Overall, PPV wasn't terrible, but it could have been much better. MITB matches were good, not many high flying moves in either match though. Cena vs Sheamus dragged on, Nexus interfering is starting to get overplayed in my opinion. They need to do something different, but whatever, it wasn't all that bad. It got the point across. Swagger vs Rey was decent, Kane cashing in was awesome. Overall I'd give the PPV a 2.5/5

Cena took Tarver's armband. Wonder what that was for. Future Endeavours (sp?)?

I lol'd at Cole's Conversation with Striker
"I wanted a Slurpee cup, why did you stop without me to go to 7/11?" "And ladies and gentlemen, what a night we have had so far" "I wanted a cup, why do you get one and I don't?" "Cause you don't deserve one"

Interesting show. Some very high highs, and some very low lows, but that seems to be the case with all WWE product lately.
As soon as the Smackdown Money in the Bank came on first, I had a feeling we were going to see that contract cashed in immediately. Solid match with some interesting spots involving Big Show, stuff that I didn't expect to see.
The end was interesting, I was terrified that McIntyre was going to win despite doing absolutely nothing the entire match, but the only guy I wanted to win less (or as little as McIntyre) took home the briefcase.
Which brings me to my biggest problem with tonight's show. What purpose did giving Kane the Money in the Bank contract serve? First, he gets a push out of nowhere simply because The Undertaker managed to get himself injured on his first night back. Then, he is thrown into one of the most uninteresting storylines WWE has produced this year, and it all culminates with him winning a Championship that he wasn't even pursuing in the first place.
If this whole angle was simply a way to get the belt on Kane, then why wasn't he in the Fatal 4 Way match last month, winning it then? Putting the belt on Mysterio was obviously a waste of time. He served no purpose in the angle and did nothing to further anything. If the belt was going on Kane, one of two things should have happened...
1. Kane should have been in the title match last month, and won the title then (since the match was all about him anyway) 2. Swagger should have retained the title, and lost it to Kane tonight.
Regardless of which, it doesn't change the fact that Kane becoming World Champion essentially destroys any interest I have in Smackdown. The guy just isn't interesting anymore. He hasn't been relevant in years.
More on the state of Smackdown later, but first, moving on down the card...
The Diva's title match was abysmal. I had all I could do to sit through it. I can't stand Eve or Alicia Fox, or really anything about the Raw Women's division right now.
Solid Unified Tag Team Title match. I'm a big fan of both teams and I'm a little upset that it seems they've thrown in the towel on the Uso's already. A loss last month at Fatal 4 Way and now again tonight more or less seals the deal on their title chances and that's unfortunate.
World Heavyweight Title match was actually great. Would have been nice to see a match with Rey working at "100%", but nonetheless, a great match that really showcased why Jack Swagger is going to be main event player for years to come. Some very innovative offense and defense, and an excellent story told. Wrestling wise, this match took the cake tonight.
Predictable that Kane would cash in, though I half expected Swagger to win, then lose it to Kane, but that would have been logical. I'm tired of WWE constantly putting Rey into situations in which I'm suppose to feel bad for him.
Not much to say about the Women's Championship match. I think McCool and Layla are incredibly entertaining and tonight was no different. Kelly has come a long way and I'm probably one of the few that wouldn't mind seeing her as champion in the near future.
Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match was great, and really saved the night from being a huge disappointment. After Smackdown failed to break a new star in their match, I figured Raw was a near lock for Randy Orton, and it appeared that way, but The Miz winning was awesome. I don't think WWE could have gotten it anymore right here. The Miz is ready. He is a future main event player and the time is now to jump on his character, the heat he gets, and the excitement he brings to the ring. He's an incredibly hard worker and certainly deserves the opportunity.
It's funny now to think that after the draft, it looked like Smackdown would be the place for new stars to thrive and shine. A lack of main event talent would be sure to give some up and comers a chance to really push themselves into the spotlight. Instead it has become the total opposite. On Smackdown, one of the oldest, most washed up guys on the roster is given the World Heavyweight Championship, while several deserving talent that should, by every right, be moving into the main event scene got nothing. A terrible mistake that is going to cost Smackdown greatly.
Meanwhile, Raw has built a guaranteed main event star out of the Miz, and has done wonders for a guy like Evan Bourne, who looked impressive as hell tonight and can only get better.
I found Sheamus/Cena to be dreadfully boring from bell to bell. It was just like hurry up and wait for the Nexus to show up and sabotage any credibility the bout had, and eventually it happened, right on cue. Much like at Fatal 4 Way, their "attack" was nothing shocking, failed to further any storyline, and left the night ending on a very dull, lackluster, and repetitive note. The main event really killed the energy of the entire night, and left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

OH JERRY LAWLER, YOU ARE SO COOL FOR MAKING FUN OF MATT STRIKER'S COMMENTARY WHICH HAPPENS TO MAKE LOGICAL POINTS. Come on, really? A wrestler has to evolve during a main event? Striker makes a LOT of illogical points, and I like Striker.

