kane managed to fight against Bradshaw, knocking the Texan down with a big boot, Kane preparing a Chokeslam just for Bradshaw to get out of it, the Clothesline From Hell connecting for a near fall. Faarooq got the tag as Faarooq and Bradshaw double-teamed Kane, the two Ministry members beating down on Kane as the evil Paul Bearer watched on from ringside. They tried the double Powerbomb just for the Corporation to suddenly hit the ring! Steven Regal, Test, the Big Bossman and Jeff Jarrett all started beating down on the Acolytes, Jarrett slamming a guitar over the skull of Paul Bearer! Suddenly, Viscera, the Brood and The Undertaker made their way to the ring, a massive brawl with the Corporation and the Ministry of Darkness entaling! (5:00, **)
Bodies were flying everywhere as the Ministry of Darkness and the Corporation showed no stopping, and in a few moments, the Survivor Series begins, and they will get it on officially, live on pay-per-view!
A video package aired, promoting the Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mike Awesome feud, as the "Gladiator" assaulted Steve Austin during his match with Commissioner Shawn Michaels back at Breakdown, brutalizing Austin and taking the "Texas Rattlesnake" to the limit on all shows following. Austin wanted to fight back, and he would release his rage in a match with the Chairman, Mr McMahon. Austin broke Vince's leg and was fired just days before he was to face Mike Awesome on pay-per-view at Judgment Day. Awesome instead fought Ken Shamrock in a match where the winner would challenge Mankind for the WWF Championship, but the unemployed Stone Cold Steve Austin came through the crowd and cost Awesome the match! Austin managed to regain his job the next night by kidnapping the Chairman, and held a (toy) gun to his head for the job. Awesome was now the target of Steve Austin, as McMahon decided that Austin and Awesome will fight at the Survivor Series in a Street Fight for Austin's job position in the World Wrestling Federation!
Sunday Night HeAT went off the air.

Decent enough edition of Heat for a pay-per-view pre-show. Hopefully this means the supercard itself should be up soon. I see Owen vs. Bulldog has been added to the card and that should be a good match. Don't know why Negro wrestled on Heat when he already had a title match scheduled on the pay-per-view, plus there was no real setup or anything. And we got some good promos from the participants, including Ken Shamrock usling the classic cheap heat method (even though the Rams were pretty sucky their first few years in St. Louis but that's another topic). Now bring on the show itself!

WWF Survivor Series: Sunday 15th November 1998 St. Louis, Missouri - Kiel Center
A video package aired to kick off the show, based around how power is equivalent to glory, and without power, there is no glory. Tonight, all of the stakes are on the line. Whether it be health, the WWF Championship, a faction's last stand, a family's dissension, or a rivalry's final encounter. Tonight, all stops must be pulled out, and in the end, only one half of the match will walk out...and have survived. The opening graphic for the Survivor Series aired, and we cut to the live Kiel Center for the twelfth annual Survivor Series pay-per-view! Pyrotechnics go off in the arena as it is a Deadly Game here in St Louis! Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcome us to the jam-packed Kiel Center, before running down the card.
We kick off the show with Mr McMahon walking out to the entrance way, the capacity crowd booing the Chairman as Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson stood at either side of Vince, McMahon with a microphone in hand. He introduced us to the show and talked about how he feels there are certain measures that should be enforced into this show. Tonight is a very prestigious night for the World Wrestling Federation. He has two announcements to be made, one being that the two Survivor Series matches MUST have a winning team, and there will be NO Disqualifications and NO Count-Outs! McMahon then reveals that tonight, we will see the career of Stone Cold Steve Austin die, and that is why, tonight's Street Fight; if anybody interferes, even Shawn Michaels, they will be fired on the spot! And lastly, security has been enforced to make sure that Mr Austin actually leaves the Kiel Center after he loses tonight. The crowd boo as McMahon wishes us a good three hours.
1) Survivor Series Five-on-Five Elimination Tag Team Match The Ministry of Darkness vs The Corporation(The Undertaker, Bradshaw, Gangrel, Viscera & Faarooq w/Paul Bearer vs Kane, Test, the Big Bossman, Jeff Jarrett & Steven Regal w/Vince McMahon)An impactful way to kick off the show, as the fans were not expecting this gigantic match to start off of all things. The "Lord of Darkness" led his dark Ministry into battle with the Corporation, as Mr McMahon remained at ringside, cheering on his boys of the Corporation. His Stooges however, decided to stay in the backstage area. Bradshaw and Jeff Jarrett started as "Double J" tried to remain confident against the same man that kidnapped his girlfriend, Debra from him two weeks ago, but Bradshaw was the man who remained strong, powering Jarrett around with ease. Viscera got the tag and he definitely have the weight advantage. Viscera tried to splash Jarrett in the corner, but "Double J" dodged it and got the tag to the Big Bossman. Bossman had his nightstick in hand, and because disqualifications weren't limiting the match, he used it at free will, clubbing Viscera down to his knees. Bossman got in some body punches, and Bossman tagged in the "Hired Gun" Test, Test and Bossman taking it in turns by keeping Viscera on the canvas and not allowing Viscera to tag in his fellow followers of the "Deadman". Kane was dying for the tag, and he finally got it, the "Big Red Machine" spiting the Corporation members, picking Viscera up and shoving him back halfway across the ring! Viscera tagged in the Undertaker, and here we were, the "Lord of Darkness" eye to eye with Kane! Both men traded blows as Undertaker got the better of Kane, Paul Bearer serving as a distraction. The "Deadman" soon tried to Chokeslam Kane, but the "Big Red Machine" blocked it, instead sending 'Taker into the corner, and then into a sidewalk slam! Kane refused to tag in the Corporation, as 'Taker grinned evilly and tagged in Gangrel. Gangrel then ran right into Kane's arms, and Kane struck down the vampire with a Tombstone Piledriver for the three! Gangrel is eliminated! (Corporation 5-4 Ministry) Five on four, this match trailed on, as the Acolytes hit the ring, both of them trying to take down Kane just as they did less than fifteen minutes earlier on Sunday Night HeAT!
Kane traded blows with Faarooq (the legal man) and sent Bradshaw to the floor, the Undertaker then entering the battle and giving Kane a Chokeslam! Faarooq covered, but Kane easily kicked out, sending Faarooq flying. Kane and Faarooq continued to trade blows, Faarooq sending Kane into the ropes and Steven Regal tagged himself in, Kane and Faarooq brawling before the "Lord of Lords" ran in, a high knee to the face of Faarooq! Regal worked over Faarooq and chopped him in the corner, Faarooq then getting locked in the Regal Stretch! Faarooq struggled before Bradshaw got in. Test hit the ring to even things up, and the encounter turned into a four-on-four affair. Regal meanwhile nailed the Regal Cutter on Faarooq when the Undertaker planted Regal with the massive Chokeslam! 'Taker and the Ministry cleared the ring of the Corporation members and Faarooq got the cover. Steven Regal is eliminated! (Ministry 4-4 Corporation) This battle raged on, as the Big Bossman re-entered the fray, nightstick in hand, but he ran right into Bradshaw, and the Acolytes sent Bossman right down with a double clothesline! Bossman was worked over by Faarooq as Faarooq tagged in Viscera, Viscera pounding on Bossman, payback from earlier. Viscera splashed Bossman in the corner, and Viscera was not here to mess around. Bossman out of desperation tagged in Test, and in came the 6'6 Canadian bodyguard, Test and Viscera trading heavy handed lefts and rights, Test sending Vicera into the corner, and Test just about took Viscera's head right off with the Big Boot for the three! Viscera is eliminated! (Corporation 4-3 Ministry)
Test immediately got into a brawl with the Undertaker, as the "Lord of Darkness" blocked Test's attempt at a forearm, 'Taker with a triangle choke applied! The Undertaker worked the shoulder and the arm of Test, taking him right up for Old School, pulling it off and then signalling for a Tombstone Piledriver! 'Taker went for the Tombstone, but Jarrett and Bossman dragged Test onto the apron! Kane then clotheslined Test back into the ring to the Corporation and McMahon's frustration, and 'Taker set up the Tombstone Piledriver for the three! Test is eliminated! (Ministry 3-3 Corporation) The Undertaker challenged Kane to step in the ring, and the "Big Red Machine" almost did, just for Jeff Jarrett to take his place! Jarrett told 'Taker to stop fooling around, "Double J" trying to exact revenge for Debra's kidnapping saga over the past several weeks. The Undertaker and Jarrett traded blows before Jarrett took 'Taker down, the southerner stomping on the knee and then seemingly attempting to set up the Figure-Four Leglock just for 'Taker to keep kicking Jarrett away. Big Bossman joined in, having his nightstick handy. Bossman continued to club at the knee of the Undertaker and the "Phenom" could have been humbled right here! Vince McMahon loved what he was seeing, as the fans booed loudly. 'Taker was down and the Acolytes were struggling to take the tag from him as Bossman connected with what has become known as the 'Bossman Slam', Bossman and Jarrett making a working combination whilst Kane stood on the apron in dissatisfaction. Jarrett soon locked in the Figure-Four Leglock, and it could have been over right there, 'Taker somehow managing to turn it over! 'Taker limped over on his knees to Bradshaw, and Bradshaw ran in, immediately decapitating Jarrett with the Clothesline From Hell for three! Jeff Jarrett is eliminated! (Ministry 3-2 Corporation)
Jeff Jarrett was rolled out of the ring, as Kane decided to step in, the "Big Red Machine" and Bradshaw trading blows before the "Big Red Machine" big booted Bradshaw away! The Undertaker got the tag, and these two were about to get it on one more time right here! The "Lord of Darkness" and the "Big Red Machine" grappled in a test of strength, 'Taker managing to apply the triangle choke one more time, but Kane punched his way out. Kane grabbed 'Taker by the throat as 'Taker returned the favor, the Brothers of Destruction locked in a chokehold with one another whilst Paul Bearer looked happy at his sons competing. But suddenly Jeff Jarrett slammed a guitar over Kane's head! Kane turned around and went for "Double J" but Kane was distracted by Jarrett and 'Taker turned him around to Tombstone Piledrive Kane! Kane was down and Jarrett began to leave, frustrated. Kane is eliminated! (Ministry 3-1 Corporation) Kane sat up and looked angry, the "Big Red Machine" laying out the referee, as well as the Undertaker with a Chokeslam! Kane rolled out of the ring, flipping Mr McMahon off as he left, but the real concern that McMahon now had was the fact that the Big Bossman was left to fight the Undertaker and the Acolytes! Bossman picked up his nearby nightstick and ran at the Undertaker, but 'Taker handed him a Chokeslam, and that three count was the last ride for the Bossman! The Big Bossman is eliminated (Ministry 3-Corporation 0)
Sole Survivors: The Undertaker, Bradshaw & Faarooq (The Ministry of Darkness) @ 19:25 (**1/2)
The crowd cheered as Mr McMahon looked on from ringside unsatisfied with what had just come of the Survivor Series match, and the Undertaker stood tall with the Acolytes in the ring, the "Lord of Darkness" rising his arms as Vince started to head back up the aisleway, 'Taker throwing down his arms and suddenly a bolt of lightning struck the stage! The fans cheered as McMahon dove down, the Ministry of Darkness perhaps finally getting to McMahon!
