Watching wwe.com's List This about unusual weapons made me thing of this.
The story has been that Macho Man Randy Savage was originally booked to win the IC Title from HTM at SNME, but Honky refused, which then ultimately led to Macho winning the WWF Title at Mania 4 (instead of Ted Dibiase.) What do you think would have been of Macho's career had he won the IC Title that night? Does he still win the title at Mania? Is there even a title tourney that year? Do the Mega Powers still form, leading to Macho's next heel turn and the main event at Mania 5?

Well back in the day the IC title was a major thing to win and a lot of future champions at the time had held it at one point, and if Randy Savage had won it that SNME he maybe would have went on to win the WWF title at some point later on his career, maybe not at WM4 it may have depended on how over he was at the time when he was IC Champ

Honky had a cheek to decline dropping the IC belt to Savage, who had already held it and was probably No.2 face in the company at that time. I read somewhere that Vince was that P.O'd with Steamboat asking for time off, that Vince said Steamboat will drop the IC belt to the next guy he see's, just happend to be Honky who was walking past. It wasn't as if HTM was in the middle of a push, he just got lucky.
If Savage did win the IC belt that night, I think WM4 ME would have been Dibiase (with Andre in corner) vs Hogan instead of a tournament. Intrestingly, WWF tried to bring in Flair for Summerslam '88, with a guarenteed ME spot. wonder where he would have fitted in to all this?

Ultimate Warrior had the IC title when he won the World title. Savage could've done the same.

It could of gone the same way as it did for Warrior with Savage then if he did win the IC title off of Honky Tonk Man then won the World title after. |

Like said earlier Savage could have been like Warrior and dropped the IC Title and kept the World title
