Unless there was an episode I missed I dont recall any build up to Perfect. The closest thing that came was before the 92 Royal Rumble where they kept ribbing Perfect that he couldnt be in the rumble or compete for the title if Flair won cause Heenan had it in his contract.

Stone Cold turning face to help team WWF on the RAW before Invasion, only to turn heel again at Invasion lol. Sure I guess you could say it was built up for him to turn face but still when it happened I remember marking out.