We see Kane in the backstage area throwing objects around, the "Big Red Machine" with a fuse under his ass after being screwed over by both the Corporation and the Ministry of Darkness moments ago in the Survivor Series match. Suddenly, the Brood jumped Kane, Kane managing to fight Edge and Christian off until Gangrel and Viscera got involved too! Viscera splashed Kane into a wall as Gangrel planted Kane onto the concrete floor with a big DDT! They then dragged Kane away from the camera as the Ministry of Darkness had seemingly taken possession of the "Big Red Machine"!
We cut to the backstage area as Michael Cole was standing by with Owen Hart, the "Black Hart" asked for his thoughts prior to this match with his 'ex' brother-in-law, Davey Boy Smith. Owen laughed, telling Cole that he got it in one. Owen talked about how this time last year he was jobbing out to Stone Cold Steve Austin, and now the "Black Hart" is now finally WWF European Champion and getting somewhere in his career whilst the "Texas Rattlesnake" is on his way out of the company! Hart mentions that almost two years ago, there was a tournament in Europe for the vacant WWF European Championship, and it all came down to two WWF Tag Team Champions, brother-in-laws if you will. Owen talks about how Davey's selfishness got him the title. And now tonight, Owen's going to take back a win of his own, because it's not selfishness now, it's pure justice!
2) WWF Light Heavyweight Championship Abismo Negro (c) vs TAKA Michinoku
The still yet to be defeated WWF Light Heavyweight Champion challenged the man who he has fought various times in the past on Sunday Night HeAT and Shotgun Saturday Night. TAKA Michinoku won a four-man tournament to gain this right, and the Kiel Center surprisingly loved the antics of these two athletes. Negro started off with some hard-hitting strikes, Michinoku stunned by them and Negro began to start worked on the shoulder of Michinoku, to try and affect the strength of Michinoku which enables the Japanese man to pick Negro up for the Michinoku Driver. Negro kept TAKA down but Michinoku finally managed to start fighting back, the Asai moonsault and the handspring elbow gaining Michinoku some leverage against Negro. Michinoku seemed quicker than Negro, but Negro continued to fight, catching TAKA with a belly-to-belly suplex. Negro continued with a diving senton connecting, and Michinoku managed to kick out and start firing back. Michinoku outwrestled Negro with various armdrags as well as hurricanranas, Michinoku proving why he was the right choice for the first ever WWF Light Heavyweight Champion eleven months ago. Michinoku continued his streak, another moonsault from the top rope connecting just for Negro to kick out. The battle raged on as Michinoku tried to run at Negro, Negro leapfrogging, and Michinoku went shoulder-first into the ring post. Negro tried the magistral on the weakened shoulder of Michinoku just for TAKA to kick out and fire back with one of his own. The two exchanged roll-up style holds before Negro suddenly knocked Michinoku out with the TKO out of nowhere! Negro went up for the frog splash and connected, but TAKA shockingly kicked out at the last minute. This battle of intensity and skill raged on, as Michinoku managed to regain his composure, a bicycle kick connecting to the jaw of Negro! Michinoku tried the double foot stomp just for Negro to dodge it, but Negro blew out from lack of energy, and Michinoku took this opportunity to set up the Michinoku Driver, Negro getting out, and the Martinete connected for the final three! Winner and STILL WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Abismo Negro @ 11:28 (***1/4)
Abismo Negro celebrated his win as the fans cheered, the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship successfully defended as these two had proven why they were the best in the world. TAKA Michinoku slowly recovered as Negro confronted him, the two men awkwardly staring at each other before Negro and Michinoku shook hands, Michinoku then leaving as Nero continued to celebrate.
Mr McMahon was shown in the locker room of the Corporation, as he slammed the door, asking what that was all about out there! He mentioned that had Jeff Jarrett not attacked Kane, they would have defeated the Ministry of Darkness surely! "Double J" told McMahon that he did what he had to do, but Vince tells Jarrett not to get cocky with him. McMahon then turned his head to Steven Regal and Test, telling them that they did something, but not enough! Their insolence let them down. It was only the Big Bossman that did a good job out there, and that's because he ran with it until he was laid out! Vince takes a seat, red with anger as Shane McMahon sits by his side, telling Vince that it wasn't their fault. He tells Vince that they just need to control the Ministry. They're too powerful. Vince tells Shane that he's right, deciding that tomorrow night on RAW, he has decided to make a master plan to ensure the Ministry have zero control over the World Wrestling Federation.
Shawn Michaels was shown standing with Michael Hayes, as Hayes asked the Commissioner what his role was in tonight's WWF Championship match. The "Heartbreak Kid" told Hayes that he's pretty ticked off that Vince decided it wasn't wise for him to be around during Mike Awesome and Stone Cold Steve Austin's match, but he's got hope in the "Gladiator". He's given Awesome all of the advice he can, and because Awesome is equal to Austin in the ring, he knows, no, he guarantees that he will kick Steve Austin's ass right out of the Kiel Center, and out of the World Wrestling Federation. Michaels reveals that he will be in the corner of Ken Shamrock in tonight's WWF Championship match however, as per orders of the Chairman. And he can't wait to see how the match will turn out.
A video package aired, promoting the eight month rivalry between two of the hottest females in the World Wrestling Federation, Sable and Jacqueline. Sable was once the beautiful blonde valet of "Marvelous" Marc Mero, but soon after Sable's popularity sky-rocketed, Mero dumped Sable and started dating the more luscious Jacqueline. Jackie was more wild than Sable, and the two grew a strong disliking for each other. With chain matches, stripper matches and bikini contests, male fans were thrilled. Luna Vachon soon sided with Jackie, returning to the WWF to bully Sable. Sable in return had Sunny backing her up. As time went by, Mero left the company, and Jackie won a womens battle royal to become the new WWF Womens Champion. Jackie rubbed it in Sable's face, but after all of this training, the time is now, and this is Sable's last opportunity to fight Jackie! The Final Encounter was next.
3) WWF Women's Championship - Final Encounter Jacqueline (c) (w/Luna Vachon) vs Sable (w/Starla Saxton)
This was indeed eight months in the making. These two women were about to get it on for the final time as Sable took Jacqueline down right from the get go. After a lot of intense training, the beautiful blonde was more pumped up than ever, taking Jackie down with a snapmare followed by a dropkick to the back, Sable taunting Jacqueline, telling the reluctant WWF Womens Champion to challenge her like a true woman wrestler. Jackie continued to fight back, beginning to mat-wrestle Sable, as Jackie got in a few cheap slaps as well. Whenever Sable tried to regain momentum and mount a comeback, Jacqueline would knock her down again with a sudden move, or have Luna Vachon distract the referee and Sable. Jacqueline worked over the neck of Sable, Jackie reaching for a tiny purse from Luna Vachon to reveal it was full of makeup! Jacqueline pulled out the mascara in her confidence, the arrogant ebony tried to ruin Sable's pretty face, but Starla soon ran around ringside, Saxton taking Vachon down with a clothesline! Jacqueline decided it was time to finish it rather than play dressup with Sable's face, and Jackie prepared the tornado DDT just for Sable to turn it into a northern lights suplex! Sable and Jackie fired back and forth as Jacqueline tried the cradle, Jackie with the cover but Starla then slid into the ring, rolling Sable over and Sable had Jacqueline covered! Sable and Jackie got out of it but Jackie ran right into a big kick to the abdomen, and Sable delivered a big Sable Bomb to Jacqueline! Sable covered, and that was it!
Winner and NEW WWF Women's Champion: Sable @ 5:47 (*1/2)
Sable had finally done it, as Starla Saxton picked up the WWF Womens Championship and handed it proudly to the new champion, as Jacqueline remained down on the canvas, Luna Vachon rolling Jackie out of the ring in shame. The Pretty Mean Sisters' gameplan had backfired, as Sable was our new WWF Womens Champion!
The Undertaker was shown in the parking lot as the Acolytes brawled with Kane, the "Big Red Machine" still with some fight in him, as he tried to fight off Bradshaw and Faarooq. 'Taker then laid Kane out with a big clothesline, Kane being position in the back of a hearse! The Ministry climbed in and made away with the "Big Red Machine"!
A video package aired, showing Owen Hart's 'black' twelve months, the "Black Hart" having become bitter due to Mr McMahon screwing brother Bret out of the WWF Championship in Montreal. Owen was set out to honor the Hart Family and everything it stood for, even needing help from brother-in-law, the "British Bulldog". Owen and Davey Boy Smith teamed up and won various times against McMahon's evil Corporation, and Owen soon grew sick of having a Family member around to 'boss him around'. Owen turned his back on Smith, and now Davey wants retribution. Tonight, the two men that fought in the finals of the WWF European Championship tournament to determine the first champion, compete again for the WWF European Championship!
