Cobra, wasnt saying your the only one who has your view..just saying that the rest of the world dosent share it anymore then it shares mine... jakks will not make a mattel type figure because thats not what there base wants... in fairness when i bought steamboat was it a good likeness? sure...what ruined it for me is how tiny he looked next to my jakks guys... and the overly articulated body... but again different wants from different collectors... i made use of the head and extras that came with him... honestly the terry frunk has grown on me but again the body ruins it for me personally... gonna be another one for the head and the extras... on topic, the more pics i see of the legends series the more i am liking them and glad i made my pre order in early august... on a side not PJ made a good point that i agree with..jakks does have a habit of picking the wrong parts such as the aj legg situation i was reading about... it is messed up when like PJ said they already have the right parts to choose from... anywho hoping to get a e-mail or something from wfigs about my order... im hoping they chnge there mind and put more push behind there legends line... even if they have to do 3 current guys to make it cost effective as long as there is always 3 legends peace all

Not only are they still using those crappy boots for guys who should have tall kickers. Look at the Series 2 Styles he still has the d@mn long tights molded legs painted flesh color like the proto had. They didn't even bother to fix that so his legs have wrinkles in them. There's no excuse for that when they have the correct parts in their inventory of parts. Are you sure about that? It sure looks to me like there's a crease between his tights and the flesh color of his leg. Looks like the same exact parts as Hernandez. Here's the proto and the MOC:

I seriously have NO IDEA why Jakks refuses to use the correct tall kicker mold 99% of the time. It's mind boggling.

Hey, what can I say. It's hard not to bash Jakks or take cheap shots at them when they make it so easy. Seriously, a re-release of Jarrett, red detail on Devon's shirt but not Ray's, reusing the DA Cena shorts mold for Sabin when he doesn't even wear jean shorts, and those ing snow boots that I have never seen a single wrestler ever wear once. I mean, this is just ridiculous already. I would love to collect Jakks figures, but I like figures that are accurate and highly detailed. Not figures that are sloppy and half assed. It doesn't matter anyway, I guarantee that Jakks will end up killing their TNA/Wrestling lines and the war will be over. Seriously I could go up and down Mattel's legends and take shots like the fact Mattel gives them plastic tassels where as Jakks actaully gave them cloth! Or the fact that the Dusty Rhodes scan looks like he should be entering the Special Olypmics. Hell, most of Mattel's Legends sculpts cannot hold a candle to Jakks' CS sculpts. But I don't. Honestly, just don't even come over into this board. Why do you need to? We know you go down to Mattel. So stay on Mattel's board and keep the peace. Well put.

They could get away with it with the WWE lines for a few reasons: 1. It was all there was in terms of wrestling figures, I don't even count the TNA Toybiz line, it was the only option and both kids and collectors bought them. Which leads me to reason 2. Not as many kids watch TNA, so they don't know who most of these guys are, so there will be more collectors buying the TNA figures than kids. Now kids don't care about detail, scale, and accuracy as much as collectors, so Jakks ing that up, collectors won't want the figures either. Jakks really needs to get their sh*t together and start improving and they really need to step up their game, otherwise they're going to end up killing these lines.

Remember that old native american indian in those 80s commercials that would shed a tear whenever someone polluted the planet? That native american indian is now looking at Jakks Pacific and shedding a tear.
Here's a tissue my native american indian friend.

A boot mold, being used for a large amount of wrestlers in TNA, is correct for a WWE wrestler. They are also correct for Chris Masters too, since we are apparently pointing out facts that have nothing to do with the problem at hand.

