I dont know to me your roster looks kinda weak Shifty. There has been so much talk lately about creativity in booking yet in your roster you have- Chris Jericho, Ratedwwe is using him as is Tirva. C.M Punk, Mikey is using him. Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle are both being used by DJ. With all the guys available to you I would of figured to see something more original, I mean I would love to see what you could do with a few guys that no one is using at the moment. I mean in my fed I use guys that I havent seen on here in a long time if ever, Nick Bockwinkel, Jerry Blackwell, Col. DeBeers, The Fabulous Ones and so on. Shifty has Knox, who looks to be getting a gimmick overhaul. Killings, as well as Swagger, Lethal and Hurricane listed. I rarely see anyone use any of those guys. How can anyone criticize Shifty's usage of Jericho and say he's being booked the same way in every fed, when Shifty hasn't even posted up the first show yet. Maybe Shifty's version of Jericho wears a mask and hates women, or maybe he's a jobber, hell Maybe Shifty has dreamed up some sort of storyline that will see Jericho form an alliance with Kurt Angle and make them into a tag team? I think critique here is a bit premature. He's only announced who he's going to use at the moment. Without any context, it's a bit hard to say he's being uncreative when you haven't seen .1% of his actual product with said characters. Be assured that Corazon de Leon is not making a comeback! |

I'd have to agree. Besides, Most people are limited to who they can use, unless they start to customize the figures and give them their own names. Then of course, some viewers might not like that they aren't using known guys. I think more is said about a persons ability to take a regular everyday character and make it into something different then to make the person a mirror image of the real thing. Granted, sometimes you have to stay in character to a degree, but it's the little slants, and changes that the individual fedder adds to the character that really sets it apart. You do realize that YOU dj, made basically the same claims john just did in june's newest Mid South thread right? About how the same TWA guys seem to pop up in different feds? So it only applies to the TWA guys and not your friends? Okay... And to comment on Shifty's roster, I don't have a problem with you using a few of the same wrestlers as anyone else...just like I don't care if the TWA has some overlapping wrestlers. It's what you do with them that matters. We shall see... Wars So shouldnt someone wait until they see what Shifty does before they bash it? That's the whole point. DJ has seen Harley Race and the Bulldogs and Road Warriors etc in other feds. It can easily get confusing. One reason in the current filming of my fed, Im steering clear of a lot of WWF stuff you do because I dont want it to be confusing. Nobody has seen Shifty use Jericho. Nobody can compare his Jericho to Tirva's Jericho. Calling DJ to save buddies isnt necessary. He has a point. Nobody knows what Shifty is going to do. Once he starts his fed if he's booked just like Jericho in wTw then so be it but dont just beat down someone because you dont like them. |

That's why I copied and pasted odb's comment about "maybe he'll be a mask wearing, etc." We don't know-- plus I never said I had a problem with his roster, in the first place. Maybe he'll be a totally different character than we've seen of Jericho in the other feds...or maybe not. I don't care. But dj does care, he doesn't like to see that, as he's stated. And john and june must agree...

P.S. I didn't see any bashing. All we have to go on is a list of wrestlers. That's all we have to discuss. They we discussing it civilly, not bashing.

DAMN, who gives a crap if Jericho is in my fed or anybody elses to that matter and Shifty has decided to use him? Why does it matter? Of course people are gonna pick stars they like for their own fed, it would be pretty pointless picking stars that haven't been used in other feds which so happens to be stars they don't like. Wouldn't you agree?

We shall see... Wars Whoah there buddy, are you accusing me of showing favoritism? because that's not what I was doing. Furthermore why are you being so defensive? You're supposed to be unbiased as the mod are you not? My point was that you see the same characters doing the same thing in some of TWA. In TWA it seems that the characters are basically the same and have the same personality etc. The Rockers are the Rockers, THE LOD is the LOD..there's no variation in the character. It has nothing to do with using the same figure, it's how they are presented. Did you notice when you quoted me I said... "Sometimes, I feel like I'm watching the same fed,lol becasue the presentations/characters are so similar." And sure, that's how it is in TWA, but at times it gets monotonous for me. If in shiftys's fed he has Chris jericho as this smart ass world champion, then tirva has the same thing, and I have the same thing, and someone else has the same thing, then yea it's gonna get monotonous. I find the problem with replying to TWA is that some of you have a hard time taking constructive criticism. It's not an attack, just like Bigeveiljohns wasn't...it was an observation in hope that maybe people would vary things up. June and johns show almost feel like I'm watching the same thing sometimes because the style is so similar and use of characters is so similar. It's just an observation, not a dig. Kurt angle in my fed is totatly different from Kurt Angle in wTw. Brain Kendrick in my fed is totally different from Brian Kendrick in brm's fed. How Mikey uses CM punk is totally differnt then how he is used in WWEF. And perhaps that's because we dont belong to one group, but even within that group there has to be a distinction. So again, it had nothing to do with the figure you use, it's how it's being portrayed. Which is why i backed odb on this because regardless as to whether shifty uses jericho, punk, angle, etc...The question is...how HE PRESENTS HIM...what is he doing with his character that makes him stand out? Which consequently makes HIS FED stand out? Understand now? |