4) WWF European Championship Owen Hart (c) vs Davey Boy Smith
This was over a year in the making as these two men were family. They both competed in Stampede Wrestling, and last February in Europe, the "Black Hart" and the British Bulldog, whilst WWF Tag Team Champions fought in the finals of a tournament to determine a new champion, the first ever WWF European Champion. Owen has held the title since June, and has showed no signs of giving it up when competing. Davey Boy Smith went into this one, not seemingly bothered about brutalizing the man who stabbed him in the back on two occasions, Davey tackling Owen to the canvas and trying to matwrestle, hammerlock applied. Owen managed to slime out of it, Owen with a waistlock takedown followed by a front facelock. This was followed up with a dropkick right between the eyes of Davey Boy, and the "Black Hart" proved why he was such a great champion five months into his title reign. Owen took it up a notch, going right to work on the knee of Bulldog, Hart with a sly chop block to the back of Davey's leg. Owen stomped away at the leg and dropped knees on it, Owen yelling that he was here to end this 'Family tradition'.
Owen pulled away at the weakened knee of Davey whilst Davey Boy managed to kick Owen away with his good foot. Davey clotheslined Owen before trying to regain some momentum, a dropkick of his own! Owen tried running at Davey, but Davey Boy reversed it into a tilt-a-whirl, putting Owen on his shoulder ready for the Running Powerslam; but Owen slipped out and got Davey in the head with the enziguiri. Owen started to work the knee some more, an STF applied as Davey attempted to get to the ropes. Owen wanted to torture his brother-in-law, as the "Black Hart" stomped at the knee of Davey several more times before Davey got back up, northern lights suplex out of nowhere! Owen was covered, but he managed to kick out in time. Owen planted Davey with a run-up tornado DDT, using the turnbuckle as stairs in the process. Owen started to go after the back, as Owen picked Davey up and planted him with a backbreaker, Owen covering Bulldog for a near fall. The British Bulldog was in a bad way as the fans chanted the British superstar's name, Bulldog trying to give Owen a right hand just for Hart to reverse it with a reverse DDT, Owen using his knee to drive it into the spine of Davey on the way down!
Owen grinned confidently, picking the legs up for the Sharpshooter it seemed, but Owen applied the Texas Cloverleaf instead! Davey rived in pain, Owen unforgivingly working away at the leg and spine of the Bulldog! Bulldog was stuck in the hold for two minutes or what seemed like a lifetime, Davey finally able to reach the bottom rope. Owen refused to let go, cockily releasing it at a four-count. Owen and Davey went back at it, Davey managed to cut Owen right off with a spear! Davey pounded away with heavy handed lefts and rights, the British Bulldog managing to plant Owen with a big suplex, Owen's wind taken right out of him, and Bulldog climbed up to the top rope, Davey coming off with an axe handle, but it could have re-injured the knee of Bulldog! Bulldog paused as he then picked Owen up, planning the Running Powerslam, but Owen slipped out and rolled Davey up for a near fall! Bulldog then picked Owen up and took him right down to the canvas with the Running Powerslam! He covered, but Owen got a sly foot on the rope! Bulldog tried to plant Owen with another one, Bulldog desperately wanting that WWF European Championship. Owen managed to give Bulldog another enziguiri, Bulldog down on the mat, and Owen applying the Sharpshooter! Bulldog rived in pain, but suddenly the bell rang!
Winner and STILL WWF European Champion: Owen Hart @ 15:38 (***1/4)
Owen Hart celebrated his win as the crowd booed loudly, the referee confused by what had just prevailed! Owen celebrated with the WWF European Championship, starting to leave whilst Davey Boy Smith recovered, wondering what just happened! The official asked Howard Finkel what just happened, and Finkel told him that it was under Mr McMahon's call!
We cut to the backstage area where Michael Cole was standing by with Mankind, Cole wanting to get a few words with the WWF Champion moments before his match with Ken Shamrock. Mankind tells Shamrock that his mindset is to cripple him? Well that sounds like an unfortunate coincidence for Shamrock, because he's not so fond of his walking either! Shamrock calls himself the "World's Most Dangerous Man", why, because he smashed up a rental car? Once he gets in that ring, he's going to prove who the real most dangerous man truly is! Mankind tells Cole that Shamrock was an Ultimate Fighting Champion...who the hell cares!? What matters is, Mr Socko tonight will be getting knee deep in Shamrock's jaw!
We cut to the office of the Chairman, Mr McMahon sat down whilst Michael Hayes entered, asking Vince why he rang the bell on Davey Boy Smith moments ago despite him not tapping out. Vince laughed, asking Hayes if he didn't see the irony. He told Hayes that him and Owen Hart's rivalry is over, as far as he's concerned. The Hart Family can bitch and bitch all they want, but the fact is, Owen Hart is much more better. He's more valuable. And it's about time Owen and the McMahon Family start working together. He calls Owen a class act of a professional wrestler, and tonight proved that he was better than the British Bulldog.
5) WWF Championship Mankind (c) vs Ken Shamrock (w/Shawn Michaels)
Ken Shamrock has proved himself in many previous months that he is definitely worthy of a WWF Championship opportunity. The former Ultimate Fighting Champion from Sacramento came to the ring accompanied by the Commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation, Shawn Michaels as the "Heartbreak Kid" was denied access from ringside in the main event between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mike Awesome. The "World's Most Dangerous Man" expected to have momentum straight from the start, but the WWF Champion traded some heavy blows with the challenger, Mankind sending Shamrock right out of the ring, and Mankind followed with an impressive suicide dive over the top! Shamrock tried to scurry away from Mankind, but Shamrock regained momentum with an eye rake followed by a lethal headbutt. Shamrock followed up by tackling Mankind right into the steel steps, as Shamrock picked up the ankle and tripped Mankind back, back of the skull straight into the edge of the steel steps! Shamrock applied the Ankle Lock right here and then, as Mankind screamed in pain, then managing to roll Shamrock away. The match continued in the ring as Mankind was hobbling, Shamrock trying another hip toss just for Mankind to block it and slam Shamrock with a Russian legsweep!
Mankind laid into Shamrock with some lefts and rights before the deranged one dropped a knee over the face of Shamrock. Mankind took Shamrock to the limit as Mankind pulled out Mr Socko just for Shamrock to bite Socko as Mankind tried the Mandible Claw! Shamrock had his teeth around Socko whilst kicking Mankind in the ribs, and Shamrock nailed Mankind with a belly-to-back suplex right over the top rope! Mankind was laid out at ringside, and whilst the referee's head was turned, Shawn Michaels laid Mankind out with Sweet Chin Music! The crowd booed as Shamrock rolled out of the ring, the "World's Most Dangerous Man" going right back after the ankle, and the Ankle Lock was applied again! Mankind this time sent Shamrock face first into the ring post, and Shamrock was laid out! Shamrock's nose was bloodied as Mankind limped over and gave Shamrock a back drop right on the floor! Shawn Michaels soon tried to get involved again, the "Heartbreak Kid" taunting the WWF Champion! Mankind went to grab the Commissioner but Shamrock grabbed Mankind around the waist. Shamrock tried the German suplex, but Mankind had the steel chair, and the deranged one slammed it into the skull of Shamrock!
Winner by disqualification: Ken Shamrock; STILL WWF Champion, Mankind @ 11:17 (**3/4)
Ken Shamrock fell to the floor as Shawn Michaels was given the Mandible Claw! Mr Socko was stuck in the Commissioner's jaw when suddenly the Big Bossman ran to ringside, Bossman slamming the nightstick into the back of the WWF Champion's head! The Corporation ganged up on Mankind as Shawn Michaels gave Mankind the Sweet Chin Music! Ken Shamrock recovered from the steel chair shot, picking up the chair and slamming Mankind in the face as he tried to sit up, Shamrock jabbing the WWF Champion in the bad ankle repeatedly! Shamrock applied the Ankle Lock as the Big Bossman laid out the referee with a nightstick shot, Shamrock and Shawn Michaels continuing the torment on the deranged one until suddenly Mankind tried to fight out of it! Shamrock then released the hold and placed the chair over his ankle, Bossman holding Mankind's arms down. Shamrock climbed onto the announce table, and jumped off, stamping on the chair and perhaps shattering Mankind's ankle! The crowd booed as the Corporation began to leave.
An advertisement aired, promoting WWF In Your House, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, December 13th 1998 from Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada.
The Rock was shown in the locker room of the Nation, the "People's Champ" beginning to motivate the Nation members. Rock told Mark Henry to drop the "Sexual Chocolate" all over that Chyna and make a god damn milk shake out of that some bitch! He wants Rikishi Phatu to do just as their family does, and layeth the smackdown on their candy asses. He wants the Godfather to leave those hoes in the back because they weren't going anywhere, he wants ALL of D-Generation X to ride the Ho Train and take it like the little bitches they are. Rock lastly tells D-Lo that every single one of those degenerate idiots need to recognize. He tells D-Lo that he trusts him most of all. Rock begins to send the Nation out, Rock hesitating, as Shane McMahon soon walked through the door. Shane grinned at the Rock as Rock remained with a look of intensity on his face. Shane lastly wished Rock luck out there.
6) Survivor Series Five-on-Five Elimination Tag Team Match The Nation vs D-Generation X (The Rock, D-Lo Brown, Rikishi Phatu, Mark Henry & The Godfather vs Triple H, X-Pac, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg & Chyna)
This was it, ten men, two factions and only one faction will remain alive after tonight! The Rock and Triple H started things off in this life-changing night, the "People's Champ" and the "Game" trading blows, Hunter managing to catch Rock off-guard with a spinebuster! Rock got back up and Rock was whipped off the ropes, Rock with a flying clothesline, Rock tagging in Rikishi Phatu, and the fans were surprisingly chanting 'Rocky'! Phatu gave Triple H some heavy lefts and rights, but Hunter continued to try and outgrapple the massive Phatu. The big Samoan worked over the ribs of the leader of DX, as the fans had now switched to chanting Hunter's name. Triple H tried to get in some lefts and rights but Phatu scoop slammed Hunter across the ring. The Godfather got the tag, and Hunter was sent into the corner, and suddenly the Godfather ran at Triple H with the Ho Train, Hunter dodging it and tagging in Billy Gunn! "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn ran in and traded snap jabs with the heavy hitting Godfather, Godfather trying to clothesline Gunn just for Billy to dropkick Godfather! Godfather fell into the corner as Gunn splashed Godfather in the corner, an inverted atomic drop connecting. Gunn prepared the Fame-Asser, but Godfather got out of it and nailed Gunn with the Pimp Drop! Godfather covered, but X-Pac ran in and axe handled the fall apart!
