Well unfortunately I knew he would win the rumble, But I see the Miz was able to retain the championship so it appears it will be Edge Vs. Del Rio and I don't have to see any of the feud, the build up, or the match at mania. Because I do not watch Smack down and frankly I believe it was a poor choice on WWE's part to give him a rumble victory this soon in his career. I believe and no one can change my mind about this, the real winner of tonight's event should of been Kane. The man should have won the rumble and went on to wrestle mania for his retirement match in the main event.

Nothing says main eventing a wrestlemania like getting eliminated by Mason Ryan in under a minute.

[glow=red,2,300]Hoping and praying that when Del Rio headlines WrestleMania[/glow] Hope in one hand and crap in the other and see what gets filled first. You'll have better luck that way. Del Rio wink for ya [glow=red,2,300]Face it dude, the product nowadays isn't what it used to be. The fact that you honestly believe a 45 year old Booker T or a 51 year old Kevin Nash could take that spot from a GREAT heel like Del Rio is absolutely absurd[/glow]. Doesn't matter how old they are, they brought them back, didn't they?? I guarantee you, their Rumble appearance was only the beginning. They've got big plans for Booker and Diesel. The WWE knows they can still draw and are still extremely over with the crowd. If that wasn't evident tonight, then I don't know what is. The fact that you actually believe Del Rio will be main eventing WrestleMania this early in his career is absurd. He'll be lucky to be on the upper mid-card of WrestleMania. He won't be main-eventing, that much I do know. He's just not ready and the fact that most of you think he is, is crazy.

Never expected ADR to win, but I like it. Love the parkour by Morrison and the pops for Booker and Diesel. Santino at the end was funny but it made the rumble seem like a joke, but it was pretty much a joke when Hornswoggle showed up and outlasted a bunch of others.

Diesel's pop > Booker's pop The crowd was chanting "DIESEL!" for three minutes after he was announced. ...Nope. I'll rewatch the match to see who is right, but I'm pretty sure Diesel got the biggest cheers of the night. The fans were LOUD for Diesel, chanting him by name.

The fact that you actually believe Del Rio will be main eventing WrestleMania this early in his career is absurd. He'll be lucky to be on the upper mid-card of WrestleMania. wait... are you saying this about a guy who won the royal rumble tonight? a guy who's officially guaranteed a main event championship match at wrestlemania? far be it from me to jump into an argument (seems like that's all people do around here these days -- except for jimmy, LOVE YOU JIMMY), but claiming del rio's going to get his 'mania match sideswiped for diesel or booker t. is pretty absurd. Until the matches are official for WrestleMania, I'd say anything is possible until then. I wouldn't rule anything out, no matter how absurd it may sound. Hey man, the WWE created The Gobbledy Gooker. If that wasn't absurd, then I don't know what is. No matter how absurd an idea may sound, never rule it out. Especially in pro wrestling. It has a history of absurd things. David Arquette winning the WCW World title...the Oklahoma character in WCW, the Billy/Chuck gay wedding storyline, the Katie Vick storyline, Mae Young giving birth to a hand, the Vince McMahon "blown-up/death" storyline...And on and on and on....

I just have the throw my two cents in and say hats off to WWE. It was an incredible PPV. It's what WWE PPVs should be. Even though everyone posted all the Booker T. and Nash things here...The not spoiler WWE board, I was still happy seeing them in the WWE ring again. Gotta give a shout out to Zack Ryder's tights too...They were different from what he's worn in the past and I liked it. And I can't wait to see how this Del Rio thing unfolds. I hope he doesn't lose the title shot and gets it at Mania. Well done WWE.

Looks like I will have to watch then, how about that?? Then will my opinion be valid?? I mean, if all I have to do is watch, then it's a done deal. I'll watch for sure, now that Diesel and Booker T are around.

Because they are clearly the best tag team to EVER be in the WWE/F. Yeah, keep trashing Demolition. It's funny though. You say they are a horrible team and yet, their record reign as tag team champions still stands to this day. Yeah, keep trashing Alberto Del Rio. It's funny, though because Del Rio aka Dos Caras, Jr. is better in the ring than Demolition were or ever will be.

But, you already knew that. Del Rio wink for ya.

As someone who has not watched the WWE on a regular basis in forever I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's Rumble match. Didn't watch any of the other matches, but being that the Rumble is one of the most fun matches to watch I had to check it out. Very entertaining match for me from the opening segment with Nexus and the Corre.. to Cena and Hornswoggle, Booker and Diesel's returns, Del Rio's win and even Santino's little moment at the end. I think giving Del Rio the win is a good move. I think a new guy getting a huge push is better than seeing Cena or Orton guys who don't need the win get it. I've never seen Del Rio wrestle a full match, but I like his gimmick a lot.. the guy has big star feel to him and could be a great heel World Champion.
As for whether Book will be around full time I think he's gonna be an announcer for the most part.. and Diesel, I could see making a few appearances but I don't expect him to have a huge role on TV at least as a wrestler.
