the triangle ladder match was my favorite match on here.....
also if the main event here had been the backlash 2000 main event it would be in the running for one of the best WMs.....

what was the backlash main event? The Rock vs. Triple H for the WWF Championship with a Steve Austin run-in.

In my opinion, the biggest mistake of the show was them not having The Rock vs. Triple H one on one with The Rock coming out on top. Like many have said, the Backlash match would have been perfect.

I remember ordering this on ppv my favorite match was the triangle ladder match. I also think that the main event would have been better if it was the rock vs triple h.

The Triple Threat between Angle, Benoit and Jericho was just brilliant, clever booking to help all three men.
TBH, I didn't really care for the Main Event, as the Triangle Ladder match was (at the time) just an epic match from the get-go.
The Hardcore Batte Royal was just what I remember; chaotic, and a few matches were just filler (but at the time, I probably liked them too)

Interesting. I hope that I can make it to 16 by Sunday. I'm going back and watching all Wrestlemania's in reverse order. I just kinda decided to do it last night.

the jericho/benoit/angle match is by far my favourite. i remember loving how the wwe was using benoit as this tenacious little er. that hardcore battle royal was a cluster , absolutely terrible match with no redeeming factor other than taz being featured. and foley's jump off the announce table still plays clearly in my mind. you can just about feel his sternom cracking...jesus

I liked the main event alot. I always like a heel winning at WM bc it doesn't happen often. The twist of vince joining with hunter was very entertaining and memorable. Overall this was a solid ppv that was reflective of the attitude era overall....not the best technical wrestling but strong storylines and entertaining matches.

I personally never saw this Mania but have seen a few matches from it. Gotta say the Triangle Ladder match was great and the Benoit/Jericho/Angle was awesome. I need to get it on DVD and watch it soon. How would you guys compare it to WM 15 & 17?

Never been a big fan of Wrestlemania 16.
The main event was a mess. As much as I marked out for Foley coming back, his send off was too good at No Way Out. They could have stuck with Triple H vs. Rock or done the triple threat with the Big Show and kept a McMahon in every corner. Really, the main event needed to end the way it did to make the Backlash main event as epic as it was.
I love the triangle ladder match and the IC/Euro title match, but the rest of the card did nothing for me. I know that Chyna was hot (metaphorically, not literally) at the time, but I wasn't a fan of seeing her beat up the Radicals.
To tnafan17, it's better than 15, but doesn't come close to 17.
...Chester McCheeserton ftw.

I've been watching alot of wrestling lately, well, alot of older stuff, and I bought this on Tagged Classic earlier and watched some of it , and tbh, I think it lacked something, I watched 15, and I thought it was great, and will always think that, but 16, eh, I don't know, just something, but yea, quite good, the Main Event I still have to finish, but tbh, having the Foley just seemed meh, you know, but hey, I'll watch the rest probs tomorrow.
Plus, I forgot how hardhitting it was, the BR is brutal, and the ME is also quite full of stiff shots