X-Pac gave Godfather a tornado DDT before getting back on the apron, Gunn getting back up, and in came the Road Dogg. Jesse James and Billy Gunn pounded on Godfather before James set up the Piledriver, Gunn heading up top for the Spike part of the move, Mark Henry getting involved and giving Jesse James a Russian legsweep! Godfather fell on top of James for a very close fall. "Sexual Chocolate" then clotheslined Gunn out onto the floor, Mark Henry giving James a Big Splash! Road Dogg was down as D-Lo Brown grabbed the tag, the former WWF Intercontinental Champion shaking his head before legdropping James. D-Lo picked James up and prepared the Sky High, Road Dogg somehow managing to fall out of it, turning the move into a sunset flip, and Jesse James got a close fall! Road Dogg prepared the Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll, D-Lo falling into the DX corner, and in came X-Pac! The fans chanted X-Pac as the smaller DX member played for the crowd, three big kicks to D-Lo! One to the leg, the gut and then the side of the face! D-Lo stumbled across the ring into a corner before running at D-Lo with the Bronco Buster, X-Pac trying to finish the match for D-Lo with the X-Factor, D-Lo headbutting X-Pac in the gut! Mark Henry got the tag, and X-Pac tried running at "Sexual Chocolate", Mark Henry with a big fallaway slam! Mark Henry bounced off the ropes, the Big Splash connecting on X-Pac, getting the three! X-Pac is eliminated! (Nation 5-4 DX)
The match went straight rolling as the "Ninth Wonder of the World" Chyna got involved, Chyna giving her male rival, Mark Henry a big scoop slam! Chyna dropped an elbow on Mark Henry, Chyna covering for a near fall. Chyna continued, proving that she was damn dominant for a woman, as Chyna gave Mark Henry a backbreaker, Triple H getting the tag. Hunter climbed into the ring, giving a groggy Mark Henry the crotch chop, and Hunter gave Mark a kick to the gut, Triple H planting Mark Henry with the Pedigree! Hunter got the cover, and the dominant "Sexual Chocolate" was out! Mark Henry is eliminated (DX 4-4 Nation) We were down to eight competitors in this match, as D-Lo Brown ran into the ring, Brown trading lefts and rights with the WWF Intercontinental Champion, the man who won the title from Brown. Triple H gave Brown a running facebuster before delivering the high knee to Brown! Triple H tagged in Billy Gunn, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn with a neckbreaker to D-Lo Brown. Gunn and Triple H dropped knees on Brown, as DX worked over D-Lo's neck. Triple H set up the DDT, but Rock climbed into the ring, a big Russian legsweep by Rock on Hunter! Gunn clotheslined both Rock and D-Lo as Gunn tried the Fame-Asser one more time, "Bad Ass" connecting! He covered D-Lo, but Rock broke it up! In a few seconds, the other teammates ran in, and we were at four-on-four, the fight spreading in the final encounter! Hunter and Rock remained in the ring, as Triple H attempted the DDT but Rock reversed it and planted the leader with the Rock Bottom! D-Lo was on the apron as he went to the top rope, Brown coming off with the Frog Splash! Rikishi Phatu got the tag as he prepared the Banzai Drop, Road Dogg catching Phatu and giving him a powerbomb as Phatu fell from the top rope! Triple H hooked the leg, and Phatu was gone! Rikishi Phatu is eliminated! (DX 4-3 Nation)
The Nation were now at a disadvantage, as D-Generation X had managed to wipe two of its largest members out of the match, the match now down to three on four, Triple H meeting the Rock once again, and Rock took Hunter off-guard with a big spinebuster. Rock prepared the People's Elbow, but once he ran the ropes, Road Dogg pulled the top rope down and Rock fell tumbling to the floor! Road Dogg dove off with an axe handle, and the New Age Outlaws started attacking Rock! Billy Gunn gave the "Great One" the Fame-Asser on the floor, and Triple H looked on from the ring! D-Lo Brown suddenly ran in though, Brown planting Hunter with the Sky High! Brown and Godfather went after the Outlaws as Rock slowly recovered, Rock rolling back into the ring, as the "Brahma Bull" covered the still unconscious Triple H for one...two...no! Rock looked shocked as Hunter had kicked out of Sky High! Rock managed to get back to his feet, planning a piledriver on the leader of DX just for Hunter to backdrop him! Rock got back up and ran into a high knee as Triple H planned the Pedigree, Godfather clotheslining Triple H instead! Rock got the tag to Godfather as Chyna and Road Dogg stood on the apron aching to get the tag. Godfather had the abdominal stretch applied on the leader of D-Generation X, Triple H starting to fade! Hunter soon managed to turn it into a hip toss however, and Hunter made the tag to Chyna! The "Ninth Wonder of the World" hip tossed Godfather, before Chyna picked Godfather up, shocking everyone in the arena by picking the 300 pounder up and slamming him with a gorilla press slam! Chyna kicked Godfather right in the "ho's hangout", all legal in this one, as Chyna then nailed the Pedigree on the Godfather, getting Godfather eliminated! The Godfather is eliminated! (DX 4-2 Nation)
Chyna shocked everyone in attendance here tonight by defeating the Godfather like that, but suddenly D-Lo Brown got into the ring, the Sky High connecting out of nowhere, and he covered the "Ninth Wonder of the World" to eliminate Chyna! Chyna is eliminated! (Nation 2-3 DX) We were now down to two on three, the Nation in a really bad way, as Road Dogg Jesse James came into the match, trading blows with D-Lo Brown, and Road Dogg tried the Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll just for D-Lo to duck a jab and kick Dogg in the gut, D-Lo trying the Sky High just for Road Dogg to turn it into a neckbreaker! Road Dogg tagged in his New Age Outlaws partner, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn awaiting Dogg on the second turnbuckle, Jesse James getting D-Lo up, and the Spike Piledriver connected! D-Lo Brown is eliminated! (DX 3-1 Nation) The Rock was in so much danger, a three on one disadvantage, but the "People's Champ" fired at Billy Gunn with several right hands, Rock attempting the Rock Bottom just for Gunn to reverse it into a Fame-Asser attempt, Rock dodging it and laying Gunn out with the Rock Bottom to get one of the three DX men out! Billy Gunn is eliminated! (Nation 1-2 DX) Road Dogg got into the ring, Triple H joining him as the remaining two D-Generation X members circled around The Rock, for everything the Nation had done to them, but Rock managed to fight them off with several lefts and rights. Rock slammed Jesse James with a spinebuster as Triple H got in a few shots on the "Brahma Bull". Rock clotheslined Hunter over the top rope, and turned around to get Road Dogg try the Pumphandle Slam on Rock! Rock reversed it, nailing the spinebuster on Jesse James, and Rock ran the ropes with the People's Elbow, getting the three! Road Dogg is eliminated! (Nation 1-1 DX)
And so two men remained of the original ten. And only one man could walk out with their faction still together. Rock and Triple H stared each other down, these two met last month for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, only this was very much more personal. The leaders of both factions, perhaps future top stars in the World Wrestling Federation squared off, before Rock and Triple H started trading lefts and rights! Rock tried to send Hunter off the ropes, but Triple H came at Rock with the high knee! Hunter was tired after being worked over by the Nation for the last half hour, but Rock was from having to beat the New Age Outlaws to even the odds in this match to this very point. Rock lured Hunter into the corner with a flapjack over the top turnbuckle, and the "Brahma Bull" went to the top rope, Rock with a missile dropkick missed as Hunter got out of the way at the last minute! Triple H attempted the DDT, but Rock got out of it, the floatover DDT connecting for a two count! The action was so tense in this final battle for their faction's survival, Hunter getting locked in the sleeper hold, and Rock had it synced in, Hunter trying to fight it just for him to keep collapsing. Hunter managed to get to his feet, running Rock's head into the top turnbuckle! Triple H planted Rock with a DDT, Hunter then covering for another tense two count! Hunter decided it was time to pull out all the stops, preparing the Pedigree, but Rock slipped loose, Rock Bottom planned! Hunter though, got out of it, nailing the Pedigree out of nowhere! Triple H got the win and that was all! The Rock is eliminated! (DX 1-0 Nation)
Sole Survivor: Triple H (D-Generation X) @ 36:33 (***3/4)
Triple H celebrated, remaining down on the canvas as the Rock remained down on the mat as well. Triple H was helped up by the official, as X-Pac, Chyna and the New Age Outlaws came to the ring, celebrating as one, D-Generation X having finally put an end to the Nation here in St Louis, in one hell of a match, perhaps match of the year candidate. Rock rolled out of the ring, the Nation all over after this. But you had to wonder what Shane McMahon was doing hinting something to Rock before this match.
Stone Cold Steve Austin was shown, on what could be his final walk out there to the ring in the World Wrestling Federation. The "Texas Rattlesnake" soon came face to face with the Chairman, Mr McMahon. Vince asked Austin if he was nervous, and Austin told Vince that he always thought Vince was a dumbass. McMahon told Austin that if he touched him, McMahon would sue his ass off as well as fire it in front of everybody tomorrow night on RAW.
Awesome was now the target of Steve Austin, as McMahon decided that Austin and Awesome will fight tonight, at the Survivor Series in a Street Fight for Austin's job position in the World Wrestling Federation!
