December 13, 2009I was sitting in my den, watching the TLC PPV when luckily, my phone rang. Me: Hello? Dad: Yes son, it's me, your father, Nick Bockwinkel. Me: Yes, Dad, I know. Dad: Ah, good. I was just calling to inform you that I will be on hand at the inaugural TCW show. Me: Excellent, is that all? Dad: No. I will present the winner of the six-man battle royal a title belt as the first ever TCW National Champion. Me: National champ, nice. Old school feel to it. Dad: Precicely. I'll let you get back to your PPV now, son. Me: Oh, believe me... I'm in no rush.

Strange choice for a Battle Royal as I feel that the best wrestlers are in other matches. I can't wait for the first show, however.

December 26, 2009Coast 2 Coast (Donnie East & Chris West) defeated Hector the Great & "Precious" Perry StardustC2C are an awesome young tag team and made short work of Hector & "Precious" Perry. For what it's worth, I don't think Hector speaks English, so there may have been some communication problems. After East & West celebrated & left the ring, Hector & Stardust got into a little bit of a shoving fight. Richie Stevens (w/ Kaci Montgomery) defeated X Jack after the KCK & the Tornado Alley (Superkick & Shooting Star Press)This high flying action got the crowd fired up for sure. These two young athletes showed some of the fastest and best high flying action since the cruiserweight division of WCW. Even though visibly upset, Jack still lifted Richie's hand in good sportsmanship "The Ace of Harts" Kevin Hart & Cody Rejero went to a 20 minute draw.Unlike the previous match, these two athletes put on a technical clinic. After many near falls, it came down to Rejero hanging in the Sharpshooter for over a minute until time ran out at 15:00. The crowd wanted "five more minutes" to which both men obliged. Rejero got the best of Hart this time, and locked him into his version of the Sharpshooter, which Hart withstood for his own minute until the five minutes were up. The crowd wanted "five more minutes", but this time, both men were too weakened to go anymore. The two men embraced in the middle of the ring, to a huge ovation of "Thank you, Kevin!" & "Thank you Cody!". After Rejero left, Hart took his final bows, until Ace Bennett came from the back with a mic. "Give it up for the 'Ace of Harts', ladies and gentlemen! You know, I don't know what's more insulting: the Hart part, or the Ace part. Personally, I'm almost ashamed to hear you be announced as the Ace of anything." (Kevin opened the ropes to invite Bennett in.) "Nah, I'll wait until you're 100%, but know something, Hart, your 100% is only 1/2 of my 100%. You do the math." Twin Cities Wrestling owner, Nick Bockwinkel then came out with the TCW National Championship.Safu Anoa'i won the Battle Royal to crown the TCW National Champion. also in the match: Sean Connor, ML Matthews, Matt Daniels, Leon Shannon, Jamie Johnson & Drew Parkland Safu was an unannounced competitor. He arrived through the crowd, in street gear, and was the last to come in after only Connor & Parkland were left standing. Nick Bockwinkel did present Safu with the title and congratulated him, but Safu took the mic, and began to speak. "Even though I don't care about this title, I'm going to hold it. My family's been though too much sh*t for me to sit aside and watch as six undeserving hacks win a title that should be mine. I'm not just taking this title for me, but I'm taking it for my cousins, Rodney & Eddie, God rest their souls. I'm taking it for my entire family who's been held down since the Wild Samoans. But most of all, I'm taking this title for the nation of Samoa!" He then left Nick & the crowd stunned. Devin Curtis defeated Red Dragon with a superkick.Red Dragon is now wrestling unmasked, which coincidentally came into play in the finish of the match. As Dragon lifted Curtis for the Red Dragon Driver, a man in a mask similar to Dragon's old one came down to ringside, which distracted him long enough to Curtis to get up and hit Dragon with a sick superkick for the win. As Curtis was celebrating, the masked man came into the ring, stood over Dragon, & took off the mask to reveal himself to be Lee Kineval, Dragon's brother. He threw the mask onto Dragon's chest and stood over him. Main Event Evan Pagano & Duan Sanchez Jr. defeated Mike Bockwinkel & Nick JacobsDuan and Pagano seemed to barely get along. In fact, if it wasn't for their mutual hatred of Bockwinkel, this match probably couldn't have happened. Bockwinkel seemed to know what he was getting into and tried to have as little ring time as possible, only to tag in when his opponent was weakened. In the end, Mike watched as Pagano hit The Calling, followed by DSJ's Second Generation Moonsault for the win. Mike walked to the back, half ignoring Duan's challenge to him. Mike stopped at the entrance, turned around and motioned for Duan to turn around. When he did, Pagano & Devin Curtis nailed DSJ with two simultaneous Superkicks. Bockwinkel then smiled and left the arena as the St Louis Connection stood over Duan.

