The Steiners, The Funks or Harlem Heat; all of those were great teams.

Bret and Owen don't belong in the poll, neither do Kendal and Barry Windham. My vote went to the Brisco Brothers, the runner up's were The Wild Samoans and Funks.
The Steiners were great, but they did not mainevent shows all around the world, the Brisco's on the other hand did.

Im sure they did some in Japan.....as did the Steiners....and maybe some at local territorial shows, as the Steiners did on shows like World Wide and Saturday Night but I dont recall either being "headliners" for a big event

The Funks, no question. HM's would go to The Steiners, absolutely. As G2 said no teams in the past 5 years are included, that's fine, but I'd personally add (even if it doesn't mean anything here) the Briscoe Brothers (Mark and Jay) of ROH fame, as they debuted in 2000.

They feuded with the Funks and headlined around the world & made a lot of money doing it. The Funks vs The Brisco's is possibly the greatest tag team rivalry of all time, just ahead of the Freebirds vs Von Erich's. The Brisco's also had a hand in making the Road Warriors. The Brisco's took on the tougher teams in a tougher era. Road Warriors, Funks, Sheepherders, Youngblood & Steamboat were great combination's. The Brisco's excelled as both heel's and face's too, Steiner's can't say the same. No disrespect, but just because you did not know about the Brisco's headlining around the world, does not mean it did not happen.

Im not saying the Briscos werent a draw but saying "they main evented all over the world in territories" is about like sayin "The Steiners main evented World Wide." Briscos vs Funks at the State Fair in El Paso, Tx is just about as equal as Steiners vs Harlem Heat on world wide. Neither is exactly a "big stage". I take nothing away from territories or regional championships but when looking at a grand stage, those really shouldnt matter. You need to look at the big picture. Titles like NWA/WCW/WWF/AWA/AJPW/IWGP world titles. Those are true "world" titles. Brisco Bros only held 1 of the above mentioned and only did it 3 times where as the Steiners held multiple, multiple times.
