I usually love the fig insider vids, but this video lacked a ton with the ring. Good comedy, but a ring of this caliber deserves of at least some proper assembly. The canvas is all wrinkled and sloppily put together. The canvas is supposed to be stretched out and tight so it doesn't look crappy, just sayin'.

Sooooo glad Jakks made some decent rings. You'd think the ring would be a step forwards, not backwards.

WTF?! Seriously it looks EXACTLY like a Jakks' RSR with the exception of the steps and turnbuckles. Are the turnbuckles simply plastic and not cloth? Also, did Mattel just take Jakks' design and do the same damn thing? The ring base looks exactly the same as Jakks' ring base. The skirt/mat looks to go on the same way as Jakks' RSR skirt/mat.
The steps do look better, but that is it. I want some comparison shots of this ring next to Jakks' RSR.

umm how much variation are you looking for in a wrestling ring? 12 turnbuckles, 4 sides of ring skirts, 4 posts, 3 ropes, 1 canvas mat, 1 set of stairs
If Mattel did outside floor mats, guard rails, or even the promised alternative ring skirts it would have been nice - but they didn't so yeah, you're going to end up with a wrestling ring like every other wrestling ring.
