Awesome to see a Macho figure but the name Defining Moments just sounds stupid for a figure set. It's not a moment we're given, it's just an attire. I could picture legend 2-packs being called Defining Moments. An example would be Hogan and Andre. That's a defining moment...not a single figure. That name does no justice for the figures. And hopefully the price isn't outrageous if it's an Elite Entrance Great. That would be the biggest turn off. it would've been gret to see this figure in a two-pack with the ultimate warrior from wrestlemania 7 but I'm just glad to finally see that the macho man is being made and this hopefully is only the first of many more to come.

I'm kinda confused here...how is it that two of the most requested CS figures that Jakks pretty much deemed impossible to do - Ricky Steamboat and Macho Man - have already signed contracts with Mattel less than a year after they acquired the WWE license? Did the WWE really have that bad of a relationship with Jakks that they purposely didn't allow them to sign these guys or did Jakks simply just not care to try hard enough to sign them like they claimed? I have no idea on any level, but I seriously doubt Jakks 'never cared' to sign Savage, Steamboat, or Owen Hart. Regardless, this is pretty sick! Let me rephrase that - I don't mean that they didn't care to sign them. But did they really pursue signing all those guys as hard as they made us believe? Or did they simply go through the process the way they did with every other CS signing and when they declined Jakks walked away and gave up? I don't think it's a money issue. I mean, they were able to sign Hogan, Warrior and Bret without any problems and I gotta believe Jakks emptied the bank and were more than willing to pay those guys. I just think Jakks thought there wasn't a pressing need to get Macho Man, Steamboat and these other guys signed because Hogan's addition pretty much "made" the CS line as big as it was. Here's something to wonder...if Hulk Hogan isn't with TNA and he had a contract with Mattel, would Macho Man have signed? This has nothing to do with how much he hates Hogan, I just think Savage is in a spot here where it's not like he can say "Well, you guys gave Hogan more than me."

I really miss the Macho Man. Let this begin the countdown to Wrestlemania 27's Hall of Fame!! I would die if Macho Man was there. Especially if I make it down there as planned.

That Macho Man figure is awesome. I hope we get several versions of him as I would like one in the short orange trunks as well.

Although all we know of the series is the name. we've seen the Macho figure and the arm of the HBK figure. Unless they said something at the panel and I missed it, who's to say it won't be two packs?

Jakks failed. Mattel got Savage, Steamboat, Von Erichs. All they need is Owen, Hogan (not likely) and Warrior and I will crapmy pants.

Take it for what its worth but there are a few people here that can back up my story (The Assassin being one), When I was in contact with Mr. Fuji for Jakks trying to get the contract to him I sent numerous info links to Jakks and asked multiple questions. Every question about Steamboat came back the same. At the time when Jakks wanted to sign Ricky and Bonnie were going though a divorce and the finances of the contract couldnt be settled until the divorce was. Once the divorce was finalized, Jakks didnt have enough time to release Steamboat. As for Savage I brought this up to the rep who at the time was in charge of signing all talent for the Classic line who said in return and I quote "They wont approve it, they get mad when we ask so we dont even ask anymore"

Mattel spared no expense with that satellite feed from the North Pole. Love it! +1 Glad to see that Macho Man is excited as much as we are.

This has been a long day coming for many figure collectors. No better company to produce and do justice to all of machos amazingly elaborate attires.
On another note, im looking forward to the Defining Moments line, sounds great.

Here's a possibility. Jakks has been doing their own shitty Legends line and they have Hogan, Sting and Flair. And since Mattel can't use those names at this time, they have to deliver on something. So WWE (or Vince) gave them the go ahead and pursue Savage. But IMO Jakks was lazy. Simple as that. You can say all you want about money, but let's be honest here...Jakks was pulling some major money in with the CS line, they had absolutely no reason as to not sign the guy, they just didn't pursue it as strongly as Mattel did. Jakks...epic fail...truly epic fail. It's simply pathetic that Mattel has gotten 2 of the BIGGEST names of all time in less than a year...something you couldn't accomplish in 5 years. Also keep in mind, there were some people who Jakks probably wouldn't have produced if it weren't for some hardcore fans who went out of their way to bust their ass and get Jakks to make them such as HTM, Sherri and Demolition Ax. And maybe I'm being too hard on Jakks. But then again, maybe I'm not. Sure money MIGHT'VE played a part before, but I think it has to do with profits. Jakks probably felt they couldn't profit as well from signing one major guy so they signed several smaller guys. There was a massive dip in quality after CS14 IMO, and towards the end, there were hardly any signed people. Sure there was Haku and Bossman, but too little too late, besides the Bossman was rushed and I saw many customs that looked better than their final product. But again, I wonder what we could've seen if they used the money to sign useless people like Tank Abbott, Val Venis and Spike Dudley and used that money towards signing Savage. Oh well, too late now Jakks. You failed. You failed big time. I haven't bought a single action figure since CS14. I made a vow that once Tank Abbott was released, I was done with the CS line and most likely, collecting wrestling figures in general. This Macho Man figure might make me reconsider that last part, even though I don't care for Mattel's quality TOO much. Still "Name" > "Quality" And major props to Mattel for choosing WM7 attire. It's not the attire I want to see him in, but it's smart on their end. Most people will buy this one because it's the first Savage figure produced for WWE in almost 20 years. However, most people will want him in his WMIII attire, but that can easily wait, especially since you have both Savage and Steamboat signed (again, massive fail Jakks~). Here's my problem with getting this figure; it'll trigger me to get more. Mattel has so far been very good with not watering down this line like Jakks did with all their Attitude guys. And while the style isn't my cup of tea, I'm sure I can learn to love it. The problem is, will we see Hulk Hogan? Will we see Ric Flair? Not likely, at least not at this time. And until the time comes when I can have one perfect line, I think I might have to pass. But props to you Mattel, thank you for bringing me a little closer to WWE which I've been waiting for 14 years. First a DVD, now an action figure...come on 2011 WWE HOF!!
