Hulk Hogan is the ONLY name I can say and everyone Ive ever met know who he is. And this was before the Hogan Knows Best show. Since the 80s, Hogan has been THE household name.

Andre
Rock
Benoit
Ventura
Austin
Of course, in other countries there are wrestlers that are more
revered. El Santo and Rikidozan have become symbolic of goodness and justice rather than just well-known.

I dont see how The Rock gets named so much. Hogan, Flair, Austin I can see. Ill take the argument for Ventura and Benoit as well but Rock really isnt as popular with none wrestling fans as people think.

I just asked which wrestlers are famous, not necessarily because of their wrestling. I would say more non-fans know the Rock than Stone Cold |

Rocks movies arnt on the level of someone like Denzel Washington. He's had a handful (3-4) big movies but most were pretty much low rated to B movies. |

Thats really the only names that if you went to someone who had never seen wrestling, they'd be able to tell you, "Yea, he's that wrestler, isn't he?"