Jakks really needs to get their sh*t together and start improving and they really need to step up their game, otherwise they're going to end up killing these lines. and again that view is only shared by those who prefer mattel already...jakks has proven before that the RA Build in the classic line can be great..and im not sure what the hate is on the legends line... sting looks like sting hulk looks like hulk and so on... im just very thankful that in whatever way the legends line is going from here that they are sticking with the RA build and thankfully jakks wont be doing the weird bodys found in mattels line... to some that would be a improvement to me it would be god awful... not to turn this in to another jakks vs mattel but here is a proveable example ... jakks makes dusty and kamala on the same exact bodies just switching out the lower legs and obviously the head... people piss and moan about jakks... mattel puts dusty and kamala on the same exact body again just switching the lower legs and obviously the head and some push the mattel makes more accurate figures blah blah... or the excuses like dusty and kamala were close to the same size... jakks only need to improve on making a decision and sticking with it... the legends line is looking good so far and despite mattels efforts there legends line only thrills me for the few heads they could get right for a change and some of the extras that come with them... in the end for me the bodys kill the entire mattel line and makes me appreciate the RA buikd i prefer much more. but again just a example and just my point of view. this first offering of legends is a good start... hopefully jakks will put the muscle behind the line... tna may have a hard time nose to nose with wwe but guys like hulk hogan nose to nose with guys like cm punk is a no contest amongst older fans... again just my opinion here. on topic i kind of regret not getting a few nash's for vinnie vegas, oz and early diesel customs... but thats gonna be my next order after the first one comes in peace ;D

I love the Mattel bodies a lot more than the Jakks bodies, that's true. But when I say stuff like Jakks getting their sh*t together, I'm talking about when they do stupid assinine sh*t like putting full details on Devon's shirt and not Ray's, not to mention Ray is huge in all the wrong ways, also using those ing snowboots instead of the right kick pad mold, then there's Amazing Red who is as tall as Kevin Nash, oh and putting the designs on the painted over kickpads of Chris Sabin but not on Alex Shelly's Kickpads, sh*t like that. It's not like this is anything new, they've been doing this sh*t for years and years, and I'm sick of it. I see more people complain about Jakks figures than Mattel figures. Mattel figures always get a lot of praise, but I've seen tons of complaints about Jakks, so that must tell you something. As for the LOTR, yeah the figures look good, but they still look kind of boring to me. But that's not the main issue for me. My main issue with this line is the actual lineups, they suck so bad. When I think of Legends of the Ring, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles are certainly not the first ones that come to mind. The LOTR lineups so far are just incredibly boring and the only one I like is the Sting. I also hate the LOTR packaging, it looks so cheap and like there was no effort put into it. The old packaging for Jakks CS line was beautiful and looked amazing, but this, they might as well put the figures on a garbage can lid and present them like that. I used to come to the Jakks board in hopes of them improving, but honestly, I don't see that happening now. I really don't see Jakks TNA and LOTR lines lasting too much longer. And believe it or not, I'm not happy about it, I wanted Jakks to start stepping up their game and improving especially with a juggernaut like Mattel being their competition. I thought, well, they didn't have much competition before so they could get away with halfassing their figures, and with a superior toy company taking over the figure line of a superior wrestling company, I thought for sure Jakks would wake up and try to make better figures. But of course they didn't, not only have they not improved at all, but they're worse. If Jakks really put all their effort into these lines they could do really well, and they'd probably help TNA out a lot too. But of course Jakks is Jakks and they will never change, unfortunately.

