Yeah, he got off steroids so he looks thinner in the 2nd pic. The same thing has happened with others most noticeably imo - Randy Orton. Look at him in 2006/2007 and then compare it to 2009/2010. His face is much thinner due to him not being on steroids anymore. Good point Sitch. Even look back to 2004 when he won the title. Here is another great comparison  VS.  Still HUGE but has lost noticeable size. He use to have some b*tch tits when he was in WWE from the roids. |

Hogan admitted in a court of law (93-94, whenever McMahon was in legal heat) to taking steroids for years. Change was bound to happen but for it to seem so drastic...its just weird. I always look at that pic that you posted and compare it to his early WCW run and just shake my head. As someone also mentioned, he remained smaller in build until he became that supper heel "Hollywood Hogan" in 98. If you look at a pic of him in 98, you'll see that he was right back to being built like a tank. I always wondered if he went back to taking roids around that time or not. I can't recall him ever admitting that. But, the fact is he has maintained a decent build since so who knows. in a interview hulk did many years later he said that the roids caused alot of water retention which gave him the swollen look... he said he wasnt aware that when quitting the juice your suppose to ween yourself off slowly while ramping up your traing so that its a gradual shift...while he was still training he simply stopped the juice all together and thus the drastic change...he also had mentioned that it took a few years of dubling his regular training to get as he put it "My Body to look about right"... i notice the saem thing with big john studd who was always big but if ya look at him during his first run in wwf then is return shirt lived run he seems much more swollen in his 1989 run then in his ealier time in the company...could just be me however. |
