Right, well, simply this, IMO, was the best time WWE ever had, all storylines were great, Austin was in his prime, Rock was the fresh faced Main Eventer, Mankind finally got a push to ME status too, and Triple H went from Mid-Card to Main Event. Undertaker went from the deadman to a Devil like character, complete with Lucifar beard, not to mention is actions such as hanging Boss Man, sacrificing a number of people, just some evil stuff.
Plus, this time also included the Corporate Ministry, an amazing storyline, the best ever IMO, and this lead to the highest rated Raw ever, so yea, anyone else agree that this was the best time WWE ever have had, and may ever have.

Wrestlemania 13 - Survivor Series 1997 was better. WCW July 1996 - June 1998 was better. WWF Year 2000 was better.

It was pretty good entertainment wise, but the wrestling was meh. I much prefer the first six months of 2001. Not to say I didn't love the Invasion.

i liked the whole stone cold era (mid to latter 98) more, but 99 was a great time.
the raws during 98 were just outstanding for the most part though, i loved watching.

Yeh storyline wise it was an incredible time however that time period will always be overshadowed by Owen Hart's death in may 1999

But taken out of context and watched now, it's not as good as it was then. Whereas 2000, I can pretty much always watch and enjoy. The wrestling in 1999 was very meh, not to mention all the nonsensical storylines (I'm looking at your, greater power.)

Couldn't disagree more. 1999 was way too reliant on shock value for entertainent. The main event storylines were pretty good, but in the first 6 months of '99 alone, the World Title changed hands seven times. That year saw more pointless title changes than any other year in history. And the midcard was pretty crappy in terms of actual wrestling. The storylines were generally interesting, but they were all risque and as I said, too reliant on being shocking.
The only Attitude Era year that deserves any praise is 2000. 2000 was the perfect blend of good wrestling and creative storylines. Just a very fun year overall, where everything felt important and the creativity well was overflowing. And it didn't rely on sex and crude storylines to accomplish entertainment (for the most part). You had Benoit, Jericho, & Angle tearing apart the midcard, E&C/Hardyz/Dudleyz tearing apart the tag division, and good main event storylines.

I would say 2000- early 2001 was the best WWF year.

The end of 2001 was my favorite. Sure the Invasion was what people hoped it would be, but it gave us Austin vs Angle, which is one of my favorite fueds of all time.

for me the last 6 months of 1998 were better... red hot Austin as champ, fending off challenges from the Undertaker,Kane,Dude Love,etc.., Mankind/Undertaker Hell in a Cell Rock really started to hit his stride on the Mic... ing EPIC SummerSlam 1998 ,with Austin/Taker as the main event... Rock fan-favorite tease before turning heel again in a surprise.... DX was THE hottest thing in wrestling not named Stone Cold Survivor Series, and the turning of the Montreal Screw-Job into a white-hot angle... DX invades WCW newer talent like Edge,Val Venis,Gangrel were getting over... Mankind wins the belt right at the end of the year... WWF was on fire as 1998 came to a close....

The whole Attitude era is so overrated imo, all about the main events with barely a thought to the undercard. How many PPV's in that era had the dreaded bonus match added on just before the PPV just because the writers didn't care enough about you to make a strong feud unless you were a top guy.

WWF in the later half of 1999 was much better. WCW burnt out their good flame if you ask me after Spring Stampede.
