Anybody remember these guys? I totally forgot this team ever existed, until I saw them a few weeks ago on an episode of NWA wrestling from 1987 on WWE Classics.
This team was green and the gimmick was extremely lame. Have they ever been mentioned in Wrestlecrap? Because they are worthy IMO.

New Breed in Wrestlecrap?!?!? HOW DARE YOU!!!!
Sadly, they were inducted into Wrestlecrap. But at the time, I thought they were awesome. I seriously believe if Chris Champion hadn't have been in the car accident, they would have had (at least) a U.S. Tag Team Title run. The first thing that I ever posted on Youtube footage of them, but my account was deleted.
In 1987, these guys were like a breath of fresh air. They weren't muscle heads, and their interviews were close to stand up comedy. Champion would jump from the top turnbuckle to his opponent on the outside of the ring. Things like that were insane to see.
I was truly hoping they would've stayed around a bit longer.

I'm sorry dude, but jumping off the top turnbuckle does not make you awesome, or a breath of fresh air.. It is not exactly as if a breath of fresh air was needed in a tag division that featured The Road Warriors, Rock n Roll Express & the new Midnight Express of Lane & Eaton. These guys was green and clumsy, their promo's were comically bad. Their look was also. I'm glad they were inducted to Wrestlecrap. I think the only title they could contend for is for lamest tag team, and they would totally give the Dynamic Dudes a run for their money.

At the time, I loved the New Breed. I thought they were funny and high energy. Admittedly, their look hasn't aged well, but I don't think they were "Wrestlecrap" bad.
Also, in the mid-80's, jumping off the top turnbuckle onto someone outside of the ring definitely was awesome. Plus, they were from the future, when Dusty Rhodes was president. How can you hate that? ;D
