Does anyone think wwe should start producing there old PPV's and old wcw PPV's, i mean, i"d by them.
What are your thoughts?

Yeah, I think it would be a great idea for sure. Just as long as everything original remains in tact from the VHS versions. I'm talking about commentary, logos and even theme music. I do NOT want to see anything blurred out or hear anything dubbed over. I want everything to be the same as I remember it.

I HATE when WWE dubs over the theme music. That really bugs me because if you are an older fan like me and remember the original theme music a certain wrestler used and hear some generic dubbed over theme replacing it, it just isn't the same. it just doesn't have that same feeling anymore. Some of the theme music was key to certain wrestlers back then.

Especially old-school WCW guys. I mean, can you imagine if they dubbed over Disco Inferno's theme with some generic theme?? Tell me that wouldn't bug you..Seriously...

In some cases, the theme music was just as important as the wrestlers themselves. They went hand-in-hand.

^^^ There's no way that WWE would be able to keep everything in tact for certain PPV's. They've since lost the rights to use many of the songs they used back then. Not to mention if they don't blur the WWF logo then the World Wildlife Foundation will crapbricks.

i'd love to see some official WCW DVDs. full PPVs and full seasons of Nitro. but ONLY if they are uncut and as originally aired. if they're gonna cut bits out such as benoit and anti-wwf references, or change music, etc. then there is absolutely no point.

I would love to see it, but don't know how much it would cost them...


I've been saying for sometime now that they should create a made to order dvd service like Warner Brothers, Shout! Factory, and Nickelodeon. I don't know much about costs, but it seems to do well.

That way they would only spend money if given money and Fans would have the option to purchase many dvds. The fact that edits have to be made (for music and the like) shouldn't matter as they've already done that to most broadcasts for the 24/ channel.

Agree with what has been said here.. If they can somehow release the original versions, then awesome! I can't stand the blurring, dubbing and editing!

i dont get the wwe dvds releases for that i only get the original ppv airing or i hunt down the old warner bros...vhs tapes for the full original shows...same goes for the wee ppvs...i hate the blurring and editing...

I converted all my old VHS WM's to DVD to avoid the blurring/editing etc but in the UK Silvervision release 'Tagged Classics' without any of the above so I've been adding Royal Rumbles, Summerslams and Survivor Series' to my collection.

But yeah I'd buy them if they were released as originally broadcast

I'm a huge WCW fan and I'd buy them in a shot, don't think it's gonna be happening anytime soon. They need to do them in the UK Tagged Classics form with two PPV's on one.

I go out of my way to either find the original ppvs on vhs or get the warner bros versions on vhs and convert them to dvd for myself...i get wwe classics on demand and hate how they imo butcher the events

God i wish WWE Would Make All The PPV's That WCW Had and Put Them On DVD but while im not gonna say that its not gonna happen i just dont think its likely