7) Street Fight - If Stone Cold Loses, He is Fired Mike Awesome vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
This was do or die for the "Texas Rattlesnake". After an amazing year in the World Wrestling Federation as top guy, Stone Cold Steve Austin' career could have been over and done with if he was to commit to the slightest mistake against the young lion. The "Gladiator" was very opportunistic and motivated, as Mike Awesome has defeated so many big names in the company, despite only debuting at SummerSlam. Steve Austin went into this one with heavy lefts and rights with Awesome, as Awesome showed no quit, and neither did Austin. Awesome landed a haymaker in on Austin, and sent him into the corner, Awesome stomping at the ribs of Austin in the corner, but Austin fought back with more hard-hitting punches! Austin got out of the corner with a Lou Thesz press, pounding away at the face of the "Gladiator", no interference permitted in this life-changing event. Austin could not handle becoming unemployed after a year like this, the former WWF Champion sending Awesome out to ringside, where the fist fight continued. Austin was sent into the barricade as Awesome picked up a steel chair from under the ring, Austin dodging the shot and Awesome was given a clothesline! Austin picked up the steel chair and slammed it right into the skull of the "Gladiator", Austin continuing with a second one, and Awesome fell right into the crowd! Austin and Awesome fought through the crowd, the "Texas Rattlesnake" definitely without quit as Austin and Awesome traded face-shots into a concession stand table, Awesome then getting a big clothesline, and Awesome was laid out on the table! Austin went up a level and prepared to drop an elbow from the barricade above the table, but Awesome moved and Austin collided through the table! Awesome stumbled up and gave Austin a big scoop slam, landing straight on a set up chair! Stone Cold was sat on the chair, as Awesome ran at him, going straight through the chair and straight through Austin! Their battle went back down the steps in the crowd, Awesome sending Steve Austin flying over the barricade. Awesome played to the crowd, motioning that we were near the end of Stone Cold's career, but he jinxed it as Austin then gave Awesome a spinebuster on the floor! Austin picked up a mat at ringside, intended to protect superstars from landing on unforgiving concrete, and Austin picked Awesome up, going for a piledriver, but Awesome backdropped Austin onto the floor! Awesome low blowed Austin and tried to deliver an Awesome Bomb to Steve Austin, but Austin got out and used the previously used steel chair, slamming Awesome in the skull with it!
Awesome started bleeding as Austin found a table underneath the ring, and he set it up, then positioning Awesome on top of it! Austin climbed up to the top rope, planning to dive off of the second rope with an elbow drop, but the "Gladiator" got up and stunned Austin with a bicycle kick to the gut! Awesome then set up Austin on the table, the "Gladiator" climbing into the ring and running across the ring, a massive leap completely ignoring the top rope, and he went crashing with a suicide dive on top of Austin and through the table! The fans chanted 'holy sh*t' as Awesome dragged Steve's lifeless body into the ring for a two count! Awesome picked Austin up and prepared to end it all with the Awesome Bomb, but Austin got out of it and clotheslined Awesome down! Austin kicked Awesome in the gut and went for the Stunner, but Awesome applied a cobra clutch! Austin struggled, trying to fight it, but as blood trickled down both mens faces, Austin grabbed the top rope, low blowing Awesome and then giving him the flapjack! Austin dropped an elbow before preparing the Stunner again, Austin giving Awesome the middle finger, and the Stunner connected! Austin covered and got one, he got two, but Awesome kicked out! Austin was in utter shock as the "Gladiator" had done what many couldn't do and kicked out of the Stunner! Austin tried to drag Awesome back to his feet when Awesome clotheslined Austin down! Awesome went up top and came off with a splash that missed! Austin kicked Awesome in the gut again, Stone Cold trying the Stunner just for Awesome to block it and he gave him a backdrop, getting two! Austin and Awesome continued to battle, the match going back and forth until Austin went up top but Awesome caught him on his shoulders, Awesome Bomb connecting! The "Gladiator" stalled, just playing to the crowd before ending Steve Austin's career, covering and Austin kicked out! Awesome looked vicious now as he picked Austin up for a second Awesome Bomb, Stone Cold slipping out and nailing a second Stunner on Awesome! He got the cover, and that was all!
Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin @ 20:03 (***1/2) Stone Cold Steve Austin celebrated his win, as the "Texas Rattlesnake" was most certainly staying around in the World Wrestling Federation! Austin celebrated his win over a broken Mike Awesome, the "Gladiator" finally shunned by his rival, Austin seeing Mr McMahon on the aisleway, and the re-employed officially Stone Cold flipped Vince off! Tonight was Austin's night, as Survivor Series went off the air!

You did a good job building up this pay-per-view and didn't disappoint. The opening Survivor Match was solid but it seemes like Kane is a man without a country. Or not after the Ministy captured him. Nice light heavyweight title match, though I was sure Taka was getting the belt after Negro aready wrestled on Heat. Sable gets the Women's belt, which is nice. Wow, Vince helped Owen retain the belt? I imagine Vince is trying to recruit him into the Corporation. The WWF Title match was good but the DQ finish was iffy, don't know if that's going to lead to another match, thought it seems Mankind will be waging war with the Corporation. The other Survivor match was really awesome with DX getting the win and ending the Nation for good. Hopefully The Rock can now move on to better things. The main event was excellent! Austin won as expected but Awesome looked like a beast throughout and didn't look weak at all with the loss. Can't wait to see who turns out to be Austin's next challenge.
All in all another great pay-per-view from this diary. Now onto whatever you're calling the next In Your House supercard!

Alright, finally at Survivor Series. Been waiting for this one for a while now. Huge way to start the show with the Ministry/Corporation Traditional match. The Ministry of Darkness getting the victory didn't really come as a surprise to me. Intrigued by the betrayal from Jarrett to Kane. Solid Light Heavyweight Championship bout with Abismo Negro retaining the title. Honestly a bit surprised TAKA didn't take it tonight. Sable finally captures the Women's Championship. Was obvious, and if this was truly the final encounter between she and Jacqueline, I'm interested in seeing where she goes from here. Maybe take on the prima donna role? Wow, Davey Boy gets screwed out of the European Championship, one year after Montreal. I imagine Owen will be joining the Corporation due to this. Nonetheless, I definitely see this feud continuing throughout the rest of the year, maybe even into the Royal Rumble. Ken Shamrock was never going to win the WWF Championship here. Obvious call for Mankind to retain, though I'm not big on the DQ finish. Simply because I feel it's cheap to cop out of a clean finish in a PPV match for the organization's greatest prize. Interesting aftermath with Mankind getting "Pillmanized," courtesy of the Corporation. Probably a rematch at the next In Your House, I would assume. Actually, what is the next In Your House? Hot damn. 36 minutes for this match? Match of the Year candidate indeed. Triple H going the distance to keep D-Generation X alive was marvelous. As I said before, I still expect them to disintegrate soon, even with this victory. Shane interacting with the Rock? The Corporate Champ on his way? Should be interesting to see what the former Nation members do from here. Lastly, great main event Street Fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin regaining employment. Mike Awesome still looked dominant, even in defeat. Bravo. Overall, an incredible PPV. One of your best works, I believe.

Good choice of match to open up the action. Nice for The Acolytes to get a rub by surviving the fight. Liked Jarrett attacking Kane, wonder where that leads for both men, I have no idea though what is going on with the Kane angle but I look forward to seeing where it goes. Abismo Negro in the Light Heavyweight Division is something different and as champion as well, nice to see him pick up the victory over TAKA Michinoku. Nice recap of the Sable/Jacqueline feud, Sable going over is aight since she was the most popular thing going in that division at the time. Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith was very well written and told a good story. I however did not like the repeat of the screw job finish. Nice WWF Title match between Mankind and Shamrock, like that it didn't end clean as it allows for a further match down the line. Also like the corporation beatdown on Mankind after the match. DX/Nation survivor series match sounded like a lot of fun, big moment for The Rock to overcome 3 on 1 odds and hopefully this will be a catapult for his singles run. Really liked the write-up for the final two between Rock and Triple H as well. The main event was fantastically written, whilst it was obvious Stone Cold wasn't going to be leaving the company the match still made Awesome look fantastic.
Really a top notch show, good job.

Huge opening contest, very surprised at it. Glad the Ministry won and I'm intrigues by a face Ministry of Darkness. Also, glad the Acolytes survived along with the Understaker. The Light Heavyweight Title match was a good read and I like Abismo Negro as Champion. Sable winning was obvious but the right call. Wondering where you go from here as the Women's division was pure crap at this time. Hoping for Lita and Trish sometime next year. Love that you pulled the Screwjob stuff with Owen and Bulldog, very interesting. I can see him joining the Corporation. Never expected Shamrock to win and I'm loving Mankind's reign anyway. I do see Austin finding a way into the WWF Title picture by WrestleMania XV. Hope the post match attack on Mankind doesn't ruin his reign. Awesome DX vs. The Nation match, I would've loved for this feud to end like this in real life. Triple H winning was great and I can see The Rock moving into the main event for good, especially with the Shane stuff. Excellent main event, match of the night for me. Awesome looked like a beast and Austin looks like the top of the company like we expected. Overall, one of the best reads I've had in a long time. Fantastic work.

Good opening segment with Vince bringing two new members of the Corporation. The Owen/Vince alliance should certainly be interesting. Sucks that Mankind's title reign had to end like that, but hopefully he'll get another reign soon. It also looks like DX is now going after the Ministry now that their feud with the Nation is finished. Interested to see where that goes. Huh, a Biritsh Bulldog/Mike Awesome feud? That should be something different. You've also got a nice main event already set up for the next pay-per-view with Austin, The Rock, Triple H and Owen Hart. Triple H and Owen both got nice wins and I didn't mind Austin beating Shamrock, who didn't need another title shot. Rock got a DQ win over Undertaker after Kane interferd but at least you did it on Raw and not a pay-per-view. Overall a good, solid Raw to start the build toward In Your House.

