Mine when Hogan hulk become the third member in WCW & I also liked when they came to the WWE and went after The Rock

loved the NWO from Bash 96 until the "Fingerpoke of Doom" in Jan 99.....it was just one swerve too many.
I always remember thinking Bret Hart was gonna be the 3rd man because he hadnt been seen since WM12 and I thought he had left to go to WCW.I was effin stunned when Hogan joined.
I had my mouth open for like 2 minutes after this happened.loved the build to Starrcade 97.....despised its execution.

Was half expecting to come into "The N.W.O. I just watched this great show..." Seriously though I think JokerFC's time frame is spot on for what was good and the fingerpoke of doom was pretty much when I stopped watching WCW along with countless others. I remember watching Bash at the Beach 1996 scrambled on my TV and hearing Hogan had turned I was completely shocked.
It just got to the point where there were waaaay too many guys who shouldn't have been in the group. Bischoff even wanted Jericho to join but Jericho declined saying he didn't think it was a good idea so thank goodness for that.

I loved The Outsiders, Hall & Nash just showing up & causing havoc.
Then Hogan joined in a huge swerve despite Hennan's best efforts to give it away on commentary!!!
Then The Giant joining was well done.
I even liked them having Waltman & DiBiase in there as it added depth to an already impressive group. Set up so many opportunities.
Then however as already said too many guys joined. Alot of them were much lower level guys who brought nothing to the table & seriously devalued the group's image.

He was IWGP Heavyweight Champion twice during this time. |

Yeah Norton never showed much of anything in WCW. yup.he clearly was well able to perform as his Japanese stuff shows but in WCW he was severly non-descript. |

You guys are missing it with Scott Norton. Great big man, mainly utilized well in Japan; he was credible in WCW's nWo from 1996 to 1998 with Buff Bagwell before Bagwell went for Scott Steiner. And Norton's existence eroded. Solid big man, served purpose for those two years and ended up being unable to be used for anything too good when he was in Japan 80% of his time.

Does anyone remember when Nash suggested to HHH & HBK to call themselves "WWF nWo", that if Bischoff pulled legal action, Nash would "take care of him" ?
I remember reading that back in the day and thinking, "By God that would've been the smartest thing both companies could've ever done, period!"
Anyways, I always wanted Page to join due to his friendship with Hall & Nash from back in the ol AWA days.
And when the nWo came to WWF, they should've started out attacking mid-card guys at the time, instead of going directly after Rock... let it build up.
But one of the final hair-tingler moments in nWo history, was during a backstage seg with Lesnar & Heyman..... Heyman getting in Pac's face, HBK stepping in getting in Heyman's face, Lesnar stepping in getting in HBK's face, Nash stepping in getting in Lesnar's face ... before Heyman pulled Lesnar away, leaving Pac, HBK, Nash, Show looking all fierce and no-nonsene like (damn that was cool!)

Norton vs Goldberg, he had 2 matches with him in different years. I liked Norton, really good big man & i believe Hogan loved Norton, cos quite a few times he took Norton to the camera to say something into on Nitros

I'm not calling Norton talentless or anything to that effect. This 'arguement' is apparently over the fact that someone lumped Norton in the same category as Stevie Ray and Horace Hogan in terms of WCW name recognition and overness. And they're correct. |

And they're correct. that was me  Jimmy or Myself never said Norton was no talent-he obviously was with his Japanese record but in WCW he wasnt over and got very little time to shine.like countless other great talent he was lost yup he got 2 good matches with Goldberg and Im sure there were others.but in the nWo he was mostly a run in guy. |

You know, I would of loved the nWo just with Nash, Hall and Hogan, probably add DiBiase or Bischoff there, but it if you ask me, the nWo was amazing until Starrcade 1997 when Sting, and the fans got screwed.
After thinking about it, I would even preferred the idea of having Hall, Nash, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and probably X-Pac, instead of DX and nWo and have them as we know them, The Kliq.
