If the original card for WM 8 had taken place, I would think Hogan would beat Flair for the title and Savage would beat Roberts in their Loser Leaves the WWF Match. Since Hogan was wanting to leave to do movies, Hogan would probably drop the title some time soon to Flair, and maybe we would have seen the Savage/Flair feud (which I thought was great) at SummerSlam, or maybe even Flair/Warrior.
The more interesting match to me would have been Sid vs Undertaker. The thought would be that Taker would be face and Sid heel, though it is possible that if Hogan/Flair occured, there would be no need to turn Sid heel or Taker face. Either way, I think it would have been at least a 50% chance that Sid went over in the match. Had that happened, the legendary "streak" of Taker would have been over before it even started.

yknow I have thought about this many many times and I cant picture SS92.
I assume we would have got Bulldog vs Bret because of the venue but I cant picture Hogans role at SS92-Savage or Warriors either

Flair would have went over Hogan as Hogan leaves Savage would go over Roberts as Roberts leaves.
Sid would beat Undertaker (thus ending the streak before it starts really) and would go on to feud with the returning Warrior. Undertaker would probably start a feud with another mid carder.

Wouldn't have been surprised if some sort of double turn in the Taker/Sid match, as Taker was scheduled to turn face around this time, just as he did.

it's funny how triple threat matches were relatively unheard of back then. imagine flair vs. savage vs. hogan, that would've settled it all.

You have to remember also, though, that at the time of WM8 the original plan was not to have SS92 at Wembley, but back in the states. That being said, I think we would have gotten Hart and Michaels in the first ppv ladder match. Now....think of how that would have changed the whole Michaels/Razor feud and the match at Wrestlemania X.

i've always had some bitterness towards the entire hart/michaels feud based on the matches we missed because of it.

Summerslam 1992 was originally set for Washington DC I believe.

Just with using the current roster at the time and who was at that show I put together the following card for Wrestlemania VIII, I think it would've been a much more fun show.
WWF Title Match Ric Flair (c) vs. Hulk Hogan Loser leaves town: Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts Sid Justice vs. The Undertaker IC Title Match: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. Bret "The Hitman" Hart (Leaving this, I really liked this match) Papa Shango vs. Tatanka (would probably be awful but interesting to see as they were both new comers and being built up at the time) Owen Hart vs. Shawn Michaels WWF Tag Title Match: Money Inc (c) vs. Natural Disasters (left this one too the tag division was pretty weak at this time and these were the two hottest/best teams) British Bulldog vs. The Berzerker (originally scheduled but yanked to time constraints) 6 Man Tag Match: The Big Bossman and The Bushwhackers vs. The Mountie and The Nasty Boys Mr. Perfect vs. El Matador

I was there live, and consider this the best Wrestlemania of all time, so it's hard to scrap or rebook anything. I would have rebooked the show as the following, with the bolds winning:
WWF title - Ric Flair (c) vs. Hulk Hogan - Hogan loses the title back to Flair on a SNME. Gives Flair more exposure and Hogan the big win at Mania Retirement Match: Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Jake Roberts - Jake heads to WCW Sid Justice vs. Undertaker - Sid is still a face, Taker is still a heel. Taker turns face on the SNME title switch IC Title: Roddy Piper (c) vs. Bret Hart Tatanka vs. The Mountie The Bushwhacks & Jamison vs. The Beverly Brothers & The Genius - tag match was a dark match Papa Shango vs. Owen Hart Shawn Michaels vs. El Matador Big Boss Man, Sgt. Slaughter, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Virgil, & British Bulldog vs. Brian Knobbs, Jerry Sags, Repo Man, Skinner, and Berzerker WWF Tag Team Titles Match: Money Inc (c) vs. Natural Disasters
