Yes, but mine at least makes some sense, because he was called out for pretending to be Jamaican on Raw by HHH.

i'm a bret hart mark to the end. and i don't believe hbk's whole 'finding god' garbage, he's still the loser he always was. So you're bitter? Shawn has obviously changed. Why would he go to such lengths to convince everyone he's found God? How would he benefit from that? And it's not like Bret is so innocent either. lol yea, i'm bitter over a wrestler's backstage innuendos...uh no. it's just if i think any wrestler is a douche and deserves a stiff potato, michaels is definitely my pick. and the god thing was a gimmick, a way to clean up his legacy so to speak. i find it hilarious how many ate it up so readily. or at least, that's what i think. you can think whatever you'd like to. nice way to try to illegitimate my choice.

Well, damn! Apparently, it's still real to him! All the ministries he does, all the Christian charities he does things for, being a youth pastor at his church. All that, to protect his character, which he technically lost because he's retired?! THAT'S commitment.

Some things, yes. But the information about him being a youth pastor is on his church's website. And the charities put out press releases about celebrities who have donated their time for events.

i'm not trying to spout my opinion as fact - you can think whatever you wish. i still believe he used his christianity as a gimmick to make people overlook the obvious errors of his previous behavior. i, personally, still think he is the piece of crap he was during the 90s - he simply didn't have to behave as he did then because he was 'made' in his 02 return (or whenever it was). i believe he'd do it all again. even pissing in those three girls mouths'... ...

lol, I feel the tension. Very good discussion guys, i like it. Though, i find it funny people respond saying Jeff Hardy, Nash, Hall (etc). Either these guys are now retired or in TNA, this was for active "talent" at WWE. I have updated the polls...
Its a CLOSE contest!

I wasn't trying to illegitimate your choice, I was questioning your reason. Your theory on Michaels' new found Christianity seems more like a conspiracy theory than a well-thought out argument.

hey, if that's what you think. personally i think questioning someone's behaviour after they've caused an extreme amount of damage with their destructive personalities is perfectly fitting. the man destroyed careers, and arguably lives. sorry if i don't buy the whole 'found god' routine. i highly doubt i'm the only one.

I understand your point K5. As anyone, including a thieving rapist in jail can turn to christianity and say "i have seen the light, i am a CHANGED man!"
See what i did? I just took it to an EXTREME extent...

Ya ever think maybe its because of his descrutive behaviour that he changed? He realized how ed up the stuff he was doing was, and found God? Not starting anything, just presenting my opinion.

hey, maybe. i don't know the guy personally. i just have a hard time believing it. it was very public knowledge how shawn michaels behaved in the 90s with the opening of information on the internet. suddenly everyone could read the ins and outs of the business, and what happened at times behind the scenes. it speaks for itself. i don't need to delve into it. but i believe what i do. it was his 'way out', his way to retain 'being the bigger man' rather than ever just sitting out and admitting he's a piece of crapfor what he'd done and god isn't going to change that.

I'm not saying we should forget about what a dick he was in the '90s or anything. But it seems you are letting that cloud the fact he's a changed man. Instead of basing your opinion on what you're seeing, you're basing it off what you've seen. If HBK is the same HBK we saw during his reigns as WWF Champion, why is he so reluctant to do classic style D-X stuff? Why hasn't he tried to get rid of people who he doesn't like? Why has he only had 1 world title reign? (And whoever's smiting me, you've hurt my feelings, I'm going to stop posting now and go up to my room and cry ) Oh by the way, I was being sarcastic....

because he's playing the part? he seemed to do an excellent job of it if people are now so readily defensive of his claims.
at this point you're just defending shawn michaels. i feel the way i do about him, i also feel it's justified. others have stated that they see my point as well. what are you trying to prove?
we DON'T KNOW if he's a changed man. you believe he is for your own reasons, i believe he isn't for mine.

But you haven't even got any reasons. You're basing off what he did before, not what he's doing now. His career is over, it doesn't matter whether people hate him or not anymore. So why does he continue to go to church? Why is he keeping up the "charade"? Your reasoning is just too far out there. It's a conspiracy theory basically.
