Hey all, well since Hasbromaniac did a few series about the WWF Hasbro figures. I figured why not about all the bootleg figures I have. I will post new set in a new series every week. With a review on them and any of you want to add to the story or info on them.. be my guess. I hope STOMWIJF will not care about me posting these series of bootlegs and even helps me out. I have about 7 or 10 different bootleg sets of figures. so here we go. Bootleg Wrestling figures or Knockoff Figures can be mostly found at your local $$ Dollar Stores. (Dollar Gen, Dollar Tree, some times biglots, etc...) For a dollar or some times 2 for a $1. The most famous ones are the the he-man bodies or the ECW Bootlegs. Most Bootlegs never really have names for there wrestlers. Most of the time they have about 6 wrestlers in the set. However, the ECW Bootlegs had 15. Most of the time they never have a ring. On there cards they have most of the time WWE or some times other wrestling such as WCW or ECW wrestlers or logos on them. The Companys never put there names on the sets due to lawsuits and copyrights. They make a set. Sell it to a Dollar Store and move on to something else. Never will you see a Series #2 in these sets. Very Rare will that happen. They get the molds for the figures and make tons of figures and move on. Some times the colors of the figure like there cloths/tigths. Are painted in different colors. So you could get a Johnny Cena Figure in blue pants. Then see him again in red pants. This is not just done with Wrestling. They can have anything such as: Buffy the vampire slayer, hello kitty, GI Joe, Transformers, He-Man, etc... but the biggest one is Power Rangers. series #1 Series named: Wrestling World Wrestling Champ Ht: 6 inches tall Number of Figures in set: 6 Packaging: Single Packed Figures Accessories: They each came with a title belt Points of articulation: Sholders, waist, & head Stlye of bodies & Heads: All hard plastic Price: $1.00 Found: a indoor flea market called Gibraltar Trade Center Year Found: 2003 Bert Hart- just a copy of a Jakks BCA Bret Hart head or a Justoys Bret head. Ultra Warrior- Well we all know this is the Ultimate Warrior. But they used a Warrior BCA head as you can see. Owen Purple- is Owen Hart. I love his name. Well his head is from the very 1st Owen Hart BCA figure. Sorry I couldn't get a BCA Owen head for this. John Flair- this is just a Ric Flair knock the Golden Boy- I believe this could be Lugar or Link from Zedla? Scott Nash- Well this is Scott Hall. They used a Justoys Razor Ramon Head. I love the purple hair. well that is all. I hoped you all enjoyed these figures. I will be back next Tuesday with a new set and series thanks... well ok just for kicks here is a weapon that goes for the next set. some kind of a punching bag man. I believe this is a knock off of Slam man. later all, please leave some replys on this.. thanks "Now that was PERFECT!"Mr. Perfect 1990 wrestling superstars

CWFPro: nice idea. Been toying with it myself; heck I used to have a site just about bootleg wrestling figures (it was called Bulk Bogan and the wrestling bootleg band , since I hadn't updated in over a year tripod kicked me out, lol. Anyway, I have to disagree on the producers being nameless: usually that's true, but there's the notorious Mannix (Hasbro style) and the legit (!) european toymaker Simba (using Hasbro moulds) - among others (europlay comes to mind with it's mini-"Hasbros").

thanks all.. yeah I will keep on posting them each week.. next week I will do the ecw bootlegs..
Ruby Fusion: I was saying most of the time they are unnamed wrestlers with an unnamed company. not all the time but most of the time.
to get your hands on some of these.. go to ALL your dollar stores near you. If they don't have them. Ask them to order them. I did that with the ecw bootlegs. This for-and guy got me two boxes with 40 figures. He sold them to me for only $30 he told me he didn't want them sitting on the shelfs not selling. He was very cool As a matter of fact that was a $0.99 store as it was called. They have never got anymore of these in stock since 2002.

I loved bootleg figures as a kid. They were awesome. As a kid, I could have honestly cared less about head scans, or detail, etc. These did the job just fine, and were so inexpensive.

Cool I've been desperately trying to find that DDP bootleg that came in SS packaging for a while now. Me too. It's a perfect TTL Diamond Dallas Page, and I would pay big money for it.
