I've seen one once before but can't remember if that was a custom or not. Personally I have never seen any variation of the Hasbro Jake ànd the bubble does appear to be messed with. Then again......... could be true........ but I doubt it as the snake looks like it was just discolored by the sun. Where's Hasbromaniac when you need him?

I saw the one that the seller put up on 03/24 and was tempted to bid on it. After looking over the pic and searching for other Spanish Jakes, didn't look legit. I had never heard of this so-called rare "variant" before. The snake doesn't even look like the regular released snake, and I'm not referring to the color but the shape. Funny that this is a rare piece and this seller has another one within a week to sell. Maybe gatoruk decided to back out of paying and the guy relisted. Smart buyer if he cancelled payment.

You never know but I don't believe it. If you view his feedback he sold a kamala moon on the belly for 100 euro's (buy it now) and then turns around and is asking 350 euro's for jake??? all looks alittle to fishy to me.

I agree, the bubble looks reglued and is definitely sun damaged.
On a similar point, I've had a Dusty Rhodes in direct sunlight for a few months now in order to test my theory that there is NO yellow boots Dusty. The results are in... After just a few months his hair is now white and his legs are a much lighter shade. I am expecting the yellow in the boots to 'spread' now therefore proving the yellow boots figure is merely sundamaged. I'll post before and after pics when its done. Might be a loooong time.

I have a yellow boots Dusty Rhodes. The difference between that and the normal version really is there. The normal version has legs that were molded in skincolor. The variant version has legs molded in black with skincolor painted on it.

Really? The one I have in the sun has really changed since the 'test' began so I was certain that was the cause. Hmm, the mystery deepens.

The fact that it's very easy to tamper with and reseal bubbles without noticible evidence aside, the story that goes along with the listing totally blows the credibility of the figure. Some guy in Spain saw a picture of Jake with a lighter colored snake and decided to make the run change, then was told by someone at the WWF not to? First, the lighter colored snake was called "Revealation" and it was not used until Jake's ill-fated "born again" run that spawned the Austin 3:16 catchphrase and little more. In other words, about five or so years after this figure came out and Jakks was making the WWF figures by then. Second, the figures themselves were not made in Spain, but in China just like all the other figures, and the carding just has spanish writing for the market.
Simply, this guys a con and he should be embarrassed.
