December Event

What do you want to see for the annual Pic-Fed event that takes place in December? So many options are there, some good (Collaboration, all-be it hard to do, Everyone together in an effort to bury the hatchet or Fed vs. Fed, like Title Matches are done) and some bad (Separate shows, which results in fewer Matches, which lessens the event).

Note that this isn't to go over peoples heads, but rather to see what people want to happen at the show usually called "Figimania".

well, I've stated before that we do Figamania here, it's been a tradition. What if we made it so it was mainstream vs territory guys and Mainsteam guys had to vote for the best territory match and territory guys had to vote for the best mainstream match. that way you have Territory vs Mainstream but also competition amongst the groups.

I vote we do nothing. Everyone took their ball and went home when they didnt get their way. So who cares anymore. I wont be participating in it either way. Ive got other things that are more important and its hard enough for me to find time to post a regular show.

That idea, at least the idea of Territories vs. Mainstream has been brought up, and I guess doing that would say that it's a competition to see who's better between the two styles, which isn't what the Territories idea was about.

I don't get what "Their way" was. No-one really demanded anything from the Board, as the split was because a Thread got locked, not because someone said "I want ____!"

Also, I get that it's what you think, but doing nothing would only hurt, not help. The idea is to increase activity, and doing nothing at a historically huge time for the Board would only be another blow to the Board.

Posting one show that 4 or 5 people will show up for isnt going to increase the board activity. Some will post their show and then turn around and leave again. You want board activity then get those that left to come back. They threw a fit cause they dont have a place to post "new show coming" or "filming a match" to up their post count and banter so they bailed.

Whats with this little girl crap territory vs mainstream guys??? Why start that BS up all over again? What are we a gang or something? Why dont you guys just do something on picfed world? G2 was right everyone left in a tissy why come back now. If you want to have an event fine thats sounds great but why does it have to these guys vs these guys? I think that will only start poop up and some people just want the attention. We can all participate and post matches I dont see why its always territory vs mainstream guys. Jeez just when things were quiet. Have a event, everyone that wants to participate can and let everyone have fun doing it. These 'tournament' on here are silly anyways all it does is start everyone fighting again.

I dont see what the problem is anyway? None of the picfed world guys post here anyways anymore and from what I saw on that board the day I was there a few months ago was constant chatter on how those guys wanted a territory vs mainstream(pic fed) guys showdown? Its friggin silly! If you guys want to have a figamania or whatever invite everyone and let everyone choose who has the best match. There is no us vs them anymore if there ever was. I dont even know if half of the guys on that board even have picfeds do they? If you want to see more action on the board, oh I dont know maybe POST SOME SHOWS like you guys did before. No one is going to ask you guys to come back, no one cares. Come back if you want I would love to see more action here myself but it wasnt my fault the thread got locked. If you actually read the entire thread, and trust me I did, it was one guy in particular that constantly keeps the fighting going and it sure wasnt slappy. This guy doesnt even have a picfed that I know about so if you guys want to come back do it, dont start a turf war out of nothing because quite frankly I dont care and I dont think anyone ion the board cares either. Start a fed up, dont say 'I have no figs, no ring, no money but I am realy imaganitive and I can make a great fed" and then take all year long and produce nothing. I took me a ton of time and money and a lot of hard work to start up my fed and I love it, dont really care who doesnt and thats the way its gonna stay. Come back if you want or dont. I agree with G2 that whats the point when they will only leave again once the thing is over. Right, the Territories has NEVER been about an "us vs. them" mindset, or "oldschool is better," etc. It's just a group of guys who prefer to pic-fed in the style of classic feds. Period. We've never excluded anyone who wanted to join. It's not a competition, it's about trying to put on our own personal best shows.

Actually, by leaving and forming their own board where they can have a discussion thread(s), they WERE saying they "wanted a discussion thread." It might be splitting hairs here, but that is what they wanted. Jack said "no," so they chose to leave.

I'm a bit confused here. First off, I've never heard the idea floated that we would "do nothing" (other than by G2, who stated he isn't participating right now anyway). In fact, I had an offer to begin the planning phase of FigaMania from a certain member of both boards, only to then have him back out due to catching heat from the other board (He's offered help twice and backed out twice--for the same reason). This led me to believe the other board truly wanted to go their separate way, which is their right to do so, and I fully support.

Now if those who are still here at WFigs want a December event, it can obviously be done. We'll post a signup and those who want to participate can do so. It is strange to see so many ideas floated that hinge on "the territories vs the others at Figamania" type mentality (I've been PMed with them too). I'm not sure why the others feel it's necessary, but it's out there. I was under the belief that we all shared a liking for pic-fedding, not "this board vs. that board" wizzing matches.

There is no this board vs that board IMO. No one is going over to that board saying lets have a contest they are coming here doing that. I for one am all for a happy united picfed board but thats never going to happen. We should move on for sure. I think if members are getting heat for coming on this board from other members is absurd and childish to say the least. I dont think I want to participate in an event tainted from the start anyway, all its going to cause is aggravation having people fight over who has the best fed and blah blah blah. I saw that on the customizing board and it was ridiculous. I signed up on WFIGS, this is where I post and I really dont care what happens over there. Why someone from over there came on here to talk about an event happening here is weird. Sure they have every right to come on here and actually should just come back over and post their shows, but why worry whats happening on here? Do the show over there right? Problem solved. Anyone should be able to post on BOTH sites if they want and anyone pressuring others to not do that is out and out wrong. Grow up and come back and forget about the stupid chat thread being deleted or who's Mod and who deserves this or that, just make your show and have fun. This whole thing has gotten WEIRD!!! Again I saw that too when I was 'over' there and it was always one guy stirring the pot, then a few posts later turning it around and saying everyone should stop fighting. It was never the T.W.A guys vs .. well I dont really know who but I guess some people who didnt join the other board were viewed as enemies I guess? Shouldn't judge by age by the way, because I could judge just as harshly based on that. But I don't because really, I do try to be as good a member as possible, but it doesn't work out for me most of the time.

There was no feud originally, I just wanted people to join the new board, to chat about shiz. The problem emerged over other issues that were nothing to do with the board, and it so happens that issues emerged between members of WF, and the other site.