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 16th November 1998 Lexington, Kentucky - Rupp Arena Following the opening WWF signature, a replay aired reviewing last night's Survivor Series, where it was Deadly Games for every Superstar involved: we saw the Nation crumble in an elimination tag team match with D-Generation X forcing the Nation to disband; the Ministry of Darkness reigned supreme in another elimination tag team match, asserting their dominance over Mr McMahon's Corporation; Ken Shamrock was successful in breaking the ankle of the WWF Champion Mankind, defeating him however only via disqualification; and in a move which angered Mr McMahon greatly, Stone Cold Steve Austin was officially reinstated when he managed to defeat Mike Awesome in a Street Fight. The opening video package aired for RAW is WAR, as camera cut to the Rupp Arena in Lexington, where pyrotechnics were going off. Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcomed us to show, reminding us all about the Survivor Series last night.The theme of Mankind played much to the surprise of J.R. and the King, as the World Wrestling Federation Champion limped out to the rampway to kick off, a big ovation for the deranged one, Mankind with the WWF Championship on his shoulder as he hobbled down to the ring, a cast on his ankle after Ken Shamrock brutally shattered his ankle with a steel chair last night at the Survivor Series. Mankind rolled into the ring where he had a microphone waiting for him, as the fans chanted 'Foley' in favor of the deranged one. Mankind started off by complimenting the fans in Lexington tonight to cheers, as he continued: discussing how last night he was in a battle with the "World's Most Dangerous Man", and while he may still be the WWF Champion, he feels like he's lost more than he has won. Mankind commented on how he nailed Shamrock with a steel chair and got himself disqualified last night, and that it was a big accident. But then, Ken Shamrock, Shawn Michaels and the Big Bossman teamed up, and they shattered his ankle - and now he's finding it more painful to walk than ever before, which is saying something. Mankind said that he went to see doctors last night after the event: and they ordered him to stop wrestling until he had it fixed, which would mean...relinquishing the WWF Championship. The Lexington crowd booed this, but that's when Mankind spoke up that he told the doctors "HELL NO!" Mankind told everybody that he wasn't going to be giving up this title for anything because of how long it took him to get here. "If you want this title, Vince, I recommend you try and cripple me right here tonight!" The fans cheered, and unsurprisingly, Mr McMahon made his way out to the rampway followed by Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Shane McMahon and the Big Bossman.The hostile crowd immediately met the Chairman with "a**hole" chants, much to the chagrin of McMahon as he held a microphone in hand. He said that he expected Mankind would retaliate this way, because he is as mentally dumb as he is insane. Vince told Mankind that right now, he's not feeling very happy. Why? Perhaps it could be because last night the Ministry of Darkness got the better of the Corporation and that the Undertaker is now trying to call the shots in the World Wrestling Federation. Or maybe because his arch nemesis Stone Cold Steve Austin is still walking around on the payroll, under contract after beating Mike Awesome. But just maybe because Mankind is a man unfit for the WWF Championship, and that he is disobeying all orders to do the right thing and relinquish the WWF title. McMahon told Mankind that he gave him opportunity after opportunity, but now, it's too late for that. Vince told Mankind that tonight, if he's really feeling healthy, he will go defend his WWF Championship against the Big Bossman in a Hardcore match. The crowd cheered, but Mankind simply glared a hole through Vince and then smiled. The WWF Champion told Vince that he knows he thinks he has got the better of him, but tonight not only will Big Bossman's carcuss be battered and destroyed just like Bossman helped Ken Shamrock do to his last night - but after tonight, the WWF Championship will remain around the waist of the deranged one! The fans cheered, as the Corporation looked on discontent, as Mankind smiled and waved at the Bossman.
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
We returned from the commercial break as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler discussed the main event ahead: as the one-legged, deranged Mankind will defend the WWF Championship against the Big Bossman in a Hardcore match: a test to see how Mankind does with one shattered ankle.The cameras cut to the backstage area where Mr McMahon was headed with Shane, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and the Big Bossman. Bossman stopped the Chairman as they walked to thank him for the opportunity tonight, which Vince replied stating that Bossman went down with the ship last night, eliminated last against the Ministry of Darkness. Vince told Bossman that he wants him to destroy Mankind tonight, and then finally we would have a WWF Champion representing the Corporation, fit for the World Wrestling Federation. Shane then asked about the Ministry getting involved, to which Vince replied simply: "we'll give them hell". Vince then told them he was going to rally the troops in the Corporation.1) The Brood (w/Gangrel) def. Rob Van Dam & Sabu to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships - Last night before Survivor Series on Sunday Night HeAT, Rob Van Dam outlasted nineteen other Superstars to win a tag team battle royal, cementing this shot for him and Sabu to challenge Edge and Christian tonight for the WWF Tag Team Championships. They started out strong, as "Mr Monday Night" went high and got some air with some aerial offense on Christian, before tagging in the "Arabian Nightmare" for some added teamwork against Christian. Christian soon cut Sabu off suddenly with a reverse DDT however, and in came Edge to work over Sabu. The Brood worked effectively as a team, whilst the Lexington crowd were firmly behind the former extremists from ECW; but whenever Sabu had a chance, Gangrel distracted the referee allowing the Brood to work more over Sabu whilst RVD waited on the apron frustratingly. RVD soon got the tag, coming in and monkey flipping both Christian and Edge - but when he nailed Gangrel with a springboard dropkick sending the vampire down to the floor, Edge came from behind to roll Van Dam up, his feet on the middle ropes stealing three to retain the titles! (6:28, **1/4)
The crowd booed as Edge and Christian quickly rolled out of the ring, the Brood celebrating at ringside with Gangrel, their WWF Tag Team Championships still intact as Rob Van Dam was left in the ring looking on furiously; the Brood with another title defense tonight on RAW is WAR.
Cameras cut to the backstage area at this point, where Michael Cole was standing by with Owen Hart. Michael asked the "Black Hart" about his actions over the past couple of weeks, certainly stemming from last year in Montreal with his brother being screwed: but one year later, and Owen wins the exact same way under orders from Vince McMahon himself? Owen laughed, as the WWF European Champion talked about how he decided to do what was in his best interests - and that's simply getting over the past. Owen talked about how tonight Davey Boy Smith will be coming to look for him: but he'll be ready. Owen then walked away to prepare for his match.
An advertisement aired, promoting the encore presentation of the Survivor Series, tomorrow night on pay-per-view.
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
We returned to RAW is WAR where D-Generation X were shown pulling up in their limousine; Triple H, Chyna, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and X-Pac all getting out partying with champagne, as Triple H rallied the troops, raising a toast and guaranteeing them domination of the World Wrestling Federation now that they have conquered the Nation.
2) Owen Hart def. The Godfather (w/Hos) in a non-title match - The "Black Hart" has certainly changed his ways in the past couple of weeks, seemingly stemming from when he broke the neck of Val Venis last month. But nonetheless, the WWF European Champion came out for battle whilst Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler debated speculation of Owen and Vince McMahon working together. Meanwhile there was a big surprise when the Godfather made the first step since the Nation disbanded last night, coming to the ring for serious battle with the WWF European Champion. Godfather was tough at first, trying to tackle Owen whenever he could, even getting him in the corner and splashing him to a big ovation. Godfather was starting all over again tonight on RAW, but soon Owen quickly took over, stomping away at Godfather after he missed a splash from the second rope. Owen worked over the leg of Godfather, but he quickly made a comeback, firing lefts and rights at Owen until the "Black Hart" suddenly clipped Godfather with a quick enzuigiri giving Owen the victory out of nowhere! (3:41, **)
"The Black Hart" celebrated his win to boos, Owen Hart slowly getting to his feet - when suddenly the "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith rushed down to the ring, Davey hitting the ring and firing lefts and rights at the WWF European Champion: seeking revenge after Owen screwed Davey last night! Smith nailed Owen with the Running Powerslam, as Davey was left standing tall; not done yet with his brother-in-law Owen Hart!
We returned to the backstage area where Mr McMahon entered the Corporation's locker room, standing before Mike Awesome, Shawn Michaels, Ken Shamrock, the Big Bossman, Test, Steven Regal, Jeff Jarrett, Debra, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and Shane McMahon. Vince told the boys that last night could have gone down better than planned. McMahon commented that the Survivor Series match with the Ministry of Darkness went down terribly: and because of that, not only is Kane now kidnapped by the Ministry, but he's not under their control anymore. McMahon then commented on Mike Awesome's loss to Stone Cold Steve Austin, keeping the "Texas Rattlesnake" employed: which makes the Chairman question how awesome Mike truly says he is. He warned the Corporation members that they need to prove their worth if they want to be a team player - otherwise, they're fired. "Let's see who has what it takes to be a part of the most dominant faction in WWF history". Vince moved on, telling them that tonight - he knows the Ministry will show up, and he knows Steve Austin will show up too: telling them all to be ready, because they cannot lose another second of this war to them. McMahon then ordered Commissioner Shawn Michaels to come and take a walk with him, as the "Heartbreak Kid" wondered what this was about, the two leaving the room together.
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
We returned to RAW is WAR as Michael Cole was standing by backstage with Mike Awesome. "The Gladiator" stood alone, solemnly, as Cole asked him about his crushing defeat last night at the hands of the "Texas Rattlesnake" Stone Cold Steve Austin. Awesome told Michael that he let the Corporation down, he let Mr McMahon down, and he feels terrible about it. Mike then told Michael that he beat Austin to a pulp and it wasn't enough - which is why now, he realizes that he must win the Chairman over, and show that he is a team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done: it's why he's been trained as the assassin of the Corporation. Suddenly, Mike looked off-screen as he asked somebody what they were staring at. The camera cut to Al Snow of the JOB Squad, as Mike Awesome confronted him. Snow told Awesome that he thinks that he's some kind of assassin, but just like he just showed: he's a wannabe kiss-ass and he always will be. Awesome asked Al if that was true, then he'd meet him in the ring later tonight. Snow chuckled, telling him that he was on - and that he was bringing his JOB Squad with him. The "Gladiator" smiled as he patted Snow on the shoulder, walking away.
3) Jeff Jarrett & Steven Regal (w/Debra) def. The Headbangers - After their loss in the Survivor Series elimination match last night against the Ministry of Darkness, Jeff Jarrett and Steven Regal knew that they had some redemption to do to put them back in the good books of Mr McMahon and avoid being fired. "Double J" and Steven Regal interrupted Mosh and Thrasher's entrance, immediately going to work on them as the match began when Jarrett brought Mosh inside. "Double J" stomped away at Mosh whilst Regal snapmared Thrasher against the barricade wall at ringside; and quite quickly Jeff Jarrett put Mosh away with the Stroke for the three very quickly! (0:33, n/a)
Jeff Jarrett's hand was raised in victory to boos, as "Double J" quickly left for ringside where he picked up his trademark guitar, Jarrett roaming to where Steven Regal was propping a groggy Thrasher onto his feet: and Jarrett slammed the guitar, breaking it over the skull of Thrasher! The Headbangers had been dismantled, and Jarrett and Regal had asserted themselves in the favor of the Corporation. Jarrett and Regal went to leave, but that's when Debra remained in the ring, requesting a microphone.
Debra talked about how she's so happy that things are going everybody's way. She talked about how much was going on, and how much she wanted to be a part of the action. That's when she removed her blazer, calling out the new WWF Women's Champion Sable. "Sweetie I am so happy that you finally won the WWF Women's title - but now you're the champion - and I'll tell ya hunny, I want what you've got. And I'll show you why I deserve it". Debra then put down the microphone and unbuttoned her blouse - then her skirt as well, Debra standing in her bra and panties in the middle of the Rupp Arena! Jarrett was in a state of shock as he then raced back to the ring to cover up Debra, the crowd booing him for doing so, as Jarrett and Regal left whilst comically trying to cover up Debra!
