My Mum's favourite wrestler for sure.
I'm a Lance Storm fan and a Tito Santana fan, but I'm not going to compare and say who I like more, I can't understand or condone why Storm rants all the time, but hey, he's got an article in FSM every month, must have a load on his mind, I don't know.

Tito is probably the 2nd greatest all around Latino wrestler ever. Possibly even the best. I think he and Pedro Morales would def be running 1 and 2......
....Waits for someone under the age of 20 to say "uhhh Eddie Guerrero says hi dude"

I've watched some of Tito's matches, and I thought they were mostly great. Great wrestler, one of the few things I like of the late 70's-early 80's

Tito is for sure remembered highly among us "Old School" fans. He was one of the biggest names in the 80's.
He will go down in my personal memory as one of the WWF greats.

no, he was much bigger on his own than jannetty. watch his singles matches in the 80's at MSG. he was the biggest latino star ever to that point in the US. he's a true hall of famer and legend. when talking about face wrestlers in the wwf of the 80's his name comes up top 5. jannetty was never on that level. ever. I mentioned that...I was referring to the aftermath of Strike Force's breakup by calling him 'Jannetty'. To be fair, the difference is that Jannetty was an p and comer and should have went on to bigger things. Santana was already nearing the end of his career when they formed Strike Force. Granted he was with the company a few more years, but he was mostly there to help out the younger guys. But anyway, I'm a fan of Tito, always have been since I was a kid. His work with Valentine was especially good. Also, as an avid reader of Storm's blog, I don't remember him ever saying he hated Santana. In the Mania reviews he said he disliked Strike force when he was a fan, as he didn't like pretty boys (a team with a theme called"girls in cars" would certainly fit that). also, he didn't think high;y of his mania matches. Which, I don't know if you guys remember the matches he had at Mania, but most of them were not very good. They were short and uneventful, save for a couple. I could be wrong, maybe he does hate him. But those are the only things I remember him saying about tito, and I can't really fault him for either... though I personally liked his match with Barbarian, even if it was short... but then again, I love Barbarian. Tito is probably the 2nd greatest all around Latino wrestler ever. Possibly even the best. I think he and Pedro Morales would def be running 1 and 2...... ....Waits for someone under the age of 20 to say "uhhh Eddie Guerrero says hi dude" No love for Mil Mascaras? I've watched some of Tito's matches, and I thought they were mostly great. Great wrestler, one of the few things I like of the late 70's-early 80's Norman- Mil Mascaras was a hack. Sure he did some flashy things and I can't knock his athleticism, but he's one of the most hated men in the business for a reason. G2- i'm not in the under 20 crowd. I'm nearly 30. I was a huge fan of Tito growing up (still am) and while I missed Morales initially, i have seen a good amount of his work over the years. I would still put Eddie above both of them. It's probably just a matter of taste, but he's been among my favorites, sometimes reaching number one, since I first saw him wrestle in 94. Watching his dvds recently just made me love his work that much more. Not trying to argue, but you did bring it up

Tito Santana got clean victories over the likes of Greg Valentine and Randy Savage, I think that is enough to put an end to this conversation. he also beat Undertaker as well. The match is on dailymotion. my work blocks it so i can't link it. Tito was great in the early 80s. The feud with Valentine is one of the best ever. The cage match where Tito finally regains the IC title is such a classic, as was The Hammer destroying the title belt. It's been said to death but I'll kick the horse one more time. I miss the way how the titles meant something back then. Tito chased and chased The Hammer for months to get his belt back and to win it in the "most brutal" match of them all? Icing on the cake. Tito was a great worker all the way up to his last days. But you can tell towards the end he just didn't care anymore. A great IC champion but he couldn't be a world champ.
