I wasn't a fan of the Living Legend as a Commentator in WCW. To me, he always came off so arrogant and douchey, and I was beyond thrilled when Bobby Heenan would save the Color Commentary in Nitro's 2nd and 3rd hours.
Taking his raw analysis (No MNW pun intended), he was fine, but I just never could connect with him, whether it be because of his attitude, condescending tone or just his ability to draw me into the Match.
What's your take on Larry Zbyszko as a WCW Color man?

He bitched too much. But in 97-98 he was over like a mother  er. I hated his commentary, but his feud with Scott Hall was very entertaining... |

I think it was his attempt at giving the announce position some personality or a gimmick.

It was amusing watching Schiavone introduce us to Nitro while he went to the crowd for cheap pops.

I didnt mind it because as stated Larry was "over like rover"during that time
and his feud with Hall was pretty good.Has Larry done a shoot yet?I would like to see that

I never liked him as a wrestler or as an announcer. same the team of Heenan/Schiavone/Tenay was my favorite commentator lineup of all time. Heenan for the jokes and to support the heel. Tenay for the technical info and trivia. And Schiavone to lead with the show info and upcoming matches and the whats been happening in WCW lately stuff. |

Yeah he was brutal at times, I never understood why he was so over, and yes I would love when Heenan would come to the rescue.

I couldn't stand him on commentary and could never understand why he was so over with WCW crowds. He totally crapped on the cruiserweights by saying they were taking unnecessary risks, never mind the fact they were having the most entertaining matches on Nitro. As bad as he was though, there were several other commentators in WCW that were just as bad or worse, such as Schiavone, Dusty, and Lee Marshall.

he literally couldn't talk. got tripped up all the time, and just didn't have an actual understanding of the storylines.
