Fun Fact: I watched this at the wing place, which was surprisingly COMPLETELY packed and loud as hell, which made for an awesome environment. Almost like being there live. Anyways, I was in the bathroom washing my hands with some Mexican dude waiting behind me, when Del Rio's music hit, which you could hear perfectly in the restrooms, and we both marked out, I turned did his little taunt, he announced his name with Ricardo Rodriguez and we both ran out to watch. Fast forward like 20 mins later to Del Rio winning, I was leaving, spotted his table, went up to his table to shake his hand and the dude and his buddies were totally drunk and had no ing clue who I was even after I reminded him. LOL

Just timed the Rumble at 1:14:40. Longest Rumble in history, and by a pretty good margin.

Demolition's record reign has lasted longer than Del Rio has been a wrestler or will be a wrestler. Their record will still stand and Del Rio will be LONG forgotten after he's come and gone. But, you already knew that. Del Rio wink for ya. Records don't entertain me. Wrestling does and Del Rio is damn good at it. I don't care if they entertain you or not. To have a record title reign in wrestling is something special. Like 'Taker's unbeaten WrestleMania streak. I mean, for anyone to even tie it, it will take what, 18 years?? Yeah, I consider that something EXTREMELY special. That record will most likely not be beaten in my lifetime. Demolition's first reign as tag-team champions lasted an amazing 478 days, which is still the longest in WWE history. It started on March 27, 1988 at WrestleMania IV when they defeated Strike Force and ended July 29th, 1989 when they lost them to The Brain Busters. Their record reign has yet to be beaten and it has lasted for over 21 years. That's pretty ing remarkable. It'll take a team over 21 years just to tie it. Trash Demolition all you want. They are in an elite class in professional wrestling and you know it. Alberto Del Rio will be distant memory and Demolition's record reign will still be there. ;D

I forgot to post my appreciation for Punk vs Bryan vs Regal. As well as Morrison's mark out moment and the three amigos by Chavo. When he hit the final one and did Eddie's taunt and pointed up, I literally got chills.
Also...If Del Rio makes it to Mania...It'd be pretty cool for him to incorporate his mask into it.

Thing is though Alberto Del Rio will forever be known as the first (and possibly only) winner of a 40 man Royal Rumble.

Demolition's record reign has lasted longer than Del Rio has been a wrestler or will be a wrestler. Demolition reign = 698 days Alberto Del Rio professional wrestling debut = September 29, 2000 Uhhhh.... I'm talking about span-wise. How long has their record lasted in WWE?? I believe over 21 years... Just like Honky Tonk's reign. His reign as champion lasted 1 year, 2 months and 27 days. But span-wise since it hasn't been tied or beaten, has lasted over 22 years and STILL stands today. That's insane!!

I actually loved Demolition but let's be real. Did they even have any great defenses in their first reign? The most I remember are a couple of good defenses against the Brain Busters. Length means nothing. What happens within that title reign is what really matters and Demolition hardly did anything.

Thing is though Alberto Del Rio will forever be known as the first (and possibly only) winner of a 40 man Royal Rumble. Yeah and he only did about 20 minutes of work, if that. Big ing deal. It looked like he hardly broke a sweat. I'm sure next year will be a 40-man Rumble too. I see no reason why it wouldn't be. They've clearly got enough Superstars for it, so why not? I think they were just trying it out tonight, just to see how a 40-man Rumble would do and I think it came off great. Wasn't too long and wasn't too short. It was just right. I think they'll do the same thing again next year.

^ Just because they didn't do much in the Rumble doesn't mean they won't do anything from here on out. This is their big WWE return and WrestleMania is coming up. I kinda feel sorry for the younger talent now that I think about it. Booker T and Diesel are back man. Diesel and Booker T just bumped some of the newer talent out of the way. Guaranteed Diesel and Booker T will be at WrestleMania. What matches will they be involved in?? Who can say. I have no idea. But with Del Rio having the #1 spot, I'm sure both Booker T and Diesel will be gunning for him. His odds aren't lookin' too good...

I dare you to try and tell that to The Undertaker who has busted his ass for the last 18 years, when his LENGTHY unbeaten WrestleMania streak began. It'll take someone 18 years just to ing tie 'Taker's LENGTHY unbeaten streak!! Come on man.... I guess the records set in Olympics don't matter either too, right?? Since according to you "length means nothing"...Whatever dude. You are hilarious.

Yeah, those moments were pretty sweet, I was really sad Bran didn't eliminate Regal though, just because. I was hoping he would eliminate more people in general. Wouldn't it be neat if someone like him broke Kane's single night record. If another monster did it that wouldn't be as impressive, but Bryan doing it just because he is better would be sweet. maybe next year there won't be the groups taking time and it will happen.

Come on guys can't we just agree to disagree on this one? Everyone got a little something tonight, Booker/Nash returns, Del Rio won, Cena/Orton didn't win. Can't we all just focus on the positive? No need to bicker.

No need to bicker. Sounds good to me. I got what I wanted. Returns from Diesel and Booker T. So, I'm happy. It's the winner of the Rumble was a let-down, that's all. And I know he won't be main-eventing WrestleMania anytime soon, so don't hold your breath. Actually, let me re-think that one. All you Del Rio fans who want him to main event WrestleMania, PLEASE hold your breath. Lol.

So I'm guessing Cena and Punks feud is over. Unless WWE are doing smart booking for the EC PPV by making everybody in the match hate each other.

First PPV I have paid to watch since Summerslam and it was money well spent really enjoyed the show from start to finnish even the divas match was good and I most of the time can not stand the divas. Diesel being back was awesome really cool of the crowd to pop for him like that.

I must say, I LOVED this Rumble, it was brilliant. The crowd was amazing, one of the best we've had since the Attitude Era, they were really into it which was great and helped so much in the overall feeling of the event.
Edge/Dolph was excellent, we got a lot of Lets go Ziggler chants, Miz/Orton FINALLY put on a good match. The Rumble was AMAZING, I loved every second of it, when it was down to the final four, for me it went two ways, either the two guys I don't want most to win it (Cena/Orton) or the two guys I paid to see hopefully win (Barrett/Del Rio), I was shaking in hope that it wasn't either Cena or Orton, and I truly went crazy when Del Rio won.
The Rumble match itself, IMO one of the best since 2004, Booker's amazing return, Diesel's amazing return, John Morrison's amazing spot, I thought he was out, some Spider-Man poop right there. I was very happy with Regal, Matt Striker put him over big time saying "In my opinion, the greatest superstar to never win a World Title" which is so true on so many levels. Chavo getting a nice last moment before he hangs up the boots, Daniel Bryan putting on a great performance, Chris Masters getting decent time in the match, Husky Harris looked impressive, the only thing I'm really dissapointed in is the time that guys like Booker, Diesel & Jack Swagger. Well not necessarily the time, in Swagger's case, his overall performance wasn't too great. Interesting pairing of Sheamus/McIntyre, a possible look into things to come with these two guys?
Also I think I'm the only who mentioned this, but CM Punk gave Miz a hand attacking Punk, and Miz gave Punk a hand eliminating Cena from the Rumble, also a possible look into things to come.
All in all, this Rumble was WELL worth the money, the World Title matches didn't dissapoint & the Rumble match it's self is one for the history books.

For example, Bryan has only been US Champion since September and he has already had better title defenses than Demolition had during their first reign.
