What do we reckon, guys? Will Inception top the box office on it's opening weekend? With the new Twlight being on top (most likely) for 2 weeks, by the 3rd week (16th), there should ba drop in box office takins, and with Inception hugely anticipated, I can see it taking it.

I'm sure Inception will top the box office, but I wouldn't say for a long period of time. Twilight is geared towards younger crowds, as are a lot of summer movies. Inception, based off of other Nolan movies, is probably not going to be for everyone.

The embargo for all reviews is lifted later this evening, so expect a flood of reviews to come through. I'm predicting about a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it is confirmed that Empire (a UK film magazine and one of the most well trusted review sources the world over) has given the film 5 stars by saying:
"Like The Matrix mated with Synecdoche, New York - or as Charlie Kaufman 007. To paraphrase Casino Royale's Vesper Lynd, it's a meaningful pursuit in a summer of disposable entertainments. With physics-defying, thunderous action, heart-wringing emotion and an astonishing performance from DiCaprio, Nolan delivers another true original: welcome to an undiscovered country."

I'm trying to stay away from all reviews and any more footage at this point.

I'm trying to stay away from all reviews and any more footage at this point. Same for me. I'm really just trying not to anticipate it anymore.

I'm trying to stay away from all reviews and any more footage at this point. I would, but I just can't as I'm too excited. If I was you then, avoid all movie forums tonight as the embargo on Inception reviews is lifted, so they're gunna be everywhere tonight.

I read the CHUD review but skipped all the plot detail paragraphs.
... awesome.

I really liked this from the Empire review:
"Only repeat viewing will reveal if this comparison is truly justified, but it feels like Stanley Kubrick adapting the work of the great sci-fi author William Gibson (Neuromancer) — except Nolan appears to like people more than the 2001 auteur."

Yeah, I found that bit amusing as well. Well guys, it's safe to see we have one of the finest movies in years on our hands here, judging by all the reviews that have come flooding through. Having read them all (yes, I have spent my last hour and a half filtering my way through them all), either Empire or Chud's is the best.

So often I go into a movie expecting something amazing and I am always left a bit disappointed...
..but I know that this movie will not disappoint. I know acting is not a competition and there are no rankings but Leo is seriously at the top of his game as of late and I feel he might be the best actor right now. I'm glad he is starting to make movies that are not only really good but also do pretty well at the box-office. It seemed for awhile after Titanic he had a hard time getting a box-office hit.

Can't wait. I'm also avoiding plot information.

I know a pretty fair amount of the plot at the moment and feel that it is required, considering Empire's review states, "The third act makes Memento seem about as complex as Bear In The Big Blue House" and a lot of the other reviews stress the complexity of the film.Feel I need a bit of understanding of the plot specifics going into it.

If this move disappoints I will kill myself.
...that's how much faith I have in this film.

I'm staying away from reviews at this point as I've managed to resist reading too much about the plot (I know very little more than is shown in the trailers), but the consensus seems to be that this film is stunning and for that reason I can't wait. My favourite Nolan film is The Prestige by a considerable margin but that could quite possibly change after this! EXCITINGGG!