Very nice, I like how you implemented some very interesting storylines right away. Ace vs. Hart is always a great match, and I expect nothing less from TCW. Glad Coast to Coast are making an appearence, hopefully a solid tag division develops and they can win the tag titles. Safu winning the National title was a surprise, but pretty cool to see. Keep this up man, you got a reader here.

Great show, so many good storylines, Ace/Hart should shape upto be awsome, C2C starting up the tag team scene, guessing National title is the middle card title nice to see Safu win it, a Dragon/Kineval feud should be good as well suprised to see it so high up the card, would have liked Bock and Jacobs to win as they are an established team, oh and little thing I picked up as that you used the Superkick too much in the show, keep this up it looks great!

I really don't like seeing X Jack lose in his debut as its a bad sign of things to come. Other than NWL, X Jack has been treated poorly at the beginning of sign-ups, I hope its not the case here. Good show overall though with a great main event, I'm glad you didn't put yourself over.

Very good opening show, would have liked to see a little introduction in the beginning but to start off with C2C makes me happy . Seems like with the two following matches that there is quite a large variety of talent you have so I'm really interested to see where you take these guys. IMO having Safu come out of nowhere and win the title was an odd decision but I also wanna see where you go with it. The main event sounded great especially the after math with DSJ getting the double super kick from the Connection. Overall I really enjoyed the show and can't wait for the next one.

Great show, Bock. And I'm not just saying that because both Safu and Devin won their matches, but also because it was very well written. The battle royal was great, and Safu coming out of nowhere and winning the belt is awesome. The main event was great as well. I can't wait to see where you go with the STL Connection/Duan Sanchez Jr feud. Looking great, man. The next show should be fantastic!

Tag team match was good glad C2C won. Sad to see X-Jack lose. Hope he gets some sort of a push. As said above I love the 20 minute draw and an Ace/Hart feud could be Phenomenal. Safu winning the TCW world title is great and very unexpected. And a Duan/Bockwinkel feud could be amazing. Good first show.

December 27, 2009 (Midnight)I got home from the show, and checked my answering machine "You have one new message"Dad (via machine): Mike, this is your father, Nick Bockwinkel. I just wanted to let you know that I've already come up with a few matches for the next show, which will take place January 23. First, Hector the Great will wake on "Precious" Perry Stardust. Secondly, in the first of two rematches: X- Jack will once again take on Richie Stevens, the second rematch will be Kevin Hart versus Cody Rejero - no time limit. Thirdly, Safu will defend his TCW National Championship against both Drew Parkland and Sean Connor. Lastly, you and Jacobs will team up again, against the STL Connection.
I'll call back to let you know what other matches I'll be adding to the show. Oh, by the way, the referee for your match... is Duan Sanchez Jr.

No Ace again, but I can see him getting involved in the Hart match. Coast to Coast getting some nice show time, and like I said before I hope a tag division can really start to flourish in TCW. Keep it up man.

Not sure about Rejaro/Hart main eventing rather the tag match, the title match sounds good, not sure about 2 rematches in one night but both should be good, sad there is no Kineval or Dragon but hoping they might make a promo in the show, good luck and keep this up.

Very good first show. Absolutely loved my match, the time limit draw was a great idea. The idea of Hart/Bennett coming to TCW is phenomenal, my favorite sign up guy to go against. Can't wait for the next show.