The show was pretty good imo.
Kane winning was not what I wanted but okay whatever. He is the WHC after beating Rey so I could care less. He will be revealed as Taker's attacker and Taker will win it off him imo.. Boring!
Glad Alicia, Layla, and THD all successfully retained.
As for Miz winning he was my third fav so at least it wasn't Orton/Edge/Jericho..
And Sheamus winning doesn't mean much to me since Cena sucks as well.
I did like the PPV so I can't wait for it on DVD!

Jeff Hardy tweet during main event: Main event was almost as brutal as reading that tweet. Yeah, I'm no Jeff Hardy fan, but the main event was pretty bad. I'm not a fan of Sheamus, but I'm willing to admit he and Cena have had a couple of decent matches on Raw. Tonight, the chemistry just wasn't there. It just really dragged on and totally killed the energy.

I personally find Sheamus boring and unwatchable. I cant name one match he has had that hasnt bored me. It sucks that he may be here for a while.

For the most part, I agree, although he has improved a bit since his original run as Champion. He and McIntyre were both handled the totally wrong way upon entry and it's going to haunt them for the rest of their careers, to be honest. Sheamus is just now finally starting to be able to generate heat, and that's only because he's been forced down our throats so much. McIntyre, on the other hand, still can't get a crowd reaction to save his life. I think Sheamus is a hard working guy, but he just doesn't scream main event player to me, and he never has. And you're right, he's not a good enough worker to carry guys to decent matches on his own. He needs to be carried, and so far, he hasn't really meshed well with anyone other than Triple H, and I still wouldn't call either of their matches "great".

Yeah, I mentioned at some point earlier how much I hate the way they treat Striker. What's the point? Not saying that everything that comes out of his mouth is gold, but they treat him like he's some punk kid who doesn't know what he's talking about.
As for the show, I thought both MITB matches as well as both WHW Championships were worth watching. When Kane fought off Swagger and went to the back, I was this close to a face palm, thinking that they'd just made him look like the dumbest superstar in history. So I had a smile on my face when his pyro went off and he came back out. I'm not crazy about him winning either match tonight, but I'm always a sucker for a MITB cash-in. Loved seeing Miz win as well, as I'd long ago been hoping he'd take the briefcase at WM26 and was disappointed that he wasn't even in consideration for that match. Can't wait to see him finally win the big one. This guy has busted his ass the past few years and IMO deserves everything he gets, because he did it all on his own. I don't know if either match would make my top 3 of all time favorite MITB matches, but I still found the Raw MITB match to be oddly compelling, despite it being not quite as spotty as what we've come to expect. Once again, kudos for Maryse for getting involved with it.
The rest of the night ranged from blah to forgettable. The Womens Championship, although a sloppier and quicker match, actually appealed to me more than the Divas Championship did. Didn't think much of the Tag Title match. By the time the main event rolled around, I think we were all more so interested in whatever post-match antics there would be. We all expected Nexus, but there was also the lingering notion that Miz could cash in tonight as well. Very much disliked the fact that it was basically the same finish as last month. And like J12 said, the end of the night just left me with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
Not terrible, not great. And for those who didn't watch it, you should definitely check out the MITB matches.

I'll agree that he has improved, most definitely. But yeah, he doesnt scream Main Eventer to me ether. Hell, take his look for instance, as ed up as it sounds, i cant take a pale man with bright orange hair seriously. He doesnt have that monster look to him at all. And thats what they have and still are basically building him towards.

This is probably the 1st time I didn't enjoy Sheamus.
Im thinking it has alot to do with the fact there were already 2 MITB matches, the possibility of Nexus coming out, and the possibility of Miz cashing in. Just way too many things overshadowing Cena/Sheamus.

I just read the results. I am really pleased to see Kane win. I think he's way overdue a main event push. I couldn't stand Rey anyway, so it's win win. I am kind of surprised Miz won out of all the contenders, but I don't think I hate the move. As long as he doesn't cash in immediately. Miz seems like the type that could hold on to the case for months and it not really get old. He needs a few more months before he's a world champion anyway. As far as the other matches go, I'm not sure they really mattered outside of Cena/Sheamus, and there weren't a lot of surprises there, either. All in all, I think I am pleased, but not blown away.

Jeff Hardy tweet during main event: Well, Jeff, they probably caught a glimpse of TNA's cage match, and didn't want to cause a disqualification.
