At least with this, we got the side of the tights and the top attire designs. Jakks would have left them plain pink. Everyone here knows it. Or they would have been so microscopic that everyone would have wanted to paint over them or try and sand them off so it didn't look like there was a blemish on the figure's tights. You did do alot of analyzation for this. That is really cool. I'll still be getting it because it is leagues better than what Jakks gave us in.....how many Melina figures? At least 3.

I stoped at Melinas boobs, what were you ranting on about? Anyway I agree that they could of had done a much better job at this, the attire choice should be different if they couldnt make it like it is which I cant see why they couldnt. The designs on the side look totally wrong and the gold should be bigger and brighter too.

Yeah this fig is pretty bad, and doesn't look much like her imo. I don't think it has to do with bad pics this time either.
I really do hope that they make a better Melina in the future, and with a better attire (like the one you said in the brown attire), and most importantly, a better body mold!

Yes it could be better but it's really not all that bad. The only thing I wish they would have done different is her top.

The first rule in designing a toy is to avoid uisng brown ulness you absolutely have to. Did you pick that design simply because it was the most complex for Mattel to do, or because you found it the most appealing. If it was the second i would disagree with you strongly.

I did not know that, I guess it kinda makes sense though... I do agree about the brown attire though, not because itd be hard nor is the most appealing but it fits Melina well and also would make her more of a stand out figure (not saying that Mattel screwed up by not picking it but just saying it would be cool since other divas like kelly kelly will have pink as well)

I think the Melina fig. actually looks pretty good and I think that every figure Mattel has made has its flaws.
So far IMO, all of the first series of figures are the best in likeness. The only issue I have with any of the fist series figures is with the 2pk. Series 1 Beth Phoenix. She's not buff enough, but her likeness is spot on.
Series 2 basic Swagger looks nothing like him.
2pk Series 2 Edge is pathetic. The WM Heritage Edge figure has a way better scan.
2pk Series 4 Tyson Kidd scan is horrible, and DH Smith is way too thin.
2pk Series 4 Christian scan does not look like him at all.
And frankly, I don't think that Elimination Chamber Drew Mcintyre scan is anything to get excited about. The beard is definitely way too dark, and I just don't think it resembles him.
I think that Basic Series 2 Mark Henry is the best figure in every aspect. From his hair all the way down to his boots. They nailed this figure.
Anyways...I'm just giving my opinion. Overall though I think Mattel has done an awesome job with their figures and their Divas surpass the Jakks Divas in every way.

Anyone "creeped out" by this thread is ignorant and obviously sexist. Melina's top is inaccurate and her hair looks terrible and while it might not be a big deal to someone who never had any intention of buying it, its irritating for those who do.
Lets say hypothetically Mattel released a figure of HHH wearing shorts instead of his speedo tights, the cut would be inaccurate and everyone would be pissed about it. Melina's top isn't that big of a deal, but its a legitimate complaint and the OP shouldn't be criticized for pointing out what is wrong with this figure (just because it is a diva and you don't like women) ESPECIALLY when two threads down there is a lengthy discussion about Sheamus' figure being too buff or John Morrison's coat not being luxurious enough.
Its not creepy, its a discussion about a product we're planning on purchasing and if you don't have anything constructive or interesting to add to the conversation (or if you're just trying to vent your frustration with the opposite sex for whatever reason) you shouldn't post anything in here.

I don't think she looks that bad.
I will agree that:
1. The outfit it the wrong colour pink
2. They used the wrong torso
3. Her face aint great
As we have said, Mattel usually put horrible pics up on Facebook. The final figures look better. So I will hold off judgement until I am holding the figure in my hands.

Of course it could have been better but I will still buy it.
I am more upset that they didn't have the Diva's title!

BOMB!!! Thank you!! You put this perfectly I couldn't agree more, I don't post on this forum often because of the uncalled for responses I get from some people for "caring to much" about the divas figures. It's what I like, and I have high hopes for them just like everyone else has high hopes for the male superstars! ;D

I'd be thankful they're even bothering to make a Melina fig to begin with - a complete waste of plastic... just like her, tbh. Also, Melina is a lot skinnier than Mickie and Beth. On the other hand, they'd better not up McCool's fig I don't think she looks that bad. I will agree that: 1. The outfit it the wrong colour pink 2. They used the wrong torso 3. Her face aint greatAs we have said, Mattel usually put horrible pics up on Facebook. The final figures look better. So I will hold off judgement until I am holding the figure in my hands. Melina's face ain't great in real-life - so I don't see the problem.

That's not exactly true, all of Jakks' Melina's had a pretty good amount of detail. The first IE had two fabric accessories, good face paint and a nicely painted top/armbands, RA 29 & the 2nd IE had leopard prints and tights designed (ie also had furry boots) and RA33 had the awesome lucha libre designs. The latter three had pant legs which was wrong, but RA29/33 were intended to have furry boots that were cut due to budget restraints, so its understandable. The 2nd IE is my personal favorite, but Id say all of them are better than Mattel's Melina.

They don't really care that you prefer the diva figures...why would they? 2. A lot of people who focus on female figures are often gay like myself, so saying our love of Diva figures is sexual in any way is beyond rediculous. 3. Ignore them & they go away. I've been here for many, many years & ignoring negative remarks goes a long way to reducing them. 4. Some guys will never get it, they don't want to. So keep explaining yourself if you wish....but it will do you no good. People either get it or they don't. They accept it or they don't. No need to try and alter their opionions as they usually just post them to get a reaction.
