Hi everyone, I thought I would start a whole new topic with the images I have. I'll also begin by explaining that I do not own these pieces. A while back I was put in touch with one of the former senior designers for Hasbro. He worked on the WWF line for many years and also several other major lines (i.e. Gi Joe). Some of the artwork you have seen in other topics was done by him. He sent me the pictures below but also mentioned that he has a two full sets of WWF figures in two huge clear sealed cases. These are locked cases and only 3 of the sets are in existance. This was the one thing I didn't get a picture of! I used to be a massive collector but now only really share an interest in some of the "mysteries" and seeing rare and unusual figures from the Hasbro line. The images are a bit large but it means you can see more of the details on this great pieces. Enjoy! 4 2up hand painted master head sculpts - The 2ups were mainly used for following the paint schemes for the figures when going to production1 Shawn Micahels 2up hand painted master head and 1 Akeem wax casting headHand painted 2up - WarlordHand painted 2up - Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake #2Hand painted 1up - Bam Bam Bigelow

great work mrfuji, good to see you on the boards. It's always special when someone can bring a bit more info to unravel the big hasbro picture.
It still shows that there are people out there who can add info to the board, if only there was some way to let them know.

I really wanted to do an interview but I don't think he has time. I tried to get a number of answers regarding the full story on the R&B Valentine, HBK body change, Kamala Moon etc but to no avail...
I've got a couple of other contacts so will give them a go and let you all know what I find.

Incredible stuff Fuji, like you say, what ever info you can obtain will be incredible. Those images are epic, would love to see more, but even just hearing stories makes me happy.
Welcome to the boards mate!

The cases in question are below - Not the best pictures however basically what they consist of is a full set of Hasbro figures. There were apparently only 3 of these produced. I have been chatting to the guy aswell - seems very cool however as Mr Fuji says very busy! I'm working on getting info.

I dont really get it, whats the purpose of the cases? did hasbro give these cases to its employees or something, hence the 1 of 3 claim?
Also, theres obviously a loose mailaway hogan in there, im just trying to understand what im looking at.. lol
Cheers

those are pretty cool! Perhaps they were display cases to advertise the figures at events?

I'd love to have a 2Up or even a 3Up Hasbro. I think it'd make a great display piece.

The guys answer re the cases :
they are in plexiglass cases that there were three sets made of. First set went to the engineer who worked on the line. Second set went to me for designing the line. Third set Hasbro kept

Those are really cool...look just like the cases that were on display at WM 10. I remember watching the tape at that point just to pause when they showed the Hasbro cases. I'm guessing one of the 3 sets was used for that event. At the time they were only up to the red series though. I'd love to see pics of that display if anyone has any. Too bad we weren't all running around with digital cameras yet back then

I remember at Wrestlemania X when they showed soem fan access type thing they had one of these cases. If I remember right it was also in the WWF magazine at the time as well. Getting a interview with this guy would be pretty awesome.

Wow never thought I would see those cases again!
hbkjason above is correct - Hasbro used them to tour around and promote the product. They were used at one of the WM fan fests (I think it was 10) and they were also used at Toy Fair.
An old WWE mag has photos from the WM fan fest and I think it was Action Figure News had photos from the Toy Fair.
