Hey yo,
WrestlingFigs was on the scene at the Times Square Toys R Us in New York City for the Kofi Kingston & MVP autograph signing, where they took some time to talk with us about their Mattel figures! Enjoy!

Man, that's awesome that you guys are starting to score some interviews with some different wrestlers. And glad that you asked Kofi about his collection, since nobody was really sure how big of a collector he is.

They both seem like great guys. Kofi Kingston is one of my favorites out there and nice to hear some comments on Mattel and not just their own figures. I wish I could hear what they were saying when they both looked at the Shelton Benjamin figure though lol but great interview, Wish I lived near NYC for that.

Did anyone go to this? I didn't know if it was posted and I missed it or whatever. It seemed pretty personal with TRU capping it off at 400 I was curious as to how the turn out was. It also looked like they were signing other items since the kid at the end had two pictures of both guys that he brought with him.

I would say 100-125 max. And idk how that kid got those photos signed because I tried a few different times to get other things signed but TRU just wouldnt allow it.

They should do these things in different TRU's across the country. Like here in NC, you could easily have Matt Hardy & R-Truth do a local signing.

Everybody here though Kofi was a big collector, but it turns out he's not really one. I am guessing Cody Rhodes is the big collector in the WWE locker room.

Both Kofi Kingston and MVP are class acts. They're extremely sociable, which is something that I respect. MVP is an arrogant jerk when he's in character, but he's totally different in real life. Even Randy Orton's like that. The only interviews in which Randy Orton "goes off" on a reporter is the ones in which he's in character.
Some of these interviews are so interesting because we get to find out these WWE superstars are just like us. Randy Orton actually plays video games. Judging from his WWE gimmick, I could never visualize him like that!
