im guessing, the back arm is behind then head, then it goes the head, then the arm then the sprite, and because the sprite isnt light grey to make it coloured its white to make the rest invisible, so the arm goes through the head but the sprite is over the arm  |

The arm is behind the head and behind the arm, for some reason the white in head is transparent, all the sticks are like that but usually gif format fixes it.
...
Im gonna try make a ani somewhen with this style.
