Hi
Anybody where the Warrior was inbetween the above dates? He didn't go to WCW, and shouldn't have thought he went to Japan since his in ring work never improved after WM12. Just something on my mind that didn't know the answer to.

He worked for a small indy promotion in 1995 called AWF or something. Besides that he really did nothing and because of that people ethier A- thought he was the Renegade in WCW or B- Thought he had died.
He only came back to the WWF in '96 for a paycheck, to hype up his Warrior University wrestling school, his Warrior comic book, and thought he was going to be WWF Champion again (but that ties into the paycheck part).

WCW did have a good idea with the Renegade to try to get fans to think they signed Warrior since everybody else from WWF was showing up there.

Cheers guys, mad to think he went from WWE Title match at Summerslam 1992, to doing nothing for 4 years.

he and Davey Boy Smith were sacked for ordering/using HGH in late 92.it torpedoed the Ultimate Madness team WWE had going.
Bret Hart vs The Warrior was supposed to headline RR93.....pity really.

He also starred in a movie called Firepower with Gary Daniels and Chad McQueen. I believe this was 92/93 time.

Would it of worked? Warrior always seemed so fast paced and Bret was a more, slow methodical wrestler.

Yeah Bret vs Warrior is a funny one, totally different styles. Sometimes it doesn't always work, anyone remember Undertaker vs Shamrock at Backlash 1999? That didn't go to well, Taker would be far better suited now to facing Shamrock as he has more of an MMA style but didn't then.
Bret Hart could have had a huge 1993 then if all went to plan:
vs Warrior at the Rumble vs Yoko at WM9 vs Hogan at KOTR/Summerslam 1993
Instead he had Razor, Yoko, Bam Bam & Lawler, big difference.

'99 Shamrock vs. Taker now...or '06-'08 Taker...would be very interesting to watch. Undertaker just sucked in the ring in 1999 really.

Brets original PPV lineup was rumored to be the following
RR03-Ultimate Warrior WM9-Randy Savage(who was intended to win the RR) Hulk Hogan at an event TBD
this was Vinnies plan to bring in the new "guy"strongly......however as things often do change in Vince land this was scrapped.

Bloody hell, that would have been a dismantling of the old guard if he went over them 3 in a calender year. Wonder why Vince changed Savage to Yoko for WM9? Savage was stuck only commentary at Mania. Hmm?

Does anybody know if WCW were interested in signing him during those years away from WWF or weren't they that bothered.

His asking price was likely way too high for WCW in that he probably wanted as much or more than Hogan was getting. It is probably why they went with the Renegade persona.

As much as I would have loved to see Bret vs Warrior, i think it would not have turned out to be a good match-up. Like someone said, Bret was slower, more scientific, while Warrior was fast-paced and power moves.