uh,ok...sorry but mattel gets alot of complaints to man..using recycled parts hell west a crooked and the big one the weird bodies... basically your Opinion is mattel is better..so there for nothing jakks wise will matter as you clearly prefer mattel...thus the whole mattel gets alot of praise while jakks gets alot of complaints... if i had all kinds of free time and prefered to complain at length about a figure line i am not gonna like anyway i could fire off a long list on mattel that others who dont care for them would likely agree with begining of course with the bodies... as i have said before feel free to your opinion but honestly im confused as to why if you hate jakks so much why are you spending time you could have spent enjoying your mattel figures, complaining about jakks... i guess the old adage rings true..in this life some complain and others dont... jakks isnt going to revamp there entire line to make a mattel like product peticularly when its fair to say that only half of the wrestling community has jumped in that direction... and the complaints about jakks in general do seem like more when we have the same 6 or 7 people reposting and reposting and reposting... im glad you not doing itas much as you were but while you have a right to complain for whatever reason like the other 5 or 6 people who keep coming in here, the rest of us have a right not to care... yes some of the jakks parts issue are annoying but dosent seem to bother you about the annoying mattel parts..the cena chest again on a number of other figures... heck triple h and batista are the exact same just with different heads and boots...lol then there kamala and dusty roads and the ever laughable lets use batistas boots on dolph ziggler...lol using all that proof i could go into mattel s board because "maybe id like to collect mattel" and repost those examples over and over again with the tag line "High Quality my ass"... but if i did that id just be using these figures to be misrable and toxic and they would cease to be fun anymore... heck the first look at the jakks sting and it seems like almost everyone went blah blah about something beinbg wrong with him... i may tinker with him but not because jakks didnt do a great job with him.. but because i like to tinker... im not pointing out you inpeticular or anyone else but if these figures upset some people that badly then dont bother collecting em anymore... when something thats suppose to be fun is not fun anymore why keep doing it? some people no matter what just find something to complain about i guess... thats the last ill say on the matter as the one thing worse then someone who complains all the time is someone who reads and replies to it...just fules the gaga... just my opinion and thats that... now on to tpic so this post isnt a total waste of space... some folks may consider this set kind of bland but honestly i like em...and i miss the days of wrestling when people didnt need to spit water out of there mouths, hold multiple titles that dont mean anything anymore or for that matter have goofy spinner belts... jeff jarret i consider the sleeper suprise of the set as his likeness captures the era... the rest i like alot also... with hogan, sting and now nash being my favorites... the way i see it wrestling in all can be broken in two halfs... todays era the goofy gimmick is suppose to draw attention to the wrestler like the all american american...wow what a name... in the other era which i consider to have really kicked in in the early 80s and ended after the addittude era it was the wrestler who drew attention to the gimmick. the legends set with hogan, jarret, nash, angle and sting represent wrestlers who drew attention to there gimmick. on a final note that jarret will be perfect teaming with my jerry lawler like in the good old days...lol peace

Mattel doesn't reuse parts nearly as much as Jakks, not anywhere near as much as Jakks, and when they do it's appropriate and not as noticeable. And did you read everything I said, I complain because I'm worried Jakks is gonna kill these lines. They need to make at least some kind of improvement. Otherwise, mark my words, the TNA and LOTR lines will be gone in less than a year. Have they even listed the lineups for series 3 or 4 for the LOTR lines yet? As far as I know, they haven't. I could be wrong, but if I'm not then that is certainly not a good sign. The LOTR line will be dead before the end of the year, I guarantee it. And when I'm talking about people complaining or praising. I mean whenever there's a thread like this in the Mattel boards for new Mattel protos or whatever, I see nothing but praise for the figures, but when it's Jakks, I see way more complaints. Like this thread for instance, the majority of the people on the first page alone have nothing but negative things to say about these figures. For some reason, I'm the only one that's not allowed to complain or say anything. But that's what I'm talking about, I see more praise for Mattel and more complaints for Jakks, and I promise you that that is a completely unbiased observation.

The fact is, people who claim to 'prefer' the RA style, only feel this way because their 100's of other RA figures are in that style. There's no debate to which style looks more like the human anatomy, absolutely none and for that reason Mattel have objectively the better base bodies as far as realism. Now for RA collectors, I'm sure getting this RI Legends style line is great and in that sense Jakks has pleased that portion of their potential market, but I personally think there's a MUCH stronger market for more realistic, detailed stuff. As Cobra said, this is especially the case now the wrestling figure market has been introduced to Mattel.
As for parts reuse, Mattel is also guilty of this. Heck, you only have to look at their DC Universe Classics line to see how stingy they are on making new molds sometimes. But the fact is, when they have a great base body to start with and never fail to include all the logos/details, I have no problem in buying something with a recycled body. Jakks, as proven here have not only missed half of the logos, but have also purposefully chosen the WRONG parts when it exists in their inventory.
