I copy and pasted the highlights of this interview. I have no idea why they want Cap. to evolve his uniform from modern day Cap. to WWII Cap. Makes ZERO sense.
- Captain America will have two different costumes in the film. - Costume designed by the Army for his initial USO appearances that's slightly more flashy and a nod to the original design. - Captain America creates a new costume that's more battle-ready. This second costume will the primary costume for the film. - Trademark wings that flank the side of Cap's hood are gone. In fact the "hood" is gone entirely. In its place is a more traditional M1 Army helmet though this helmet does come over the eyes to give Cap a traditional "domino mask" look. - The white "A" in the middle of the hat. - A thick black strap comes down over the ears and connects under the chin. - On his chest still lies the white star though it's not as prominent as the comic version. - The costume is still split horizontally through the middle with blue on top and red and white stripes on the bottom. - His shoulders have pads over them that extend down to about mid-bicep and are attached via a brown strap under the arm. - Captain America is wearing blue pants tucked into brown utility boots. The pants aren't skin tight but they aren't baggy either. The pants actually have a fly so Cap can take a leak if he needs to. - The suit actually has a practical WWII military look to it. - As for the shield, it actually hews very closely to the classic design of red/white/red rings with the white star in a blue circle at the middle.

Im a huge fan of Cap, Steve Rogers in general. That said, the costume is the least of this movies problems.
Chris Evans has no bussiness in this role. Not the what i was hoping for. He is too boyish, sure Steve is handsome, but Evans is just downright girly.

So it's like running the present first, then showing the past?

America character will NOT be represented well unless he gives a performance that is completely unlike any other in his career. And even then I'm not confident he'll have a strong enough presence to command guys like Fury, Iron Man, Thor and possibly Hulk around, because they're all better actors.

See this news bothers me! The reason why Iron Man 1 & 2 & the Incredible Hulk movies were so good is because they (for the most part) stuck to the comics. The characters are crazy popular for a reason, so why change everything?

Evans wasnt my first choice, but I could live with it. Rumors say that Hulk will be in the Avengers movie, but Ed Norton will not. And another rumor is that Iron man will lead the Avengers and not Cap.

As long as the movie dosnt suck I will be OK. I am a die hard marvel Fan, and quite honestly I will be more than pissed if they mess this characters film up.
Honestly though, most of the marvel movies have turned out really good.
I Like the X Men movies, I loved x men origins, and I love the 2 iron Man films. I enjoy all of them really. the only ones i really thought just sucked were Ghostrider, Daredevil "Ben Aflack, really", and Elektra.

I have no problem with this. Just like when X-Men came out and people wanted Wolverine to be in the blue and yellow, it worked out alright. As long as the movie's good.

Well, that seems kind of minor considering everyone got uniform revamps. This makes no sense b/c you are going backwards in the timeline.

Evans being Cap is strange but i've decided not make any judgments until at least a picture shows of him in full gear.
as for what they're planning on having him wear, i agree with Malcolm Reynolds. the look they described does sound a lot like the Ultimate Marvel Universe . i just hope they refine the look a little better.

This movie takes place during WWII, so thats why I dont care how he looks then.
What I want to know, is how he will look for the Avengers movie, when he stands alongside Ironman, Hulk and Thor.

Ultimate Cap makes sense since they went with Ultimate Nick Fury: I have no problem with this. Just like when X-Men came out and people wanted Wolverine to be in the blue and yellow, it worked out alright. As long as the movie's good. I was less concerned with the costume and more concerned with the six-foot Australian with the musical theatre background who was wearing the costume. Luckily, all my concerns were dispelled.

Well according to the notes, Cap is going to start off with a more modern day look and then will grow into the WW II era Cap. Yes, it would make sense for WWII Cap look to be in the WWII scenes, however, the sounds of this.....most of the movie is taking place in modern times.

Supposedly, during the WWII scenes, he will look sorta like the traditional Captain America; and it will progress to modern day, where he will be dressed like the WWII version, as seen in the pics posted earlier?

Maybe you could just link the interview, instead of us having to take your word for it, because thus far, from your original post, it sounds like you're worried over nothing.
