Zack Ryder purchased an entire MOC collection of WWF Hasbros Jesus, this guy is more annoying than Nikki Cross on Halloween. Why because he has money and can do what he wants with it??

So, as someone who hasn't really purchased many Hasbros for ten years, is the market these days really as bad as people say? I've been wanting to start collecting some carded figures for a decade and have a bit of extra money these days, but I also don't want to mortgage my house. The last time I bought Hasbros online was probably 6 or 7 years ago and they could be gotten for semi-reasonable prices.
I looked at some figures yesterday and even common figures like Hogan 2 are absurdly expensive.
I have almost an entire set of loose Hasbros from my youth (albeit beaten up) and probably 85% of them loose in pristine condition that I accumulated over the years, but only a few selected carded figures. Would really like Demolition and Jake at some point, at least.
What's the general consensus on why this happened? Just the current age of Hasbro-era kids? The release of the Retro line?

Yes, the market is crazy right now. Probably a few things (I'm sure others can chime in ...) - The market had been slowly increasing for a few years prior.
- The age—right now, those that had these as a kid are in their 30s, and likely the first time a lot of them have a decent amount of disposable income.
- Broski. It's a 'cool' thing now and going further away from the 'collecting nerd' that some people saw it as a decade ago. It's popular. It's hip. There's groups on Facebook buying groups of loose Hasbros and doing 'unboxing' videos as if they're rockstars. Zack essentially changed the perception of what it means to be a collector.
- People, at least in the states, are bored. There's not a lot to do right now.
- In the USA, stimulus money. Yep. Money to help the economy, yet, a lot of restaurants, bars, events, etc., are non-existent right now.
- With that, there's an unemployment benefit that worked out in an odd way for some—with the benefit, they actually are getting more per week than they while employed. It's a small portion of the population, but a select few are seeing extra cash.

One of the Hasbro Greg Valentine prototype figures sold recently; I wrote about the sale in this link.

Everything that EricG said plus I think the Netflix episode of the toys that made us last year brought more attention to the hasbro line. I've noticed an increase in asking prices on auction sites just since the beginning of the year.

I came across my hasbro ring (the one I had growing up) and with lots of goo gone and lacquer I was able to clean it. I re-stickered it and put new ropes on it. I found a guy on Facebook who sold me 46 hasbro's- mind you, I haven't had these since they ended - all in mint condition and they are due to come in today. I'm so excited!

Curious if anyone has seen this error?
I found it in my collection that has been in storage for 30 years.
I can't seen to replicate it, with several hours work in.
Thanks.