Cutting to the backstage area, Triple H, X-Pac, Chyna and the New Age Outlaws of D-Generation X were making their way through the hallways of the Rupp Arena - as DX appeared to be heading for the ring next!
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
We returned live to Monday Night RAW where the theme of D-Generation X began playing, and with that out came the five members of the dominant faction in last night's Survivor Series elimination match. All of them toasted at the top of the rampway in street gear, before making their way down the rampway with Triple H leading the pack. X-Pac, Chyna, the New Age Outlaws followed, as they all stepped in the ring, showing off for the Lexington crowd. Triple H took centerstage in the ring with a microphone in hand, but not before allowing the fans in attendance to chant 'DX'. At that point, Triple H began to talk about how awesome it is for them to get the job done and once again show why they are the be-all, end-all of the World Wrestling Federation. Triple H talked about getting the job done last night and defeating the Nation, who he admitted put up quite a fight - but at the end of the war, it was D-Generation X who reigned supreme, whilst the Nation perished. Triple H then told the Rock that he might have to find a new pack of chumps to win his battles for him and actually succeed. Moving on, Triple H went to talk about what was next for DX, asking the fans if they were ready to see a war, because the next part of their plan involves taking over the World Wrestling Federation! 17,000 strong in the Rupp Arena cheered, as Triple H continued: "Vince McMahon, you and your Corporation are next. Because we're coming to take the World Wrestling Federation as our own!" The fans cheered louder as the theme of DX hit, and the faction began to leave...until suddenly the lights went out, and a gong was heard.
Suddenly, the theme of the Ministry of Darkness' theme hit, and out came the Undertaker followed by Paul Bearer, the Acolytes, Viscera and the Brood. Meanwhile, the announcers pondered the whereabouts of the "Big Red Machine" Kane - who was abducted by the Ministry last night at Survivor Series. The "Lord of Darkness" spoke without a microphone, his voice instead echoing throughout the Rupp Arena: "I find you are forgetting about one thing." Ominous, the lights returned as Edge, Christian, Gangrel, Bradshaw, Faarooq and Viscera came down to ringside; the Undertaker siccing his Ministry on D-Generation X! X-Pac tried to outrun the massive Viscera in one corner, whilst Bradshaw and Faarooq fought it out with the New Age Outlaws; Triple H meanwhile trying to fend off the Brood when Chyna suddenly busted out a scoop slam on Gangrel! DX and the Ministry were trading blows, but when X-Pac hit Christian with an X-Factor, the numbers disadvantage was too strong! Bradshaw took X-Pac out with the Clothesline From Hell, as Faarooq nailed Billy Gunn with a Dominator: meanwhile Edge and Christian put Triple H down with a double downward spiral: leaving Chyna stood alone with the other members of DX down. The "Ninth Wonder of the World" tried to fight them off, but it was too much as Viscera took her down with a spinebuster! The 500-pounder then bounced off the ropes, connecting with a big legdrop over the face of Chyna! The Ministry of Darkness stood tall in the ring over the devastated D-Generation X. Meanwhile the Undertaker's voice echoed once more: "You will face the unreal wrath of the Ministry...and the World Wrestling Federation will soon perish under our power". 'Taker laughed evilly as Chyna remained down on the canvas, effected by the big leg drop from Viscera.
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
We returned from the commercial break as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler took us back to what went down before the break, as D-Generation X were laid out at the hands of the Ministry of Darkness: as it appeared that DX had another roadblock in their way in pursuit of ruling the World Wrestling Federation. They informed us that Chyna was being checked on by the trainer backstage: a recipient of a 500-pound leg drop courtesy of Viscera.
We cut to the backstage area where Mr McMahon was resuming his chat with Shawn Michaels, who told the "Heartbreak Kid" that brighter days were ahead, ahead of this war with Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Ministry of Darkness. McMahon told Shawn that he admitted he is scared: but right now it is time for the Corporation to step up. Michaels asked Vince what he meant by this, to which McMahon warned the Commissioner: "If you don't step up to the bat as Commissioner, then consider yourself not needed in the World Wrestling Federation anymore". The Chairman had spoken, as he then walked away, Shawn talking at Vince behind his back: "Nobody tells me what to do", walking in his own direction.
We returned to RAW is WAR, as Tiger Ali Singh made his way down to the ring accompanied by Goldust's own ex-wife, Terri Runnels; who was dressed really seductively tonight. Tiger took a microphone and talked about how great it was that in a pithole like the United States of America - that he has found his dream woman. Singh placed his arm around Terri, who told him that he loved her. Singh then discussed how Terri's ex-husband Goldust is a jealous man - a foul man - and even a provocative man: but it ends here. Tiger told Terri that tonight he stops the madness of the "Bizarre One" that will allow them to run away together and live happily ever after. They exchanged tongues when suddenly the theme of Goldust cut them off.
4) Goldust def. Tiger Ali Singh (w/Terri Runnels) - For the past month Goldust has been aiming to defeat anybody his ex-wife Terri Runnels has been aligned with: whether it be the Big Bossman, Kai En Tai, Too Much or the JOB Squad: Goldust has continued to knock them all down whilst divorcee Terri Runnels plans on breaking the "Bizarre One"s spirit until he cracks. Goldust instead charged for the ring and immediately went after Tiger; Singh on the defensive until he caught Goldust off-guard with a kitchen sink knee to the gut. Singh worked over Goldust at that point, whilst the Lexington crowd chanted "sl*t" at Terri, who returned the favor by blowing kisses to her hostile fans. Ali Singh attempted to keep up the good work, until Goldust fired back, and as Terri tried to get on the apron to distract Goldust, it instead distracted the official allowing Goldust to kick Tiger down south: a low-blow followed up by the Curtain Call giving Goldust the victory! (3:14, *3/4)
The crowd cheered as Goldust's hand was raised in victory, the "Bizarre One" then leaving the ring in an attempt to follow Terri Runnels...and Goldust continued to follow him around ringside, until suddenly Justin Credible came from the backstage area, Credible nailing Goldust with a big superkick to the jaw! The ECW alumni had made his debut, as he stood with Terri Runnels on his arm, the two making out over the fallen carcass of Terri's own ex-wife! Jerry Lawler wondered how he could get Terri's attention.
Michael Cole meanwhile was standing by with the WWF Champion Mankind, as he asked Mankind what was going through his mind going into the main event hardcore match with the Big Bossman on one shattered ankle. Mankind told Cole that he's had so many injuries throughout his career, but none of them can force him to take a leave of absence. Mankind talked about how he's been stuck in barbwire, he's been in dumpsters, he's gone through broken glass, flaming tables and even took a few falls from Hell in a Cell: but nothing will ever break him! And finally, a thirteen year career has got him to the World Wrestling Federation Championship: and if the Corporation thinks he can take him down - he would like to see him try! Mankind said he will leave tonight still WWF Champion, broken ankle or not!
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
Back live on RAW we were now in the trainer's office where D-Generation X were at the side of Chyna, who had still not woken up from the leg drop from Viscera. The WWF Intercontinental Champion Triple H looked peeved in particular, as he then stormed out telling X-Pac that he had something to say about this.
Returning to the Rupp Arena, the theme of Luna Vachon was playing as she stood in the middle of the ring ready to get some revenge hopefully on Sable after she beat Jacqueline last night to win the WWF Women's Championship. With that, the theme of Sable played - and out came the new WWF Women's Championship to a huge ovation. Sable made her way down to the ring, then climbing into the ring where she confidently took a microphone before getting ready for competition with Luna. Sable spoke out about her win last night, how she finally beat that Jezebel, Jacqueline. She talked about how much every other woman in the WWF wanted to be her, whilst all the men wanted to see her. At that point, Sable told Luna to put 'em up, because Sable was going to rip her off.
5) Sable def. Luna Vachon in a non-title match - The fans were very keen on Sable, especially after she was victorious last night and won the WWF Women's Championship from Jacqueline. Meanwhile, Jacqueline was nowhere to be seen tonight - but instead, Sable was faced with her former rival in Luna; Jackie's friend. Luna was ruthless early on, pounding away on Sable whilst screaming incoherently. Sable soon made a comeback though, as she cut Luna off with a big slap: Sable then putting Luna down with the Sable Bomb for three. (2:07, *)
The Lexington crowd popped big for Sable, as she posed with her WWF Women's Championship after the bell. The new WWF Women's Champion soon was cut off by Debra, who had made the challenge earlier on to Sable - as she came to the ring in a gown after stripping off her clothes earlier on tonight. Sable looked on perplexed, as Debra presented herself by removing the gown revealing her bra and panties! Sable looked slightly disgusted when suddenly Jeff Jarrett came running down the ramp again, "Double J" trying to cover Debra up; but Debra wanted a shouting match with Sable, and Sable seemed willing to put the WWF Women's Championship on the line!
In the backstage area we see Ken Shamrock pacing back and forth in the Corporation's locker room, the "World's Most Dangerous Man" seemingly peeved as he vented his frustrations out on the Big Bossman, Test and Steven Regal. Ken said that he couldn't believe he's not been given the WWF Championship match tonight. Shamrock said that he was the one that won by disqualification last night - he doesn't understand why Bossman was the one getting the shot. Bossman quickly cut Kenny off, assuring Shamrock that he would be the first one to get a title match. Shamrock meanwhile was p*ssed, telling Bossman he was off to go and talk to Vince McMahon about it.
