As a couple others have mentioned, we're bound to forget because of the excitement, and it's too bad really (but understandable), we got two excellent matches last night as well. Cena/Punk was great, and I honestly felt like it was some of Cena's best in ring work in a long time. Bryan/Miz was excellent as well.
Two really stellar matches, not something you usually see on Raw.

Well, just watched raw, and I only have one thing to say. That was ing awesome. I seriously marked like a mother er when the rock came out, and man, its one of, if not the best thing I've seen on raw. Him dissing the hell out of cena was brilliant but at the same time, I'm not sure it was good idea in the long term. Rock's promo was awesome, but at the same time, it made me sad as I realised nothing wwe can do right now can ever realistically top anything I grew up watching.

Too bad that Miz/Danielson was overshadowed by Rock's return. That was seriously one of the best matches of the year so far. Punk/Cena was great too, Punk getting the W was very important...since Cena is going to most likely win the Chamber, at least giving Punk the rub of 3-0 over Cena won't hurt his credibility when Cena wrecks him in the chamber.

Raw was a lot better than I had expected it to be last night. I thought we would get lots of stupid Valentine's day crap. But we just got one segment that was actually pretty funny. The only things that I did not like were Sheamus losing and looking really weak to Orton. And the fact Daniel Bryan carries a match with the Miz, but Miz hits one move and wins. Other than that I enjoyed it. And I am really looking forward to the Rock hosting Mania now. Was not big on a host for it, but now I am. The ending was awesome, loved the Cena bashing.

I purposely stayed off the boards for a week so I wouldn't be spoiled on the 'Mania host announcement and I was SO disappointed. I was hoping it would be good, but instead it's the Rock. I was expecting some celebrity like Lady Gaga or something and when the Rock's music hit, what a friggin' letdown! I'm not a fan of the Rock, never have been, never will be. Not saying I wanted it to be Lady Gaga, it was just a thought. Now I don't know who the WWE could've brought in that would've been as big as the Rock, I don't think anyone. I understand the size of this "return" and the proposal of a Rock/Cena match, it'll be this generation's Hogan/Rock match so it'll be friggin' huge and I will look forward to it, but I'll honestly be rooting for Cena. I would have MUCH rather had some one like Mick Foley as the WrestleMania host. If he had come out, I would've marked the hell out. You were let down by The Rock?! You would have took LADY ING GAGA over The Rock?! What the ?

Yeah your right but hey it could be part of a storyline or maybe it was just used as a swerve..anyways i hope he sticks here in the WWE for a year in a half and let's see where it goes. but if he will just be back for one night for wrestlemania then i hope it will be one of the most memorable wrestlemanias

I never said that I would've taken Lady Gaga over The Rock. I would've been equally disappointed had it been Lady Gaga. While a majority of the WWE Universe was marking out for The Rock, I had a completely opposite reaction. Oh and that Jersey Shore sh*t you posted just made this whole thing worse.

Random note, Natalya vs. Eve from Raw last week was pretty damn good. I must say it's the best Diva's match I've seen in quite a few months.

Wow I'm actually surprised your not a fan of the Rock. If you don't mind me asking, why don't you like him? When he was around back in the day, I never could get next to him, he just never did it for me. To me, The Rock was just eh. Those same feelings carry over today but added to that is how he snubbed wrestling when he made it in Hollywood. Now I in no way blame The Rock for leaving wrestling to make movies, who could? If I had been in his shoes, I'd be hard-pressed to do the same exact thing. But when I heard how he "represented" himself at the 2008 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, that solidified my opinion of The Rock. I read that he was there as a "movie star" and not a "wrestler" and that he kind of snubbed people in the back and stayed to himself. Now maybe he felt the need to do that so his movie star status wouldn't be tarnished. If that's so, then he shouldn't have been there at all and he shouldn't be here now. Maybe the stuff I read was not true, but I don't know. I have to think that there is some truth to the matter because of an edited part of Ric Flair's speech where he stated that (paraphrasing) "John Cena would never leave (wrestling) for Hollywood." If The Rock is back truly for the fans and not the money and if he appreciates and respects the fact that wrestling put him where he is today, then I can forgive him. When ever he leaves WWE again to go back to Hollywood, I hope he doesn't shun the fact that he was a wrestler. Before this comeback, he distanced himself from wrestling and he wanted to be recognized as Dwayne Johnson and not The Rock. Now that's fine, if he wanted to be recognized as an actor and not a wrestler, that's fine. But why come to the HOF and act the way he did? Why come at all? Why come back now? On WWE.com he is recognized as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and he's recognized that way on his t-shirt too. I'm guessing that's a way to show that he's an actor and a wrestler, so that's better than totally disregarding "The Rock" moniker. But, if The Rock truly has had a change of heart that won't change when he leaves wrestling again, I'll forgive him. But his character will still be eh for me.
