In all fairness, Abyss was no. 1 on the list, so shouldn't HE been awarded the title?

In all fairness, Abyss was no. 1 on the list, so shouldn't HE been awarded the title? No, why would you rewarded a guy that attempted to end the career of your World Champion? It would make no sense to do that. |

It would make no sense to do that. WWE gave the title to a guy who injured their (Smackdown's) main star. But then again that's WWE and that was for real. Number one contender should either A. be given the title or B. at least be in the final match of a tournament to find a new champion. |

It would make no sense to do that. I thought Abyss got his title shot at Whole F'N Show.....and when he lost, he was no longer #1. Now considering it wouldnt make sense for him to fall out of the top 4....yes, I am with you. But not #1. I would have moved Abyss to #2. 1. Jeff Hardy 2. Abyss 3. Mr. Anderson 4. Kurt Angle. That way they could still keep the Angle run alive with the way they had it set. Angle/Hardy.....4 vs. 1 and 3 vs 2......with Angle and Anderson or Angle/Abyss advancing. |

Nope, he also got his title shot at Victory Road... lost and was still #1. Just like ANderson/Hardy remind the same though they lost. It was really flawed.

I was really hoping for Angle/Pope.
But oh well, angle will be the new champ and I'm cool with that.

angle has faced pope hardy and anderson already in the last couple months so put Rob Van Dam or Aybss or even Rhino it would nice to see him get one last shot
