Yeah, I like Vader in WCW a lot better than his WWF run. WWF didn't seem to know what to do with him.

By far, the best monster heel of all time. I still watch his match with Stan Hansen from time to time whenever I've got a raging hard-on for some good ol' fashioned violence. I'm surprised no one posted a youtube vid of Vader's eye pop-out. That was one of the most shocking moments in wrestling history. |

I thought Vader was awesome! He was a great heel in WCW. I wish WWE hadn't totally wasted him. He definitely should have won the belt at some point. He would have made a much better champion than Sid.

Vader was much more athletic than Sid and though Vader's interviews were often short and to-the-point, at least he didn't trip over his own words like Sid. |

I'm in the "Best Big Man Ever" camp. Vader was awesome to watch, and I hated when Hogan "Hoganed" him by kicking out of the powerbomb. Vader just became another fat guy for the rest of his WCW run. It's a shame WWF didn't do a better job with him after that Rumble debut.

It's a shame WWF didn't do a better job with him after that Rumble debut. Don't even get me started on that crapumental moment. It is a wonder that anyone bought any WCW PPVs at that time. Hogan no-sells Vader's finisher, then Hogan drags Flair around at Uncensored (despite Flair not being in the match) to win the strap match, and the feud culminates via a cage match on the beach with Dennis Rodman almost falling asleep at ringside. Wow, what a feud.  At least an effort was made to get Vader over as a babyface by giving him a 2 on 1 win over Flair and Anderson. He left shortly after that so who knows where that might have led? |

i thought he was good but we'll probably never see him in WWE again especially after how overweight (even for him) he was when he did that one night deal w/ Goldust & Coach a couple years back

The main reason for my hate of Shawn Michaels. Vader could have been the biggest monster champion in WWF history. But the cocaine-kid ruined that......

Vader's reign probably would have been a short one. Vince was trying to set up a Warrior- Vader feud that would have likely ended with Warrior carrying the strap again. Then Hellwig decided to act like himself again we all know the rest of the story. |

Warrior as Champ in 96?that would not have been good IMO.
I doubt Vince would have went that way but I suppose we will never know

I doubt Vince would have went that way but I suppose we will never know I don't know how solid the plans were but Warrior was being positioned for a late '96/early '97 run. Remember how he buried Hunter and Lawler on PPV that year? That was part of the plan of which I read. Vince wanted to reacquaint fans with Warrior's dominance and push him back to the top. It may well have been that Vince wanted to promote Warrior (again) as the guy who beat Hulk Hogan, who was holding the WCW title at the time. I agree this would have sucked, but I think those were legit rumors. |