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
6) Mike Awesome def. the JOB Squad in a handicap match - This match was made earlier tonight, the "Gladiator" much like all members of the Corporation tonight having to prove their worth to remain a member or be outed as an enemy instead. Mike Awesome had then picked a fight with the JOB Squad - tonight represented by Al Snow, Bart Gunn and Bob Holly. Awesome immediately started strong, running down Bart Gunn off the bat and pounding on him with some mean lefts and rights. Awesome nailed Bart with a fallaway slam into the JOB Squad's corner - where he then challenged Bob Holly to try his hand. And Bob tried, a dropkick stunning Awesome momentarily whilst the fans chanted for Head. Awesome soon cut Bob off and began to work over him: Awesome with so much frustration on his mind after losing to Stone Cold Steve Austin last night at the Survivor Series. Al Snow finally got the tag, as he came in and tried his hardest to put down Awesome - but Mike was too tough and smashed Snow with a big clothesline. Awesome followed by picking up Bart Gunn and nailing him with an Awesome Bomb, before covering him for a simple win just like that. (2:44, **)
The JOB Squad had done the job again, as Mike Awesome stood dominantly in the middle of the ring. The "Gladiator" had proven his point, as Mike then picked up Bob Holly and dropped him with an Awesome Bomb as well! Awesome then took Head from the corner of the JOB Squad, nailing Al Snow across the head with his own Head! Awesome was impressive in this outing, as he continued to pose...little did he know that looking on from a monitor in the backstage area was the "Texas Rattlesnake" - Stone Cold Steve Austin was here!
Meanwhile, Ken Shamrock was shown walking up a corridor backstage, the "World's Most Dangerous Man" seeing Mr McMahon and demanding to confront him. Shamrock asked McMahon why he hadn't been given the WWF Championship shot tonight, stating that last night he beat Mankind by disqualification - and then he destroyed his ankle! Shamrock demanded the title opportunity, to which the Chairman told Ken to relax first, stating that Shamrock did not finish the job on Mankind visibly. McMahon then told Shamrock to walk with him, telling him he had something he needed him to do...
Meanwhile, the WWF Intercontinental Champion Triple H was making his way down a corridor; the leader of D-Generation X about to make his second appearance of the night addressing the Ministry of Darkness!
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
The theme of D-Generation X hit and Triple H came out to the ring for the second time tonight: the leader of DX outraged by what went down earlier tonight with the Ministry of Darkness leaving all five members of DX down in the ring, including Chyna, who Viscera leg dropped into unconsciousness. Triple H got into the ring and quickly grabbed a microphone, as he talked about how his mood has drastically changed, and it's all because of the Ministry of Darkness. Triple H said that he took it up a notch now, because he's not going to stand around and let the Undertaker conquer them. The WWF Intercontinental Champion challenged the "Lord of Darkness" to a match next Monday on RAW is WAR, telling Undertaker that he can manipulate who he wants and abduct who he wants - but it's now time to come back down to reality - and that reality is getting his ass kicked by Triple H.
However, it wasn't the Undertaker who responded to the challenge: instead, it was Mr McMahon himself, who was met with loud boos and "assh*le" chants galore. The Chairman stood at the top of the ramp as he told Triple H that he's having a very busy night, so he'll keep this short. McMahon told Triple H that he doesn't have all the time in the world for this stupid war D-Generation X want to enforce themselves in with the Ministry of Darkness - because that's not DX's war: that's the Corporation's. Besides, Triple H is going to be very busy himself because on Sunday Night HeAT this week, he will be defending the WWF Intercontinental Championship against none other than...Ken Shamrock! The crowd booed, as McMahon walked away without hearing Triple H's demands; Triple H had been declined the match with the Undertaker for next week, and instead made to defend the Intercontinental title against the "World's Most Dangerous Man" this Sunday on HeAT! This had not been DX's night.
Meanwhile, Mankind was shown limping down a corridor preparing for battle, as the WWF Championship is on the line in a hardcore match with the Big Bossman: up next.
=== COMMERCIAL BREAK ===
7) Mankind def. The Big Bossman to retain the WWF Championship in a hardcore match - The main event that was expected to be a train wreck - and that it could have been, as Mankind with one shattered ankle went at it with the Big Bossman with the WWF Championship on the line - in a hardcore match. Bossman tried to bring Test down to ringside to start off, but curiously Commissioner Shawn Michaels came running down to ringside to cut him off, telling his own Corporation ally Test to return to the locker room! Mankind meanwhile battled Bossman with a clothesline over the top rope: the one-legged WWF Champion getting a stop sign and going to town on Bossman with it, nailing him repeatedly. Other weapons became involved, including a table, a steel chair and Big Bossman's signature nightstick - which Bossman used to profusely clobber the bad ankle of the deranged one. Mankind was resilient though, as Bossman repeatedly aimed to try and get the win and seek his first WWF title victory. But Mankind kept kicking out, much to the shock of Jim Ross on commentary. Bossman tried to nail Mankind with the Bossman Slam - but even that wouldn't work! The Corporation member didn't know what else he had to do - so he did the Bossman Slam through a table - again for two! Mankind had the Lexington crowd behind him: as he then battled his way out of it - soon nailing Bossman with a double-arm DDT onto a chair - later an apron chair drop onto Bossman as well! Mankind was going to do whatever it took, and that's when Bossman slammed Mankind in the ankle with the nightstick again: this time trying for the ankle lock - but Mankind reversed it and locked in the Mandible Claw forcing Bossman to give up the match! (13:29, **1/4)
Mankind was harmed, but he was victorious, albeit unable to stand after the work done to his broken ankle. The WWF Champion raised the title up high despite this, as Mankind tried to use the ropes to his advantage: and that's when Ken Shamrock came running down to the ring! The "World's Most Dangerous Man", six days away from his WWF Intercontinental Championship match with Triple H on HeAT, and twenty-four hours removed from breaking the ankle of Mankind in the first place, then locked in the Ankle Lock on a defenseless Mankind - just bending and twisting the broken ankle of Mankind! The crowd booed loudly as Mankind was suffering in the ring - which is when the Rock suddenly rushed down to the ring! The Rock rushed off Bossman and Shamrock of the Corporation - the fans actually cheering the former leader of the Nation! But then...Rock slammed a steel chair against the ankle of Mankind, sandwiching it against the canvas repeatedly! The Lexington crowd booed loud with the Corporation stood tall, when suddenly Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme hit - and out ran the "Texas Rattlesnake"! Austin hit the ring, trading blows with all three members before delivering a Stunner to Bossman, and a Stunner to Shamrock! Austin tried to give one to Rock but he darted the ring! Austin stood tall in the ring, and he wanted some more of the Corporation! Austin attended to a pained Mankind down in the ring, but Austin stood tall as RAW is WAR went off the air!

It looks like you redid the Raw after Survivor Series from what you had before (then again I'm the one completely restarting my WWF 2001 diary), but that good because this is definitely better. I'm guessing Rock is Vince's new chosen one to go after the WWF Title and that will kick off the violent feud between them. You also start the ball rolling on an Austin/Rock feud, which I'm also interested in seeing how it plays out, as well as the DX/Ministry feud. You've got some good stuff for your return so let's see where it goes form here.

THE BRIT REPORT Presented by Mike Potter on Thursday 19th November 1998
-- You can see my review of Sunday Night HeAT and RAW is WAR here.
-- Chyna will be out injured for a few weeks due to the kayfabed legdrop from Viscera on RAW is WAR. Despite this she is very highly thought of by the writing team, particularly Vince Russo. She should be back by In Your House on December 13.
-- The Rock jumped ships to the Corporation to contribute to his push. Despite the Nation having disbanded, it is suspected that D-Generation X will also be taking a break to focus on working each member with an original push en route to WrestleMania XV.
-- Savio Vega and Mark Canterbury have been released from their contracts due to budget cuts. It is predicted that there are more to come.
-- WWF RAW defeated WCW Nitro again this week in the Monday Night Wars, with a 4.8 to 4.7 rating.
-- Though storylines are clustered with the massive Corporation faction, the Ministry of Darkness and D-Generation X faction, the main focus is still remaining on the Corporation and the Ministry. These two factions are expected to have a massive part in the company through to 1999.
-- Apparently the Insane Clown Posse want to record a song dedicated to Kurrgan and Giant Silva. Of course this will most likely lead to a push for this massive combination, and air time to the ICP in return to promote their album release from last month.
-- WCW has World War 3 this Sunday, the card for the show consists of as follows: - The 60-man World War 3 battle royal - Juventud Guerrera vs Kidman for the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship - Rick Steiner & Judy Bagwell vs Scott Steiner & Buff Bagwell for the WCW World Tag Team Championships - Kevin Nash vs Scott Hall

TAKA Michinoku to retain the WWF Light Heavyweight title - Sable def. Jacqueline to win the WWF Womens title in a Final Encounter match - Owen Hart def. Davey Boy Smith to retain the WWF European title - Ken Shamrock def. Mankind by DQ; Mankind retains the WWF title - D-Generation X def. The Nation to disband the Nation in a 10-Person Survivor Series match - Steve Austin def. Mike Awesome in a Street Fight to keep his job
-- In results from WWF RAW is WAR on 11/16/98: - The Brood def. Rob Van Dam & Sabu to retain the WWF Tag Team titles - Owen Hart def. The Godfather - Jeff Jarrett & Steven Regal def. First off, glad this is back. Always loved this diary. One of my all time favorites, honestly. A good opening promo exchange between Mankind and Vinnie Mac. You perfectly displayed Mankind as the lovable underdog who is not one to back down from a fight. Should be an interesting main event for the title tonight. A good match between The Brood and RVD & Sabu. A good finish that protects the RVD/Sabu duo while also protecting Edge and Christian. A good win for Owen, proving why he's such a good European champion. I do hope you push him soon, he was always underrated at the time. I wonder if Davey Boy will win the title from him. A good squash for Jarrett and Regal, they make an interesting pairing. Debra's strip tease was interesting. A good promo from DX, showing they are the definitive babyfaces in this stable war. Interesting to have The Ministry of Darkness interrupt them. Viscera taking out Chyna? That was a devastating attack and it makes me want to see Chyna take out Viscera when she comes back. Dissension between Vince and Shawn? I see HBK rejoining DX during this stable war, in all honesty. A good win for Goldust, the storyline with Terri is interesting. Justin Credible making his debut? Interesting. By the way you described Goldust as female at the end of the segment. Sable is at her peak of popularity here, a good win for her. A dominant win for Mike Awesome over the JOB Squad. Triple H versus Ken Shamrock on HeAT will be interesting, should be a good exciting contest. Finally, a good main event hardcore match between Mankind and Bossman. The right man went over here. The Rock joining the Corporation? Good call. STONE COLD! STONE COLD! A good ending of RAW. You have a lot of interesting storylines going on with the impending stable wars between The Corporation, The Ministry of Darkness, and DX. Excited to see where this goes. Good luck!
