I personally love the BCA figs, I have so many, I have always perfered the earlier ones and the boxed sets

No disrespect to kjtoys, and this is more just speaking to a general audience, but I think people are quick to judge the appearance of BCA figures in comparison with the current Jakks/wrestling figures of today.
I'm not saying there weren't many awful head/body sculpts, because there were, but they should be distinguished as pre-Real Scan, not as anything that in any way relates to the quality of the technology available in 2009.
In other words, viewing them through 1999 lenses doesn't hurt.
On topic, I have a couple hundred BCA figures, mostly loose and about 20-30 random MOC doubles that I've acquired since I started rebuilding my collection in July 2007.
I have one of each wrestler/character that was produced during the original BCA era, but there are many repaints and re-releases that I have yet to buy.

Those figures were the greatest thing ever 10 - 14 years ago!! As a teenager then, I found myself going to the toy section more than I think I did as a child just to buy those BCA figures. They were like LJN's and Hasbro figures put into one to make the ultimate figure that was rubber and plastic and could move on you to do certain moves that you just couldn't do right with the other figures.
Those pictures of those BCA figures were a definite time warp for me, so much that I even book marked this page to show others I know who collected the BCA's.

i love BCA's!! i wish they would go back to that version. The ones out now are merely for display..not for playing. The BCA's has so much playability (ive acutally had them out today playing with them hehe). Ive even customized some to make some newer current wrestlers. Those pictures are awesome, id still like to get a few of the rarer ones, but mainly have all of the originals they are.

Some pretty impressive pictures there! Only Jakks figures I ever bought (until the last 8 weeks) was the Goldust/Marlena 2 Tuff Series 1 2-pack. They just never appealed to me compared to Hasbros but now love the Jakks stuff available.
Could have picked up loads of these above recently loose at £2 per figure but passed.

You have to keep in mind that in 1997-1998 you would drop just $5 to get one figure, and they didn't have real scan back then nor the capability to produce everything so accurately. Funnily enough a lot of the BCAs have more effort than modern Jakks, despite being "inferior". |

the bca's are awesome..i always looked forward to going into the stores waiting for a new set...i remember the first one i saw.goldust series 1 at kaybee toys,the only one there..me and my brother looked at the back of the package to see who the others were ,and looked what seemed like forever to find them.(probably 3 days lol).. i got diesel and my bro got shawn.... cool post and an awesome collection.

I used to love going to the toy stores and getting those as a kid. They were great for their time and cheap which was also great.
