Besides the Sting's gloves, this set is great! I wasn't sure how a female Deluxe would look, but it looks super! I, also hate the way everybody keeps comparing them to Mattel's, I like Mattel, but it irritates me that everyone constantly compares them. Just judge them on how they look, not by how good they are compared to Mattel's.
Christmas couldn't come soon enough after seeing this set.

I don't really like these much...
A removable cloth jacket for Sting (kinda like for the Ultimate Warrior exclusives) would have been great... but to have that dodgy jackety arms is really no good -- it ruins the figure.
Shark Boy, Jay Lethal, and Nash look quite good... but the massive arms really look weird on everyone else other than Hogan and Steiner.
I don't think Matt Morgan's scan looks anything like the guy.
As for Velvet Sky, I really couldn't give two hoots about knockouts/divas.

I might get Velvet but the rest are a definite pass.
I wont encourage Jaks misuse of the small boot any further.Im sure the MMA gloves are just a placeholder on Sting because of the UT arms.
if so I may get him but I am unsure

Who  ing cares? They're wrestling figures. If you don't like them, don't buy them. You (not you in particular) are getting literally nothing accomplished by coming in this thread and bitching. I never understood people who say things like this. The people who are bitching about them probably won't buy them. And you ARE getting something accomplished by coming in this thread and bitching. The point of this board is to discuss wrestling figures. The people who are bitching are doing what this board is made for. If people have complaints about a figure, why shouldn't they be able to express their opinion? |

The point it, it's how people feel about the product. What are people supposed to do that don't like the product but want figures of the wrestling personalities? Start their own toy company and make them themselves? I think to some degree companies have to listen to the positive and the negative...that's called consumer feedback and is economics 101. But this is not a consumer feedback forum per se, it's a discussion forum where people come to discuss good and bad about what they would like to invest their time/money in. Whether it serves a purpose or not, I see nothing wrong with it and have yet to see why it matters to anyone else especially the ones that are happy with their product. Is the negativity gonna keep you from buying the product? Or should i use the cheap cop out that the marks use...if you don't like the board, don't reply to it |

This is why I stopped collecting JAKKs figures in like '07. What they produce is sh*t and we only buy it because we feel like we need to.
I won't be getting back into collecting wrestling figures but if I did I know that TNA wouldn't get a penny of my money. WWE would. And I prefer TNA to WWE.

I hate JAKKS figures and for a long time said the only good think JAKKS has done was the accessories, but even I love that Velvet Proto.
If they could some how include all the TNA belts and a tall ladder she'd be the single greatest figure ever made.

Great Velvet Sky! Jeez these protos are coming out fast! Agreed. It's too bad that the figures aren't coming out this fast. Oh wait a minute, Series One isn't even in stores yet. In that case this series won't even arrive until the holidays or later on next year. Jakks Pacific, get a move on! I hope that they decide to get them in retailers before 7/20. |