Nick Bockwinkel Presents:
Saturday January 23, 2010"Precious" Perry Stardust defeated Hector the GreatHonestly, the crowd wasn't into this a whole lot. The man that Hector came to the ring with tried to get involved in the match, but this was actually his downfall, when he accidentally tripped up Hector, which led to Perry hitting the Stardust Splash. After the match, Hector & this new guy argued while Perry left and laughed about the situation. Coast 2 Coast (Chris West & Donnie East ) defeated The Minnesota Wrestling Crew (Jeremy & Zac Anderson)Jeremy& Zac are formerly,Brother Jeremiah and Brother Zechariah, The Brothers in Arms from PTW. This match, albeit having a similar result as C2C's first match, wasn't a complete squash. The Anderson Brothers are still very young, so they're still looking to find their big break. As good as they were, it wasn't enough to put down East & West. X-Jack defeated Richie Stevens (w/ Kaci Montgomery)These two high-flying athletes upped their game for this match, which obviously pleased the fans. Jack and Richie are showing great respect to each other, and for good reason. Jack was able to hit Richie with his very impressive finisher, The X. Afterwards, Richie and Kaci raised Jack's hand much like he did to Richie at the last show. Red Dragon then came out with a mic in hand. "Lee, I know it was you. So, be a man for once in your life, and come out to face me!" Without any hesitation, Lee Kineval was out wearing a red ski mask and a black shirt with "Red Dragon" in iron-letters. "What the hell is this, Lee?" asked Dragon. "Glad you asked, Marc. See, it's just like when we were growing up. I wanna be JUST like you. I wanna be Red Dragon! Ha. Then I'd be making the big money, eh, Marc? Action figures, replica masks, shirts, the kiddys eat this sh*t up don't they? Yeah.. you know all about that." Lee replied. "It was NOT about the money, Lee." "Okay.. I believe you... but I'm keeping the mask, because I'm ashamed to call you my brother." said Lee. "Whatever, Lee, but there is still the factor of you needing to pick up your receipt from last month." "How contradicting. First you say this isn't about the money, then you tell me to come pick up some sort of receipt. Like I said: ashamed to call you my brother. At least I have another brother I can be proud of." Right on cue, the middle brother, Sam, jumped over the guardrail and slid in the ring, and surprised him with the Welcome to Kinevalville Motherf*cker. Sam went meet Lee in the entryway as they both shouted "Welcome to Kinevalville, Motherf*cker!" Safu Anoa'i (c) defeated Sean Connor & Drew Parkland in a Three Way Dance to retain the TCW National ChampionshipParkland and Connor double-teamed Safu throughout most of the match, that is of course until they both realized it'd probably be easier to turn on each other to pick up an elimination and narrow the field down. Connor was able to put away Parkland with the Blackout, but as soon as he got the 3- count. He knew he had to face Safu all alone, which didn't last much longer. Safu finished off Connor with the Samoan Drop to retain. Safu continued to rough up Connor for a bit until Parkland came back out. Safu took on both men again until ML Matthews, Matt Daniels, Leon Shannon, & Jamie Johnson all came out to stop the big Samoan champion. Before the match, Nick Bockwinkel came out to introduce the special referee, Duan Sanchez Jr. He also let him know that the person who picks up the pin in the match will face Duan one on one on the next show, and their partner will be banned from the arena! Main Event # 1 Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs defeated STL Connection (Devin Curtis & Evan Pagano)Duan didn't seem too concerned about who be his opponent would be, even going as far as to try to quick count everyone who got pinned. In the end, two men in Italian suits came out just as Pagano was about to hit The Calling on Bockwinkel. Pagano looked very upset about this, and said "Not now!" to them. Devin Curtis was asking "Who are they, Evan?" and "Forget about them, finish the match!". The distraction was enough to allow Mike to roll up Evan from behind as Duan was able to finish a quick three count. After the match, Pagano headed to the back with the men, while Jacobs fought with Curtis, and Bockwinkel fought with DSJ, until Bockwinkel & Jacobs were able to escape. As they were going toward the entryway, Duan said "It's cool. I've got your ass next month!" Main Event #2 "The Ace of Harts" Kevin Hart vs. Cody Rejero went to a double DQThese two tore the house down for almost an hour. Like last month, these two Calgary natives were able to lock in their versions of the Sharpshooter to their opponents, and managed to bear the pain once they were trapped in it themselves. Hart then tried his Canadian Bacon finisher, but by that time, Ace Bennett ran out and attacked both men, leaving the ref to call it a double disqualification. Hart & Rejero then started beating Bennett until he was able to escape. They then both offered him to get back in. "You'd both like that, wouldn't you? I won't take either of you on until you're 100%, because your 100%'s combined, aren't even 1/2 of my 100%!" shouted Bennett Just then, TCW Owner, Nick Bockwinkel, came out. "It's funny you say that, because I've just signed a match. You like to get involved in matches? You'll face these men when they're 100%? Good to know, because I'm sure after a month they will be. Then, you'll face them in a handicap match!" Nick left Bennett protesting & Hart & Rejero both pleased by the news. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next MonthHandicap Match"The Ace of Harts" Kevin Hart & Cody Rejero vs. Ace Bennett Nick Jacobs is barred from the arena!Duan Sanchez Jr. vs. Mike Bockwinkel

Minnesota Wrestling Crew? thats allready a team isn't it, glad Jack was able to get the win over Richie this time, hell of a promo between the Kineval brothers, the Safu match was good showing Safu as a true monster, the whole tag match was good but expected it to be clean wonder what the hell is up with the Italian men? didn't like how the main event went near an hour but ended in DQ, whats up with Ace's percentages, don't like the handicap match unless Ace brings someone in, good luck and keep this up
